I hate it when the heroine is a journalist!

The heroine: Ariel (a.k.a. Raven) - all through high school she was in love with her best friends brother, Falcon. Falcon gets with all the girls but on the night Ariel puts herself out their, he turns her down flat and she is humiliated and has hated him since.
The Hero(s): Falcon - part owner of The Crimson Elite, a super secret sex club for the rich and famous which has one rule, nobody talks about what goes on there. It isn’t just a rule, it is enforced and those who break it get broken.
The Story: Falcon meets Ariel years after high school and becomes obsessed with her. She hates him and won’t give him the time of day, but he is persistent. He wants her body and nothing more and she is well aware of that fact plus she is a journalist. When a disgruntled high profile prospective member goes to Ariel and starts talking about the club things get messy.
This was a weird one for me. I just wasn’t connecting to the characters I guess. I think because Falcon was such a unabashed man-whore and it seemed his change came too fast and it seems his change was only from a love of being intimate with a different woman every night to a love of being intimate with just one woman every night, not so much a love of that one woman. Though maybe it was just me.
Though the story was good and there were things about Falcon that were redeemable in that he loves his sister and does something huge for her. He also is great with his friends, their wives and the Creed’s little baby. Then just when I really start liking Falcon, it’s Ariel that I started to dislike. As a reporter she wants to write a story about the Crimson Elite that will rocket her into the big time and damn the consequences.
The narration was great though. It was dual POV and dual narration done by Ava Erickson and Alexander Cendese and I really enjoy both of these narrators. Their voices were perfect for these characters. I still plan on listening to the next book Insolence about Darby who is a bit of a dark horse.

I know that TL Smith is a magician with words, but she proves time and time again how truly talented she is. Even when you think you have seen and read it all, there comes her next book and proves you wrong.
”Falcon is like a fine wine, while you have him you have to savor him.”
Conceited is like a rabbit hole, you want to know what is inside, so you dive in and keep falling. You forget about everything around you, being hold captive by Falcon and Ariel. This couple is simply fascinating. I kept grinning from the first chapter to the very last. Their banter, chemistry and attraction is way off the charts. I love how feisty Ariel is, she doesn’t take Falcon’s crap and talks right back. Ariel is a young woman who knows what she wants but stays grounded. Whereas Falcon is one of the most conceited men I’ve read so far. Despite that, he’s a person you can’t help but fall for. Conceited with a heart of gold.
”I run my fingers through his hair and count the ways I will not fall in love with him. Too late.”
Falcon’s and Ariel’s story is so far the lightest one in this series. It still has some dark elements but the way they keep clashing, it’s more like a romcom to me. Nevertheless it’s HOT and a total page turner. The pace and the way their story unfolds totally fits the couple itself.
”…because if there is anything I want more in this life, it’s her. To give her my last breath would be my honor.”
Conceited is a package full of surprises. And before you know it you’ve reached the end of the book not knowing which storm just hit you.

I have never read a T.L. Smith book that I haven't loved. I really enjoy her writing style, and just like the previous two books, Conceited will keep you riveted to its pages. I couldn't put this one down and read it all in one sitting. The two leads had explosive chemistry and absolutely burned up the pages. The plot was fast-paced and intriguing. I loved every single thing about this novel!
Falcon is one of the four owners of the Crimson Elite sex club. He is smoking hot, witty and very full of himself. He is the playboy of the group and it's well known that he never sleeps with a woman more than once. He has never wanted to until her.
Ariel is a reporter and best friends with Falcon's sister. As a teenager, she had a massive crush on him. But when she made her move, she was rejected leaving her heartbroken and full of hate. She has successfully avoided him for years, but her current story put her right in his path. She's older now, sexier than ever and he has definitely taken notice.
Trying to get her first big break, Ariel pursues the rumors of an elite sex club in the city. The place is exclusive and the members are sworn to secrecy. Nobody is to know the location or anything that goes on behind closed doors. If any secrets are spilled, the consequences are severe and usually paid with their life. When Ariel gets too close, the deadly games begin and she soon finds herself in danger. Will Falcon turn against the club in order to save her life?
Conceited is a story full angst, suspense, danger and steamy hot sexy times. I absolutely loved it! This author's books are always so intense and filled with delicious darkness. ⭐️ 4.5 "Stolen Kisses" Stars ⭐️
With Conceited, The Crimson Elite Series is back in force. I was really anticipating this story about the funny manwhore of the group and wasn’t disappointed in the least.

The title of this book is so suitable for Falcon. This player is indeed so arrogant and unapologetic about his sexual prowess! But his total detachment about it entertained me a lot. When Ariel, his little sister’s best friend stumbles into his life again, he immediately wants her and goes for it. He’s determined to have her in his bed and nothing more.
Ariel is a strong and sassy heroine that doesn’t bow to anyone and she certainly gives Falcon a run for his money. She had a teen crush on him, but after being humiliated by him she’s resentful and doesn’t want his attention. She does everything to resist him!
"I'm afraid he will be my greatest love, and more than likely my greatest heartache."
The chemistry this couple share is so intense and their interactions had me smiling so wide. They are a good fusion of flirty, funny, emotional, sweet and had me totally charmed. I had chills from their beautiful moments together, but also lost my breath from the passion they radiate! The development of their romance is so well paced and lovely!
I also liked the dynamics between each of the guys throughout the book. Even if they’re friends and have each other’s back, it doesn’t mean they can’t be selfish too for their own gain. The suspenseful vibe of the storyline is very interesting and attention grabbing! It brings particular moments of tension that had me gasping!
"That's how you describe what we are. Like a fucking ocean, crashing against each other, trying to work out which way to go even if we're being pushed in one direction, one we aren't certain we want to go in because it's all new territory for us."
T.L. Smith is back with an excellent new addition to the Crimson Elite Series. Conceited was an amazing read and gives the reader a little preview of what’s to come for Darby’s story! Now, it’s another one I’m so intrigued about!

Falcon and Ariel have one explosive story to tell you and you will be glued from the beginning to the last word. T.L. Smith does her magic words again to hypnotize you with this 5 star book. You definitely need to read this book and series, it is perfection.

Ariel is in pursuit of the story that could advance her career. However, the club is Elite for a reason and getting her story could cost her everything. Falcon needs to find a way to keep her safe.
Falcon was sexy, persistent and once he set his sights on Ariel, he was determined. The past between them, that she remembers, is not the whole story. He’s ready for her to hear the truth and give them a chance.
Their banter and sexual tension was witty and intense. He was the guy who thought women were something to be enjoyed and then quickly discarded. He’s about to get schooled! All she wanted was to find the person to share her life. Together they would find everything they need.

De novo , um bom passatempo mas não superou o primeiro livro da série .
Aqui a ideia da história até era boa e prometia . Falcon se envolver com a melhor amiga de sua Irma que é uma repórter e quer conseguir o furo de reportagem que pode destruir o negócio dele e de seus amigos .
Mas achei tudo rápido e a perseguição de Falcon para conseguir dormir com Ariel me incomodou um pouco , e no fina, teve um acontecimento que me fez querer bater nesses quatro amigos e achei que Ariel perdoou aquilo muito fácil .
Ponto positivo eu gostei de Ariel , até este acontecimento aí , e foi bom rever O casal do primeiro livro.

This might have been 3 stars but... I kind of hated Falcon... A Lot. He was nothing like Echo or Creed and definitely a grade A prick. Not to mention a Man whore to the extreme. Another thing that knocked a star off for me was his behavior toward and dealings with OW. In fact there were two things that nearly had me DNF this book and I'll drop it here in warning.

Conceited - one word that’s enough to describe the main character. I’m in a wrestling match with myself when it comes to the rating of this book, because I liked the plot very much but the behavior of the mentioned hero not so much. At least for ¾ of the book I wanted to jump inside and slap him in the face. Fortunately, he rehabilitated himself at the end and showed his other side, which completely melted my heart.
Eternal bachelor and the biggest manwhore you've ever met - it's all Falcon. Women throw themselves at his feet, but he never repeats his conquests. At least until he meets the ghost from the past - his sister's best friend, whose advances he once rejected. Now Falcon decides to take advantage of the chance that fate has given him. But there’s a small problem - Ariel hates Falcon after the way he humiliated her. However, this man will not rest until Ariel ends up under him.
Where I really enjoyed the banter between the main characters, some actions performed by Falcon left a distaste. I totally understand the idea of lack of commitment, etc., but there are limits when it comes to honesty towards the woman you are hitting on. Somehow I can’t stomach it ... I'm glad that Ariel made Falcon work for anything. And at the moment when the guy finally realized his feelings towards his sister's friend- be still my heart! Only then I swooned over his character and I could fully empathize with described story. And this second-chance romance is really a great story if you turn a blind eye to some of the cocky hero's behaviors ;)

I enjoyed this one, but it’s not my favorite. I noticed in the audiobook that the wrong name was used for Echo’s girlfriend. It confused me for a minute. I don’t think it’s like that in the book though. I’m still loving this series and I’m sad it’s almost over. Now onto the last book!

4.5 Elite Stars
I am loving this series but I think this is my favourite to date.
Four friends, one Elite sex club, Four different love story's with a dash of dark, sexiness and hotness.
Conceited is a story of unrequited love, teenage crushes, and a love-hate relationship.
Falcon is your typical man-whore kind of guy out of the Elite friends, he's cocky, doesn't sleep with a woman more than once, he's sexy and witty to boot.
Ariel is the best friend of Tracy who is Falcon's sister and after not seeing Falcon for a few years she crosses paths with Falcon again while she is working as a reporter following the whispers of an Elite club and is trying to get the dirt and more information on the secret club in the city.
If you have been following this series you will know that The Elite club is exclusive and no-one must say were it is or what goes on in this secret club, let it slip and you will lose your life, members know the consequences and dangers but Ariel is determined to follow her leads and find out more putting her own life in danger too.
What a turn around this was, when Ariel meets falcon again she can't stand him for his rejection all those years ago when she was 17 but falcon now he's seen the older, even more, hotter version of Ariel he can't get Ariel out of his head.
I loved the push and pull in this book, the angst, the danger and the sexy times. I do love a teen-crush, brothers best friend to lovers kind of romance and along with everything else that was in this book, Falcon's sexy demeanor and cockiness, the way he just kept rubbing Ariel up the wrong way, it just that little bit more than the previous books.
I am so looking forward to the last book. T.L Smith always adds hotness, angst, drama and a touch of dark to her books. Some books by T.L Smith are darker than others and I love the balance in her plots that always gives me everything I need that has me turning the pages eagerly.
Can be read as a standalone but would be appreciated more if started from the first book in this series which is Cavalier, Creed and Elicia's story.
Told in first person dual pov, leads to hea.

I am loving this series but I think this is my favourite to date.
Four friends, one Elite sex club, Four different love story's with a dash of dark, sexiness and hotness.
Conceited is a story of unrequited love, teenage crushes, and a love-hate relationship.
Falcon is your typical man-whore kind of guy out of the Elite friends, he's cocky, doesn't sleep with a woman more than once, he's sexy and witty to boot.
Ariel is the best friend of Tracy who is Falcon's sister and after not seeing Falcon for a few years she crosses paths with Falcon again while she is working as a reporter following the whispers of an Elite club and is trying to get the dirt and more information on the secret club in the city.
If you have been following this series you will know that The Elite club is exclusive and no-one must say were it is or what goes on in this secret club, let it slip and you will lose your life, members know the consequences and dangers but Ariel is determined to follow her leads and find out more putting her own life in danger too.
What a turn around this was, when Ariel meets falcon again she can't stand him for his rejection all those years ago when she was 17 but falcon now he's seen the older, even more, hotter version of Ariel he can't get Ariel out of his head.
I loved the push and pull in this book, the angst, the danger and the sexy times. My, my, Falcon is just like I expected him to be and then you get all the dark little pieces that were just perfect.
Falcon is very full of himself. He has never really had to work for anything. He is a playboy and uses his good looks to his advantage. The title of this book accurately describes him, Conceited. But when Raven shows up she is going to give him a run for his money.
Ariel, or Raven was in lust with Falcon for a long time. Being her best friend's older brother didn't curb her feelings, but one night of rejection set a course and hardened her heart. Now that she is back years later, all grown up, looking for the stroy that will launch her career, she doesn't have time for Falcon's games. While he isn't any less beautiful he is all sorts of something she does not want.
A lot of this book was filled with sexy, thick tension and witty retorts. Also has a touch of the dark and dirty feel that has been present in the other books and just has that tone that calls to me. I was glued to this story, the playboy and the reporter, who have history and just maybe a future. I enjoy the mix of the other characters and seeing how they fair after their story was told. I can't wait for the last of the four friends, he seems like the hardest nut to crack and I am excited to see what kind of trouble his one makes for him.

Unable to walk away but fighting the need to handle the situation Falcon finds himself doing something new - working for it. They have a history and wounded pride is difficult to overcome especially when Falcon is just ...well...so Falcon.
This story is sexy, steamy and a second chance romance story all wrapped up in amazing one liners and witty banter. Ariel is feisty and determined. A perfect duelling partner for the man that is never told no, until her. The Crimson Elite are all involved in this story showing their loyalty and bond when things get tough. Family, love and loyalty is a strong undercurrent to this series and I enjoyed the humour and sense of fun Falcon provides. The will they won’t they of their story is consuming and I devoured it whole in one sitting. I can’t wait to see where the story takes us next!

I am totally loving this fantastic series and this book was a little tame compared to the first 2 books in the series, however it didn't lack the punch that the other delivered it was just different. I suppose that can be put down to the characters and the interaction that you get from them.
Yes I know I am being completely vague in my view and opinions but if I was to full on tell you the why's and what fors then the whole story would be ruined. Because this story isn't about a stranger coming into the fold. It's about someone they all know. Falcon plays a cat and mouse game with Ariel aka Raven and the game isn't easy or fun for any of them at all.
Falcon is a total ladies man and can be a bit of a pig in some respects when it comes to women, it's not that he isn't honest, it's just that he see them as indispensable in some ways. He never has to work for it. Until Ariel fires back in a total feisty way that Falcon just can deal with. Ariel is one tough, no nonsense woman and she doesn't suffer fool, especially not Falcon.
This story is hard to read in parts and friendships are strained to breaking point. Now that's all your getting from me, as perhaps I have said too much already. Know it's a great story, totally worth the read and a great addition to this series. A total recommend from me.

I've been waiting on Falcon's story and it didn't disappoint. Falcon is a committed womaniser, he loves women and has no intentions of settling down. Ariel has been in love with him for years but after a rejection she now can't stand him. I loved the way Falcon has to chase after Ariel. When he sees a women he wants he becomes very determined, just loved her put downs. The problems come when Ariel who's a reporter is looking into the club a club that must stay a secret.
I enjoyed the relationship between the main characters, the witty back and forth banter, genuine affection and sizzling hot chemistry. An intriguing story with a dark element running throughout. What happens when the secret must be protected at all costs will the Falcon protect his Raven.

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. Oh man the drama in this one was off the charts. I couldn't get enough of falcon, he's just dreamy even if he is playboy lol. Ariel I really liked her she was very strong willed. Now Darby oh man I still don't know how to feel about him.

Conceited is the third book in the Crimson Elite series. When your younger sisters best friend makes a play for you and you try and do the right thing she then hates you forever. Falcon is a man whore and lives his life to the fullest , his moto is one and done! As the Falcon seeks out his prey in Raven, secrets will need to be kept and trust will need to be held. A fiery and intriguing story that will have you enraptured and on the edge of your seat right to the very end. The Raven doesn’t make the chase easy for the Falcon and for once it might not be just an easy swoop in and out.

Let me just put this out there... Echo will always be my number one. He has stolen my heart and I never want it back... but Falcon is a close second. I loved his man whore ways, the way he was so unapologetic in his quest to get under Ariel’s skin, I loved it.
The banter back and forth between them was amazing, enemies to lovers is my favourite trope so I knew I would love this book just from reading the blurb.
The chemistry and interactions from the pair had me grinning from ear to ear throughout, I just couldn’t help it.
The Crimson Elite books are my guilty pleasure and I’m kinda mad at T.L Smith for creating such epic, swoony alphas that I want so badly to be real.

My least favorite installment. I even considered not finishing it. 🥴
I will straight up say it: I could not stand Ariel/Raven AT ALL. 🙄 Her reason for “hating” Falcon was completely irrational and her overall character was just not my cup of tea.
As for Falcon? Man, I had been excited for his story but he made it difficult to really love his character. The title was definitely very fitting, I will say that! 😂 Thankfully, I did end up liking him but the narrator wasn’t much help here either. His take on all the characters was…off. Almost like he was narrating in an overly excited manner.
The idea behind the story was actually really good which is what kept me going. That, and I did really end up warming up to Falcon. So that helped too.
All in all, if you have the audible plus program, sure, check this one out (you can borrow via the subscription). Definitely not my fave from the series.

It’s here! The third book in the Crimson Elite series Conceited by T.L. Smith. These stories just keep getting better and better and I have loved them all. With great characters that will pull you in and make you never want to let go. With a naughty playboy who has never had a relationship Conceited tells Falcon’s story and it is over the top out of control. Funny in a way that you don’t expect,
Falcon doesn’t know how to date so his methods are outrageous. Lots of drama and sex, this book is fantastic. Of course, T.L. Smith can only write stories worth 5-stars and Conceited is no different. The fourth book Insolent is due out soon and will tell the story of the clubs most closed off owner Darby.

When Ariel comes across a story about a private sex club, she can’t help but run with it, no matter the anonymous warnings she keeps getting. Soon after her source is killed all the pieces start to come together and Ariel can no longer deny the players involved with the club.
