They came to earth. They destroyed my life, took those closest to me, and now they’re set on making me their own.
Ella Monroe has only one goal in life. To survive. Trapped in a world that’s been taken over, Ella is reminded daily of everything that she has lost because of the Vepar. What was supposed to be a fun night out to celebrate her birthday turns into a nightmare encounter at a Vepar club when she catches the eye of three terrifyingly alluring men.
Powerful and seductive, the three Vepar make clear they will stop at nothing to possess her. Unable to escape, Ella is plunged into their dangerous and secretive world, where everything is more than it seems. Ella doesn’t know what the future holds as their prisoner, but one thing is for sure. Their obsession knows no bounds…
I'm a wife, mother, and author! Writing has always been a passion for me, and publishing my first series is a dream come true. I drink too much caffeine, never sleep, and my imagination is always churning out ideas. Eva and her men have been in my head for awhile, and I'm so glad to finally take you with me on this journey!
Typically a 3 star is a "Meh" for me but this one showed promise.
FMC, Ella, was easy to connect with and what that means for me is I understood her aka she made sense. Where the read fell for me were the MCs. Each are very different which I like but each are so important in this world it became to much information. They hold such a high standing in the world Jane created the details came up short. Either this needed to be a longer book 1 or the MCs needed to introduced separately. Their brief introduction left me feeling as if I did not know them.
Still I very much enjoyed the read and feel book 2 should bring all the pieces together for this reader.
No rating from me due to a sad case of "dnf" at around 65-70%.
I just couldn't get into the book. The FMC, aka Ella (was it?), was just such a professional doormat and pushover that I found myself yelling at her to grow a friggin' backbone. She was walked all over by everyone in her life, even by her own thoughts about herself (i.e., she had zero self-confidence), and the only occasions where she showed a bit of teeth were either dismissed quickly or not strong enough displays of character. In other words, her cute little 'pet'-like growls were merely laughed at.
So I'm sorry, but reading about a girl who is a ping pong ball played by just about everyone doesn't really make for an entertaining read. And eventually, when the alien boys started shoving their bodies and hardons against her, I didn't even find it a bit sexy because I was imagining them rubbing against a silent timid doormat (also, ahem, the way the aliens approached her... rapey, much?).
And no, the FMCs don't always have to be kickass, but they could at least have kickass thoughts. This girl wasn't even harsh towards the suckiest friend ever (aka Cherry) inside her own mind. I mean, at least call a bitch bitch under your breath or in your thoughts. Vent out some anger! Kick some balls that steal your wages! Bite some hands that grab you! Slap a bitch that makes you pay for her drinks while you can barely even feed yourself! I mean, my god, woman, just tell everyone to GO SQUAT IN A CACTUS PATCH and let your middle finger do the talking!!
*deep breath*
Otherwise, hey, I totally liked the idea of the book. It just needed a bit more.. Oomph!
Bound is an amazing co-write from C. R. Jane and Mila Young, following Ella in a world that’s been changed after the Vepar invaded and took over everything. After a chance encounter on her birthday, Ella will be sucked into a world with three Vapar’s - Thane, Derrial and Corran. The men are intimidating, terrifying and secretive, as they slowly try to get Ella to understand what they want by keep her with them. Ultimately what they want is Ella, but will she give into them and try to live a somewhat normal life? Or will she continue to fight against the bond that’s building?
These authors have created an imaginative dystopian world, with a bit of a twist with the requirements of a healthy lifestyle, rather than world where everyone is starving.
I recommend Bound by C. R. Jane and Mila Young, and I can’t wait for the next book in the Fallen World series - Broken.
Quite honestly, this kinda reads a bit like a Anna Zaire’s Korrum series rip-off just made an RH. The heroine is pretty pathetic and while I’m not always for a super tough h, I’d like one with some resemblance of a spine. This girl was so passive it was depressing. She wasn’t just passive with the heroes either...oh no, she took the abuse from everyone. Also, there was some really bad typos...I counted at least four times where one hero was called the wrong name...on three pages in a row. I had high hopes for this because I love posessive heroes and the H’s just weren’t fleshed out enough for me to really care that they were an itty bit possessive..
Hurt to read. The writing was very immature. The idea was good but it was poorly executed. Every character was the same person. Phrasing was god awful.
Listen up, get an editor.
Couldn’t finish this and I tried but my right eye started to tick.
Men/alien take over the world? Kidnap unwilling females, lie to them and treat them like dogs. Micromanage their health even. But it's okay because they're all hot? No thank you.
I love both of these authors on their own so when I saw they were writing a book together I knew I had to get my hands on it. I was not disappointed as we are dropped into a world that has been taken over by aliens. Ella is a human female that is just trying to survive in this world barely living paycheck to paycheck. Her BFF is extremely selfish and her boss is words too bad to really put here. Her life changes though when three of the aliens start stalking her until they finally kidnap her after she tries to run away. What follows is one interesting dynamic to say the least full of twists and danger you could never guess is coming. Well built world full of characters that draw you in. Does have a slightly dark theme to it for those that do not like that kind of thing. Book two is going to be fantastic!!! I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
When this book was announced, I was intrigued, as it’s not a co-authorship I would have put together. I’ve not read much from either author, but they do seem to have distinctly different styles (to me, anyway). The result was a hot, angsty(ish) read that drew from the best of both authors’ skills.
Aliens aren’t normally my thing. I’ve read a couple, and they were okay, but I could never really get into them. Not really. Even though I’ve read things I really could get into from both authors, I was still about reserved about this one. But I’d just finished a bully read, was suffering a serious book hangover, and wanted something on the darker side that, and I hate to put this way, I wasn’t already invested in and expecting great things from. I’m so glad I picked this up. It was a brilliant read, although it’s now another series that I’m invested in.
Ella is a darker character. She hasn’t had things easy, but she did rub me a little wrong at first. I tend to like stronger main characters, and initially, I felt that she’s quite passive, whiny and almost deliberately ignorant about those things taking place around her in the wider world because she has a little of a “woe is me” attitude. She would just let things happen to her and lament it. I know, I’m doing such a good job of selling this; stay with me here. I would argue that much of her attitude stems from unresolved grief, so I’m willing to cut her some slack. Towards the middle/end of the book, I feel that she started to find herself, and I’m hoping that’s going to become a bigger proponent of the books going forward. She meets these aliens who are used to having everyone faun over them and fall at their feet, and Ella’s not that person. Granted, some of Ella’s backbone on this point stems from fear, credit it to her that she doesn’t just fall in line. That was where I started to like Ella more as a character. She finds herself in this world that she knows nothing about (although that’s a little bit of her own fault, but not totally), and she fights back, in her own way anyway, against these aliens. This book is a fast-burner and the chemistry and scenes in this book are incredibly hot and sexy.
If you’re someone who hates a cliffie, I have bad news for you. Total cliffie. Huge cliffie. BUT, I would say it’s still worth the read, and the second book has already been announced by the authors, so it’s something to look forward to.
Ella Monroe hasn't had it easy since the Vepar came to Earth and changed everything. Working a dead end job, barely making ends meet and never knowing what actually happened to her parents has left her with a dependency on probably the flakiest person in the world, but it's the best she's got. All she wants to do is survive, and when three powerful Vepar take a liking to her, she does the only thing she can think of, try to run and avoid them at all costs. The problem is, these Vepar are more powerful than Ella realises and they will stop at nothing to possess her. Unable to escape them once they finally catch up to her, she doesn't know what her future holds, or whether she will survive it, but she won't go down without a fight.
This was my first Alien read, let alone my first alien reverse harem read. I don't know why I haven't delved into this side of the fantasy romance world before now, I guess I've seen a lot of books in the Kindle store that make the alien romances seem a bit...cheesy and over the top, and not in a good way. However, this book was not like that at all, and has made me curious about what I'm actually missing.
The alien aspects open up a whole new dimension of story telling, pushing it almost into the science fiction side of things which I'm totally here for. I loved that I hadn't read this particular style of reverse harem before, I mean don't get me wrong, of course a lot of the standard reverse harem stuff is there, but the alien part of the story added a new dimension and possibilities that I really enjoyed. I would definitely count this as an enemies to lovers story, which is part of what I struggled with. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the enemies to lovers trope, but I feel like Ella gave herself a little too easily given how terrified she is of the Vepar. She did put up a fight, and Jane did a great job of writing the Vepar as almost having an enigmatic pull on Ella that she couldn't fight, so it was definitely passable, I just feel like I can't explain what didn't work for me, because I can't work it out.
The story of the Vepar is certainly an interesting one and I love the blend of science fiction with the romance side of the things. I'm super intrigued as to what their actual plans are and whether Ella can trust them or not as they seem incredibly unreliable in the trust department after finishing this first instalment. It just adds to the intrigue in my opinion.
The characters are well written, though I didn't really feel any attraction whatsoever to the Vepar characters, I'm not sure if it's because Jane did too good of a job of writing them from Ella's perspective of them which makes these characters come across as untrustworthy and almost sickening in a way. They are so obsessed with Ella that it made me uncomfortable at times, especially when she gave into them intimately. I feel that this is a testament to Jane's ability to write strong characters as they all had different and easily defined personalities and I really didn't like the Vepar at all. She did such a good job of writing them as the unknown that I felt like I wouldn't have wanted to be near them at all.
This story ends fairly abruptly in a cliff hanger but the series is complete so it's not a huge deal breaker. I am planning on following up with at least the next instalment because I'm curious as to the Vepar's real intentions and whether or not Ella is actually safe with these pretty monsters. There's a lot of unanswered questions that I was left with and I really want some answers.
I struggled with rating this book. Some aspects were 4* and other aspects were 3*. Below is a list of what worked and didn't work for me.
What I Liked: -Though I don't read a lot of Sci-Fi, there aren't many RH Sci-Fi books so they feel like a novelty. -Good or bad, the authors did a great job of making me feel something. Since this is the beginning of a series there is still a lot of mystery which can cause a disconnect but I did connect to Ella, the main female character.
What I Didn't Like: -When there is a story about a human female against a physically superior species, I don't expect the female to be able to overcome the other species physically but to continually cave to their sexiness just frustrates the heck out of me. There is nothing satisfying about weak (in all aspects) female characters. -This goes along with the first issue...I prefer the male to be the aggressor especially in a kidnap situation. There were too many times where the female protagonist either initiates or easily allows intimacy. I personally wasn't looking for non-con or dub-con but a little resistance was expected with the situation. -The book ended at 84%. Since I read a great deal I know I am not satisfied with reading shorter books unless there are several in a series. I knew the page count listed was already bordering on too short but the premise sounded too good to pass up. Had I known the book was shorter than I expected I would have waited. -This was not a factor in the rating because with a series a cliffhanger is expected but this one is going to make me crazy. Gah.
Overall, I did enjoy what I read and am eager to read more. I would recommend this book but unless you have a stellar memory I would advise to wait until there are more books in the series.
Earth has been occupied. Overnight the Vepar invaded and conquered. The beautiful aliens say they come in peace but they required all human women to register, they instated new, mandatory rules, and more frightening, people are disappearing. Ella's own parent disappeared and she's been struggling to survive on her own ever since. Now on her birthday, a night that was meant to be a fun escape, she has caught the attention of three Vepar. Staring leads to stalking; stalking leads to abduction. Now they claim that Ella is theirs. Is their claim to protect her or use her? Either way, she is their prisoner and there is no chance of escape.
Obsession, Possession. Dystopian-sci-fi RH. What a book of contradictions. An alien race with unimaginable beauty claiming to only want to pamper, protect, and cherish women. Healthy eating, exercise, guaranteed safety but at what expense? Thane, Derrial and Corran are gorgeous and powerful. They are also intimidating, secretive, and possibly deadly. Their actions so far do not scream of a race who adores their women. I am not sure what to think or feel about the RH yet. Talk about a roller coaster ride! I was pulled in so many different ways; my opinion changed at the turn of a page. I am completely enthralled with the book. It's so nicely written. I love the premise, I love the uncertainty of the new world, I love the unknown mysteries. I am obsessed with getting answers. I want Ella to be safe and happy. I want Thane, Derrial and Corran to be the men I hope for. I want Cherry to attract her own alien, a Khonsu.
My two favorite authors co-writing a book together? Of course I had to read it. Dark isn't usually my preferred genre, but this one was just right. The guys were assholes, but they did have their sweet and protective moments. Ella has been through so much because of the Vepar invasion, losing her parents, and she hates them for it. So it's just her luck to be kidnapped by three Vepar males, who aren't exactly honest or forthcoming with her. Not much is learned about the Vepars' pasts, but there are glimpses, and there is definitely more to be learned about the guys, their home world, and why they really came to Earth. The steaminess, in my opinion, was perfect and completely consensual. There is absolutely no non-con or dub-con, which I'm grateful about. The one note I have is that for someone who hates Vepar, and blames them for her parents' disappearances, she becomes very comfortable with them. Though, to be fair, they aren't the horrible creatures she believed them to be. However, every time she falls for their sweetness and begins to think they are different, only to be jarred by their cruelty or reminded she is a prisoner, she goes back to hating them. The I hate you, I love you back and forth is the only problem I had. I laughed, raged, blushed, and was left with my jaw dropped by the end of this book. I will definitely be following this series, and its authors, to the very end. I really hope They collaborate more in the future, because it works out amazingly.
I’ve come to learn that the only books by C.R Jane that I actually like is her hockey series. The rest are a let down.
This one in particular is so unsexy and unromantic.
The aliens don’t view her as anything more than a pet. I had high hopes in the beginning. Them seeing her and stalking and them eventually kidnapping was right up my alley. Loved it!
Then we get to the part after she wakes up after being kidnapped and one of the MC’s chokes the shit out of her. Not in a sexy breath play way either.
They don’t care about her. She’s just entertaining and a nice wet hole to stick it in.
Don’t get me wrong, I love a good non-con or dub-con storyline, but there has to be an actual connection between characters. The guys have to actually want the FMC. We don’t get that here. To them she’s just a fun thing to play with.
Also the FMC is weak. Like stupidly limp noodle weak. Not just with the men either. She’s a doormat to everyone around her including her horrible “best friend”.
Everyone takes whatever they want from her and mistreats her and she’s just all “awe shucks, my life sucks.” She doesn’t even think mean thoughts about her “best friend” who blatantly uses her and says very hurtful things to her when she runs to her for help when trying to escape the three men stalking her.
Ella Monroe works hard and tries her best to fly under the radar. She doesn't want to be noticed by the fearsome aliens that have taken over Earth. The Vepar may be taking good care of the women on the planet, but they also make them disappear. A night out with her friend becomes a nightmare for Ella. Three powerful Vepar bring her into their dangerous world and nothing will be the same for her again.
A fantastic reverse harem sci-fi romance. The world building is tremendous. The Vepar came to Earth and had it in their hold fast and firmly. Yet are they bad for the planet? Seeing them through Ella's eyes makes one fear them, but there's so much going on that has yet to be revealed. I love the mystery and the immensity of it. Ella is a heroine who I rooted for right from the beginning. She's loyal, sympathetic, and good-hearted. What I particularly liked was that when she was taken by the Vepar, her reactions were real. She was afraid, she kept trying to get away, and she didn't give up hope for freedom. Who the three gorgeous Vepar are is slowly revealed. Oh yes, there are some steamy scenes, but don't let that distract you from the amazing world and fast-paced thrills. I can't wait for the next book!
I’ve read plenty of alien romances and this stood out amongst the rest. Rather than the aliens taking a human female to their own planet, this takes place on earth. Then add in the whole enigma of the Vespar and their intentions with Ella makes for a thrilling and fantastic read. The world building was fantastic. The characters are all well developed and described, even Cherry who I would love to strangle. I think there is more to that girl than just being a selfish and terrible friend to Ella.
The way the authors have written the 3 alien men in Ella’s life has me going back and forth just like Ella. One moment I trust them, then the next I don’t and find myself feeling angry for Ella. They are still keeping plenty of secrets but then they have moments where they appear genuine and to truly care for Ella.
This is a fast burn RH with a few steamy scenes which were pretty hot. Because of the steamy scenes, I can understand more why Ella feels as betrayed as she does. She felt as if things were real between all of them, only to find out that may not be the case and she’s just another woman in a long list of names.
I look forward to reading the next book to find out what happens with Ella and her 3 aliens.
I have no idea what the hell this book is trying to do, but rest assured it is awful.
In all honesty, the book reads like a billionaire romance, but the authors wanted to make it different, so they brought in extremely humanized aliens who are also very powerful and wealthy and then the authors decided to make them complete dicks who don't understand how humans work, although from staying in Ella's perspective, I don't think the authors do either.
You see, male characters who are going to be portrayed as callous assholes usually have some redeemable quality that makes them tolerable. These guys had nothing but good looks and the ability to make Ella flustered, but I guess that was enough for Ella, who would occasionally say no and then fall on their dicks when the chance arrived.
Furthermore, some portions of this story just jumped from one portion to another and fucked up the continuity. The characters would say something about an event I didn't remember reading and I was absolutely baffled. Add in a multitude of typos, and you get an eventual clusterfuck.
All in all, these characters are too stupid for me, but I bought the bundle containing all the books and I'm damn well getting what I'm owed even if I want these characters to suffer.
This was a poor rip off of Close Liaisons by Anna Zaires, except with a textbook doormat-moron Mary-Sue heroine [who moonlights as a pulsating vagina], annoying, obnoxious little boy love interests, a contrived major conflict, poor language, occasionally disruptive pacing and dull love scenes (the foreplay scenes manage to be kind of hot but with all the telling not showing, vagueness and the author skipping all over the place, the full love scenes are a waste of space...rather like the men).
Also, this author has a nerve writing about depression. She writes a heroine with all the justification for depression, but with none of the actual depressive symptoms (until she says it’s suddenly convenient for her to have one - just one symptom - because we’re at the “climax”).
I refuse to count her keeping the friend who obviously doesn’t care about her as a self-destructive behaviour, because she’s constantly in denial about the friend not caring and not being supportive - she doesn’t even acknowledge all the mooching.
I wish authors would just stop trying to write junk they don’t understand...
I’m tempted to read the next book in the series, not because any of the characters deserve my attention, but because I kind of want to see how the waste of space “men” plan to resolve the ‘human woman incubator’ allegation.
Bound is an interesting new take on an "alien invasion" style narrative. This story follows Ella as she falls further into world of Vepars, the alien life that has invaded planet Earth. There was great world building in this story, helping you to understand how this new world has reacted to the invasion. I like that there are things we are still not privy to, and that Ella became more adventurous and seeking answers towards the end of the book. I really enjoyed the way the book ended, in that it sets up the next book in a way that leaves the reader craving more...
The FMC starts off not trusting the Vepars and their motives for coming to Earth, and worried about if they are responsible for the "disappearance" of her parents. However, as the story goes on she stops thinking about her parents and becomes more susceptible to the wills of the Vepars in the story, which I feel diminishes her character just a little.
Can't wait to read Broken when it comes out to see where this story goes!
**I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author for review consideration**
I won't go into a lot of details since the blurb and a lot of the reviews are pretty detailed. I never have liked giving spoilers, but I myself really enjoyed this book. It ended way too quickly and July 12th is so, so far away. There is a cliffhanger, and so many unanswered questions. I think the MC was not my favorite type in the beginning, but as the book goes, I started to get a better understanding of why she acted the way she did throughout the book's many strange ( how would any one human act unless they had actually experienced some of the things thrown at them,) situations. Sexy times are 🔥🔥🔥 but the intrigue and species of 👽👽👽 along with multiple surprises + not knowing what's a lie or truth has me hooked and I will be definitely eagerly awaiting the next book. Congratulations to C.R. Jane and Mila Young on a unique first in Series sci fi dark reverse harem that had me truly tied and BOUND by the end of book!
This is the first book in a 4 book series. The first book was a quick read and ended in a cliffhanger. This an alien breeding book revolving around a race of humanoid aliens that are invading earth, the Vepar. There are a lot of human disappearances and you’re unsure if those are due to the Vepar or another, more dangerous alien race that hitchhiked on their ship from their dying home-world. Ella hates the Vepar, her parents went missing shortly after the invasion and she had struggled making it on her own. The Vepar stalk, then kidnap her. Her 3 alien captors are scary, dominant, and morally ambiguous... you’re not sure if they’re good or not. They mate her without her permission, biting and blood exchange involved, but she also seems to have a particular weakness for the 3 men, unable and unwilling to fight their advances. Though, she still desires her freedom. I really enjoyed this. Happy to find a reverse harem of morally grey aliens to fall for.
I tried. I really tried but the men in this book have absolutely zero redeeming qualities and the FMC is spineless. The body betrayal syndrome and insane lack of consent… just one giant ick after another.
They see her at a club then stalk her for weeks, kidnap her, imprison her, bond her without her knowledge even though there was a 99% chance it would kill her! Then she’s kidnapped again, she’s tortured and the fancy alien tech can’t heal her. Nope, the only way to heal her is for another bond to be made.
Add in that Derrial’s eyes change from green to blue, and his name is spelled multiple different ways. Corran’s name is only occasionally capitalised, and I’m out.
This book is a hot mess that desperately needs an editor and proofreader. But the harem are some of the biggest red flags I’ve ever read and possibly one of my most hated harems. I didn’t even dislike the guys in Pack Darling this much.
While not the deepest, this story isn't bad. Unfortunately, the editing is horrendous and the writing doesn't make up for it. This was not a free book or Kindle Unlimited, I paid actual money for it, before realizing what I was getting into in terms of quality. This reads like a first draft. They even forget a character's name halfway through and Darrial is Darien for several pages. First names aren't conssitently capitalized, there's stray punctuation and just overall poor flow and much redundancy. There is a lack of continuity, with characters performing an action, and then repeating the same action a few sentences later. This really suffered from poor editing and sloppy, soul-less writing. I was interested in reading the second book, but as it is full price (the same as a mocha down the street) for less than 170 pages? That's just an insult to your readers.
I simply wasn’t able to put this book down. Ella is not typical heroine I would go with, she is strong but somehow sheltered, even if she had her share of difficult years, not believing in her worth but searching, even if she not sure what is she searching for, trusting however keeping her distances. This post alien invasion world is not easy, neither it’s easy to understand what do Vepars want. Specially this three specific bossy Vepars: Thanku, Corran and Derrial. There are motifs for everything to happening, however we will not see them immediately and even when some are shown, we can’t be sure it’s not only some kind of Khonsu’s manipulations. Story finish with huge cliffhanger which will probably kill me before those two authors have time to write next part. But I can tell you one thing, I am sure it will be worth waiting for, because this boom was worth waiting for as well.
I read the blurb to this book months ago and I wasn’t quite sure whether I wanted to read it but I’m so glad I did.
Bound is a sci-fi RH with a cliffhanger ending. I really like the storyline, it’s really intriguing and I found it hard to put the book down. It will be interesting where this leads in future sequels because obviously there’s more going on behind the scenes and the anticipation to find out how this will be revealed has me excited!
I’m not sure if I liked Ella at first time will tell. She tends to give everyone the benefit of doubt a little too much, and whilst she she is highly suspicious of those around her, she doesn’t really do anything to safe guard herself.
July is only around the corner so i suppose I don’t have to wait too long to find out.
2.5 stars to be accurate. I made it through 75% of the book before quitting. I didn't finish because I just couldn't put up with the main character anymore. She's special but not really sure WHY. She's the only one on Earth that is special. BUT WHY??? After 75% through and no reason, I'd had enough. And all she does is lust for her kidnappers. Really? Then she'd complain and remind readers these aliens killed her parents. I didn't care for the main character at all and the plot was not entertaining. Story was flat and slow moving. If you don't care about a story and just want to read about an immature woman sleeping with three different men who are her kidnappers, then you'll like this. Be warned, she complains a lot too. I would not recommend this book. There were many grammar errors too.
I bought the bundle thinking, hey, this is gonna be fun, reverse harem, sexy aliens, shmeksy read. And it was soooo NOT.
I absolutely hate the FMC. Well maybe hate is too strong a word, but very much dislike on the grounds that she is stupid. Read what my fellow readers wrote and you’ll get it. I just can’t even with this girl.
And the men? After the whole choking thing, everything is very eww and rapey and just no. Its control through abuse and fear and disregard of concerns, oh, and the magical ability to make the FMC horny at a glance or presence. Just no. I am literally reading it with a disgusted expression on my face.
But I bought the bundle and I hate to leave a book unfinished.
God, this is gonna take a lot of time and effort.
Just a one girls opinion. Sorry if I offended anyone.
I love C.R. Jane, but a two star rating based on what I did read, because I DNF’d at chapter 12/ 65%🥲 The heroine in this book kind of ruined it for me unfortunately. She has no real personality it seems like and she never stands up for herself. There’s a scene where something happens to her and she gives up immediately. (Actually this probably happens a few times throughout the book.) The alien dudes also don’t seem to care about her well being that much?? Even though they go after her for half the book?? The spicy scenes also aren’t that great🥲
***Spoiler*** After she’s tortured for two pages, she gets saved by one of the three alien guys and it seems like he doesn’t even care that much that’s she’s been through this soul shattering torture🙄 (since we saw she begged for death immediately in that scene) After I read that part, I decided to DNF this book.
