An easy read that dips a toe into Inca mythology and folk tales. Before each tale, the author provides interesting social and political background. The stories are told in a straight-forward, bare bones manner, but even in this sparse state, they're colorful enough to spark vivid imagery. It's a good starting spot for those wanting to learn more about this side of Peruvian culture and history.
A short book with a few Inca stories and myths. You will get the flavor of the culture through the myth, but it’s a bit disjointed and I’d like to see more framing and explanations.
A light read but useful if you want an introduction to the incas. However it did sadden me about how much of the original material was destroyed by colonial forces.
