North is the heir to a booming family business. He was due to take control of the company on his thirtieth birthday in six months, but his grandfather has added another stipulation to the deal. North can't take over until he's put down roots and started a family. As an alpha in the prime of his life, North isn't interested in "settling down" and instead hatches a plan to get his hands on the company while avoiding his grandfather's restrictions.
Dante has worked at Omega for Hire as an escort for a while now. People usually hire him for short term gigs, mostly as arm candy to parties and dinners. When he gets an offer to be North's live-in boyfriend for the next six months, he's hesitant to take the offer and bail on all of his regular clients. But the money is too good to turn down and the idea of living in the lap of luxury until North's birthday sounds like a dream.
But an unexpected heat and some misplaced suppressants might just turn this temporary situation into a permanent one.
I liked the blurb more the actual book. Dante was somewhat of a jerk at times and the story felt rushed. I know it’s a shirt read but it could have been a little better. ( Oh and P.S. editor please proofread!!)
I love a fake relationship trope, and I enjoyed the beginning, but quickly found it to be a bit over the top and hard to believe.
I really liked both of the characters, but I found the plot to be contrived, the writing and dialogue a bit stilted, and the smut kind of cringeworthy.
The author tried for the emotional payoff and to show a real connection between the MCs with Dante's mother's death as a catalyst, but their romance all went a bit too fast after that with over the top love confessions.
And then the quick jump to the birth scene took me aback. It was so sudden and such a timeskip did nothing for the plot or to show a real connection between the main characters.
As an aside, I was also disappointed in the way that the actions of the grandfather were handled and just brushed aside with little to no consequences.
I really wanted to like this book, but in the end it was just okay...
I'm trying to decide if I want to try some of the others in the series and hope that the writing improves.
I’ve read this author before. This is a mpreg story about rich alpha North and omega Dante. What starts out as a business transaction with North hiring Dante, turns into their HEA. Just add a baby. Can’t wait to read more from this series.
It was a cute story, although there were a few parts where time was skipped, and I would have liked to see more interaction between them before the whole suppressant mess or the pregnancy.
Short but sweet. I don't like how thinks unfolded in the last bit with the grandparents but other then that it was good. Gonna keep reading the series and see if this author becomes a new favorite.
When North hired an omega to help secure his inheritance, the last thing he expected was to find his soulmate. Dante' felt this opportunity came just when he needed it, he's trying to build a nest egg for when he goes home to help his sister with their sick mother. What he didn't expect was to start to develop feelings for this Alpha, but it was happening more each day. So,when Dante's mother health changed unexpectedly he had to go home. What surprised him was North's insistence to come with him,he didn't like it but finally agreed. What was really surprising when he got there was his own insistence that North accompanying inside the hospital to visit his mom. Then even though he did everything but cut North's head off,North never wavered he stood by his side and took care of him and his sister until the end. Dante didn't understand this behavior, he could see North was falling for him but he just thought it was because they had sex during his heat. North had other ideas, he was having, been having feelings for Dante that he couldn't explain. But, he came to the conclusion that their fake relationship had suddenly became very real he loved him and wanted to keep him. Come to find out they're on the same page, because once North got Dante to finally open up the truth came out that was the true beginning of their life together and their happily ever after.😍😍
Déjà vu, cliché, uneventful, redundant ... what else can I say?
From the blurb to the last word of the book I had the feeling that I read the book before because the narration was monotonous, colorless and banal, the same words, the same formulations, the same twists that I read in dozens of books before ... they are all gathered in this one sparkless read. I should have stopped myself after having read the description because it reminded me way too much of the book "Alpha's Virgin Omega" written by Austin Bates, a book that I didn't particularly appreciate, but I prefer Austin Bates' work to this one.
Bored, I am usually easily impressed by the books I read when I want to kill time, but it didn't work with this one. It's hard to be tactful and accepting when you have the feeling that you didn't kill time reading a book but wasted few hours of your life on something that wasn't worth it.
1 * star for the typos, the trite blurb, the banality of the storyline ... and everything that I've talked about before. Added to this, the ugly cover.
This seems to start a series, I am not looking forward to it. This first book gave me a negative impression already. I think I won't read more from this author. I like originality and craftiness in books ... this story was the opposite of my taste.

I loved that both North and his grandfather both thought that they were both being clever but it made them as bad as each other. Dante was lovely and far more sensitive than he appeared. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story set in the Omegaverse with mature content and MPREG.
This book was an easy read, with a fun concept and entertaining start however it just fell flat for me.
Could have been longer to allow better development and exploration of the plot, as its pretty much blink and miss it. Timeskips and just glimpses at them together, then suddenly in love and thats that.
I will admit to loving the first half though, as they seemed interesting on their own and strong characters. With a great and fun first meeting between North & Dante, plotting the contracts and flirting they definitely had chemstry.
I enjoyed Dante so much, he takes the lead a lot and i adored him. His smart and know how to get what he wants, i liked that he didn't let himself fall too easily. North took a bit to grow on me, but he was lovely with Dante.
Sadly that was all though as it then skipped over them actually spending time and learning about each other.
The realisations of feelings come due to a couple of side plots and family, so yeah i just didn't see their romance at all.
Although implied later when they declare their love which was sweet with the little details North mentions, just wish had seen more of their relationship explored instead of just told about.
The ending felt sudden but still great, with a happy finish for them 💕
I will preface this by saying I really like Aria Grace's writing usually and mpreg is a favorite trope of mine. What I didn't like was the editing mistakes. I also had a hard time liking the characters. They spent 80% of the book just talking about themselves and how great they are and whatever it was that they were going through. They were very self centered. Not once in all their self adoration were their looks described. They are never described physically beyond being good looking. I don't care if they are hot or not (which could mean different things for everyone) but I want to be able to imagine the characters in the book. I know it's only a 200 page book so I'm not expecting what amounts to one chapter to describe the characters but at least give me something. I don't think I will continue with this series just based off of not particularly liking this one and the blurb for the next book didn't exactly thrill me.
I enjoyed this story for the most part and it is an interesting start to a new series. Dante and North are an intriguing couple but it took me a while to like North as he is a bit of a jerk in the beginning. They have nothing in common and their relationship is defined by a contract but when Dante needs someone to help and support him through a very difficult time North is there for him in every way. I like how their relationship evolves, they have a great connection and Dante is an unexpected delight. I wish there was more world building and background information about both of the MC's and the lack of editing bothered me a lot but as I read an ARC this may have been rectified before it was published. I look forward to reading the next book in this new series.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Good: + The characters were interesting and the fake boyfriend plot was decent. Bad: - Dante took out his emotions on North a lot. While that happens sometimes in relationships, I don't really want to see it in romance books. -
Overall this book was ok. I'm always a sucker for fake relationships but I didn't buy that North fell in love with Dante that fast or vice versa. There weren't really any scenes of then spending time together for their relationship to change. I guess we were just suppose to assume there were but even the author said they see each other for a few minutes in the morning and then Dante is never home when North gets home from work, so besides the heat scene and the trip to see Dante's mom not much else happened. And yeah, I'd have been super pissed at the Grandfather too for his actions, definitely not right.
It started as a fake relationship, one of those "I need to look like I'm interested in order to get my family off my back" schemes that never ends the way it was planned. Dante is an escort that is hired by wealthy North to throw off his familys nagging for an archaic/old timey marriage to show hes invested in his families business. What happens next is as unexpected as their transaction becomes more relationship than they ever thought. It was an enjoyable read, and I look forward to the next one in the series
Alpha’s Fake Omega was a sweet story about two men falling in love. North is a powerful Alpha who stands to inherit his Grandfathers company. When he’s told he need to have a omega and settle down or no company, he goes to Omega’s For Hire. Dante is a very sought after escort, when North hires him to be his Fake Omega he sees an ends to his means. The two are very professional about their relationship until life gets in the way. This book is fun but also has some sad moments, all in all great read
I enjoyed the story for the most part. There were things I didnt like. Like... do we know what Dante and North look like? Besides "handsome" and "sexy"? I mean... eye color? Height? Complexions? Hair color? There wasnt much foresight into those types of things. Also the time skips were a little crazy. And I'm all for unisex names and all... but RUTH is not the name for a boy.... but besides all that (and a few wording errors more towards the end of the book), it was a read that kept me hooked till the end in one sitting.
My thoughts on this book are mixed because overall it was just okay. The story between the two main characters was very rushed and it was kinda hard to feel any connection to them. The third star is only added because of the part about the loss of his mother. It’s been a while since a book made me cry but that part was just so heartbreaking.
I already know that I’m not going to read the other books in this series because it just didn’t leave me wanting more.
The story was a bit rushed, but what irked me the most, is the thing grandpa did. Well, I don't know where you all live, but in my country that is a serious thing. I would so sue that bad man so so much. And nobody thinks there is something wrong with it??? The whole city is facing a babyboom and omegas are stripped of their rights to their bodys and how they plan to have a family an with whom? How many poor omegas were ... conset is a thing... or isn't it? I couldn't feel that these guys had a healthy thing going on. And a baby or money can't fix that.
The story Aria has written is a compelling and very sweet story of two men, who were brought together by an elaborate scheme and yet came out of it better and more true than before. The MCs are easy to like, very real and imperfect. The whole world built in the book, including a host of brilliant secondary characters, is a perfect setting for a pair of men overcoming obstacles and learning valuable lessons while at it. Totally recommend the book :)
The ending of the main storyline was rushed and it included a character admitting to an action that affected far more than one of the main characters. It was manipulation at a level that far exceeded the fake-boyfriend deception, yet they were presented as balancing each other out. I skimmed the two epilogues. The lack of any real consequences ruined the story for me.
The premise had something but the delivery failed. I think it could do with a major re-write cause the main issue in this novela is the need to suspend disbelief to the 110% to be able to accept it, and yeah a bit of work on making the characters a bit less one dimensional and to develop their relationship better.
Writing style is ok. I insist that the author had something here and really, maybe a redo could give actual gold.
I learned a new word and I loved it. Granddom. Old school omega term. Funny and sweet this story of finding a fake love and it turning out to be not so fake. I enjoyed the scene of Dante hiding because he couldn't find his suppressants and the house looked like it was ransacked. I read and reviewed a copy of this book.
