What I came away with from reading this short story is this; if you feel that God is leading you to do something, follow through with it until the end. Even though we may feel that our efforts aren't being successful we can't be 100% certain what it is that God is doing through us. God only calls us to be obedient He never calls us to be successful. God will accomplish His will as He sees fit through our efforts.
I can relate to this story as I have been meeting with a young man for some time and there are times when I have questioned if my efforts are accomplishing anything. After reading this I believe I have found the answer. It's not for me to decide if what I have done is having the results God intended. Only God can answer that. And maybe He will show us in this life. If not He will certainly make it known when we stand before Him in the next.

Sweetness

Thanks for sharing God's goodness through this short story. It is a beautiful reminder of how the Lord works in us, through us, and sometimes in spite of us to reach the hearts of those in need.

“All God needs from me is a simple willingness to go where He calls whenever He calls.  It’s up to God to bring the miraculous.”

An amazingly simple story celebrating the highs and lows of the reality of faith. 5/5

Great read!

This story encouraged me and strengthened my faith! It helped me relax in the fact God works in ways we will not understand at first and so we should not worry about the outcome as long as we obey Him.
