NEO EDMUND (Writers Guild of America-West) actor turned best-selling author, screenwriter, and comic book writer began his career as a Hollywood actor appearing on numerous television shows, most notably on 150 episodes of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Power Rangers Zeo and Turbo A Power Rangers Movie. Opting to pursue his passion for writing he transitioned into the creative side of the film and TV industry. He is currently authoring his 'Red Riding Alpha Huntress Series' and writing multiple Power Rangers novels for Penguin/Random House.
I had the privilege of meeting Neo at a local Comic Con that took place in my hometown. We had a nice chat and he signed the first book of the series that I bought. I bought the others electronically for my Kindle.
The series was very intriguing, despite all the teen angst. The characters are very well developed and the storyline is strong. Neo allows you to see what it would be like if a teen found themselves with "super" powers and there was no one to help you learn about these powers or even to help you discover why you inherited them. Especially when the adults in your life refused to give you any teachings to help you along. There was great visual and word humor, and a sense of what would I do in Red Riding's place. This is a good series for teens and young adults to read. The world that was created in this series is very colorful and dangerous. But, there is a Happy ending that shows that despite all of Red Riding's misgivings, it all worked out. Perseverance and good morals are a part of this fun series.
