My world was a gray blur until I met them. My shifters. The men who rescued me from the lie I was living.
For a brief moment, even in the midst of chaos, I found happiness.
Then Strand found me again.
Now my new life hangs in the balance.
Doctor Shepherd isn’t done with his little experiment, and he wants me back, alive. When Strand hunters rip me away from everything good I fought so hard for, something inside me snaps.
But when my wolf is finally called, her untamed power upends everything in my life—including my relationships with the four shifter men who mean more to me than anything.
There’s a monster inside me. And she’ll either save me or destroy me.
Wolf Called is the second book in The Last Shifter series, a reverse harem story intended for ages 18+. This book contains strong language, violence, sexual situations, and a heroine who doesn't have to choose between her men.
Yay it's getting better and keeping me on my toes. I still have a ton of questions though!!
Wolf Called is the second book within the last shifter series. So far, the characters are still on the run from The Strand but mostly the terminator guy. I laughed so many times when they referred to him as that but at least we finally find out his actual name. I'm going to stick with terminator though (it sounds way cooler).
Now these five are still one a mission to save a fellow shifter. She just happens to be related to one of them.. but pack is pack so they are going after her. Since these guys are all in close quarters for most of the book, you can definitely see the sparks starting to fly. Of course, we got little glimpses in the first book but the romance definitely stepped up. I especially loved when Alexis became more of a bad ass.
Her wolf came out! It didn't help that she was kidnapped by someone close to her but damn - that bitch was fierce. I loved it all and can't wait to see their bond get closer. Then there's the fact that they all claimed each other as mates - which yay! I am so happy that I didn't have to wait forever for any of this to happen.
In the end, I still have a ton of questions. Mostly because we found out that there's a bunch of facilities, a new guy in power (who was also close to Alexis), and they are all with the lost pack. Seems like danger is in the air still so I need to dive into book 3 to see what the heck is going to happen next.
Alexis and her guys are still on the run and continue searching for Reece’s sister. But something has changed in her life and that’s her very own shifter waking up inside of her. Alexis is so new at being a wolf she barely has control of herself the first few times and there’s a few close calls. She tries being a martyr and usually it gets her into even more trouble and tends to leave her injured, another thing that takes up significant time in the book considering she needs time to heal-sadly not a shifter trait she inherited. With her wolf finally making an appearance she pretty much finalizes everything between her and the guys by claiming them all as her mates, not something that everyone is fully ready to accept just yet. With one plot line completed I’m not sure where the books will go from here. While many of the ‘new’ shifters will stay with the Lost pack I have a feeling more people are going to want to rescue their loved ones or at the very least take down the company once and for all. How they’ll achieve this remains to be seen.
Excellent series, must be read in order or better yet the box set as I did . Yes it’s a reverse Harem series but to be honest it’s not a steamy or erotic as most , and the story way more than makes up for its genre. The characters are wonderful the story is stunning, and I would recommend it
Ok follow up to the first novel, but the holes in the character illustrations continue to irk me. We still don’t get origin stories for any of the guys, only a single detail about West’s past. The other thing that is never explained is where they get all their money to throw around for new identities. Where did they earn it? Where do they keep it? Do they have a bank account somewhere? We still learn nothing new about Alexis – still no info about her upbringing or education at the Strand facility. What did she do with herself while she was there?
Thankfully, another complete plot that ends with a segue for the next novel. My only issue with the plot here was when the guys with tactical experience take this totally untrained, uneducated (?), highly prized asset of the Strand BACK into a Strand building. What could go wrong? Oh, you mean, like could she accidentally set off an alarm because she’s having a PTSD/emotional reaction to her first time being back in a facility run by the people who stole her life. That’s just the beginning of the possible blunders. At no time does anyone say, “since she’s a prized asset, we shouldn’t take her back into one of those facilities and make it EASY for them to re-capture her.” Nope. She’s says, “I want to help,” and the guys are just like, “ok, you can help if you can shift.” Never mind that she’s NEVER shot a gun or even driven a car. Her skill set is simply NOT helpful in this situation at all, and she should never have been able to go in with them. The fact that she saves the day is pure luck. She should have been outside in the van with Carl and Molly.
Not sure if I’ll read the next novel since this one didn’t have any further character illustrations. How can I care about these guys if I know nothing about them? Them being good looking and funny/ tender/ protective/ haunted is just not enough to hold my interest.
This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Sadie Moss!
Wolf Called is the second book in The Last Shifter series and continues the story of Alexis and her four shifters.
Wolf Called started where Wolf Hunted ended and it was so fast paced and well written. I couldn’t get enough of the story. I thought that I was going to read a few chapters and then go to bed, but I had to know what was going to happen to the characters, so I kept on reading until I finished Wolf Called.
I really loved the story and I think that we got to know Alexis and her four shifters a bit better. Some big things happened in Wolf Called and the relationship between Alexis and her four shifters has changed…
I still don’t know who my favourite shifter is. In the beginning I was a bit worried that I was going to hate that Alexis likes all four of the shifters, but I actually really like it. Every shifter is different and I get why Alexis doesn’t want to choose!
Wolf Called was an amazing sequel and I cannot wait to read the third book, Wolf Claimed!
If you live among the wolves you have to act like a wolf!
This book had it all!! Action, blood, suspense and romance! Alexis kicks A**!!! Be careful what you wish for, you wanted a wolf? You got a wolf! Revenge never been so sweet! She is one of the best wolf creations yet! Alexis is ready to fight and give them what they want: The big bad wolf she is. She is just getting started and her enemies need to understand who they are messing with. Wolves will get ready to fight back. Everyone get ready is about to get bloody real. More Swoon worthy scenes with my boys! #Alexis&her wolves
I didn't like this one as much as I did the first in the series.
These books are either very short or I'm just inhaling them. Book two was full of action and adventure. The mate bond was rather sudden and definitely unexpected. I would've loved a spark, something special. I don't know, it lacked in my opinion. Overall, I loved the pacing as far as the storyline goes. But also,, there's a lot of telling not showing. I wanted more emotion to back up actions.
Anywho.
Excited to see how the story will play out and I definitely want more romance between the bonded. It's driving me to read faster.
Pretty much the same as the book before! Interesting, focused plot on saving Sariah, but otherwise kind of lackluster! I saw a review calling this series shallow, and I’m inclined to agree.
This one was just a bit more interesting than the previous one, mainly because we’re getting more information about shifters and some character development is finally happening.
Still embarrassed that I’m reading this, but interested in where it goes. (And I really want to see how they’ll develop the polyamorous relationships in this series--it's my first time encountering this genre)

Things definitely picked up in this one!! I was so glad that we got to see Alexis shift. And damn, her wolf is a fucking badass. I reallyyy want to know what color her fur is though. I don't it said what color it was once :(( It’s hilarious how her wolf is twice the size as the guys, and yet the guys tower over her in their human bodies 😂
The guys were amazing, and always. It’s about damn time that became her mates. Rhys had a special place in my heart though <3 His grumpiness and undying protection is sweet and hot. But for all of the amazingness, there’s always the one guy who fights against the attraction and is super grumpy towards the girl. I telling you, every RH book I’ve read always has that one guy. And in this one it’s West. Which was shocking, cause he was super sweet in the first book. I hope he’s able to get over his past and heal, so they can become true mates. 🥺
The Lost Pack seems sus. I don’t like them at all.
The story took a bit of a different route than I thought, but it was still a fantastic book! Love the relationship building between Alexis and her wolves, and their unlikely new allies. Look forward to book 3!
I’m loving this series so far! There is tons of action and just enough romance with her and the guys. I’m super excited because I just saw the next book was out before I reviewed. On to the next!
It takes an incredible talent to write multiple series and have them all be delightfully and uniquely amazing.
Sadie Moss has that talent in spades but I think at this point we all know that I've been fangirling since her first book. That being said, my opinion still counts and I promise to be a good girl and be totally honest about my completely biased and positive feelings (kidding, kidding!).
Book 2 of the series is even better than Book 1. Sadie writes each scene vividly and the visual impact of her words are incredible! It’s like reading while wearing VR goggles!
This book kicks off with action and follows on from the moment that the first one ends. And it's all movement and action from page 1 – some parts are slower, so it’s not boom, bang fighting action; but each page has development.
All the strength, resilience and adaptability that we saw under the surface with Lexi in Wolf Hunted blazes to the fore and we see so much more of who she is and who she is capable of being as she continues to come into herself. I love watching her grow and seeing her personality develop (she’s a feisty one!) – and we get to see how she progresses along with the relationships she forms in this new life. She has so much kickasseryness!
There’s a new dynamic between Lexi and her guys and they're learning, at a better pace than the previous book, that the 5 strands of the rope are always stronger together. I love the group dynamics this time around, and I love watching it develop and grow – even the awkward and very unexpected situation that arose from the situation that was expected. I am also enjoying that each book tells the tale of the group but also has a bit of an isolated focus on the individual guys so it feels like every person kinda gets their own book as well as part of the whole.
We meet some new characters who bring a great, new spin to the story and they both add an additional depth and dimension to the story that really brings out my warm and fuzzy kick butt side – one of them especially is a favourite because she has such heart! I do hope that we see them again.
As a 4-part series, I am honestly frustrated because I desperately want to read it all and read it all faster than I can get my hands on them. But I am also honestly intrigued because there are movements and transitions and it starts off slower, picking up the pace until through each book, we eventually reach the crescendo. It’s going to be fantastic and so worth it!

This book is even better then the last one!!! I seriously can't wait to read the next one! I hope everything ends up alright in the next book this has bot me on pins and needles! I'm so full of questions there just burning on my tongue but I'm sure they'll be answered with the next 2 book's!
Enjoy reading this series. It’s so good . Sexy, hot, protective men 😍😍😍😍 what else do you need ? Plus Alexis is becoming suck a badass I’m really enjoy seeing/ reading her growth. On too the next book
Wolf Called The Last Shifter, Book 2 By: Sadie Moss Narrated by: Laurel Schroeder
I am loving this series and it’s characters! Sadie Moss is a gifted author and a master at creating original and fascinating storylines & characters. They are imaginative, yet she makes them seem realistic and easy to relate to as she brings you into the world she created. This book picks up right where the first book ended, Alexis has been captured and is being transported back to Strand’s research facility, she gets to face the woman who raised her too. Facing danger Alexis’ wolf surfaces and battles for her freedom, Rhys, Jackson, Noah and West find her injured but alive and take her back to Carl’s so they can get her help. Alexis saw a list of test subjects before escaping her captors including Sariah Walker, Rhys’s sister. I loved how everything plays out in this book, Alexis has to learn to deal with her wolf and the bond she has with the four wolves. Two new allies, Carl and Molly, help them find the facility where they are holding Rhys’ sister and they devise a plan to get them out. There is never a dull moment in this book, there is plenty of drama, some angst, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt ones and some hot ones as it slowly builds and burns to a reverse harem romance. Sadie Moss, thank you for another great story.
I listened to the Audible edition, Laurel Schroeder is a talented narrator and voice artist. She brings the characters to life, give each their own voice and personality. as well as heart and attitude. She does an amazing job portraying the characters, humanizing them, capturing their emotions and projecting them into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen🎧
The second book in The Last Shifter Series picks up right where book one ended.
In the book we get to experience Alexis's wolf and her struggle to become one with her wolf. We get to see more of Carl and the Lost Pack from the first book and things happen regarding Sariah. Of course we also get to see a lot more of her four guys.
I really like Molly and Carl and i hope it ain't the last we have seen of them.
I did wish that we had learned a bit more about the guys. We learned a bit more about West (unexpectedly - you´ll know when you read it), but i still feel like i know nothing about the guys other than the basics (like Rhys being the less serious one etc.).
I also felt like Alexis has fallen in love with them way too soon (her words not mine). I know that the book takes place over maybe 2 months time and we don't get told every day, but considering i barely feel like I know the guys from reading the books, I just feel like this is way too soon.
A lot of the book is about Alexis recovering from things happening in the beginning of the book, so i did miss a bit more action. Not that there aren't any, i just wanted more excitement. Again (as with the first book) I was really missing some more information about what makes Alexis wolf so much more speciel than any other ever created. I really did hope that would be revealed in this one but it wasn't.
The story is still good, I just felt like the first one was a bit better. That said I still look forward to the next book and i hope that I will get my questions answered
Firstly I love Carl and Molly. They are amazing. Especially Molly with her forgiving heart, love of wanting to help, and just pure curiosity. Without them nothing Alexis and her pack accomplished would have come to fruition.
So finally Lexi’s wolf shows up and shows out. I mean larger than others she could truly be a force to reckon with. A leader in her own right. I can see that she will be working to bring down strand in the future. As she should.
I’m am excited that they finally found Sairiah. Rescue her and the other shifters being held captive in the Salt Lake City Complex. I am also happy that they pretty much wrecked the complex.
So clearly I like the story enough to keep reading but for me it’s one I could take or leave. Which I’m bummed about since I truly enjoyed the first book as well as this one. It just didn’t catch me and hold me as strongly as some other books by Sadie Moss have. But because I know I do like her writing I am going to keep going. Happy reading.
Wolf Called Hunted by Sadie Moss is a slow-burn paranormal reverse harem romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Laurel Schroeder. This is the second book in The Last Shifter series.
This book does come with a warning: This book contains strong language, violence, sexual situations, and a heroine who doesn't have to choose between her men.
This is the second series of Sadie’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I am really enjoying the relationship that’s building between Alexis, Noah, Rhys, Jackson, and West throughout the series. I love the suspense in the book as they look for Rhys sister. The book does end on a cliffhanger but that wasn’t much of a surprise since it’s a four book series.
I can’t for the next book in the series Wolf Claimed to be released on audio.
Laurel did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romances, slow-burn romances, or reverse harems.
Wolf Called is the second book in this series, and you must read book one, Wolf Hunted, first. This book picks up almost immediately from where the first ended, which I’m happy about. The book is a fast-paced, quick read that I flew through. This is a shifter reverse harem series, and as such you expect the topic of “mates” to arise. It does in this book and I was surprised by the quickness/mechanism of the bond itself, but pleased that there is a backstory for one of the heroes that adds some interesting depth. I never really felt the emotional connection between Alexis and her harem; it came too fast for my tastes, and that hasn’t changed, but I do enjoy their protectiveness and that the physical aspect of their relationships is evolving at a slower rate. As ever, I remain very enthused over the quality of this author’s writing and love her voice/style. The ending isn’t really a cliffhanger to my mind, but does set up what challenges they are going to be facing in book three. 3.5 ⭐️
5 stars for Wolf Called by Sadie Moss. This is book 2 in The Last Shifter Series. This book picks up right were book 1 lets off. Alexis, Rhys, Noah, West, and Jackson are continuing to build their relationship. In this book we meet Molly and Carl who become unlikely allies for them. Alexis is a badass wolf, that is extremely powerful. The mate bond is talked about in this book and we learn more about the guys past and how they came to be. We also learn more about the Strand Corporation. “But you know what? Love doesn’t care. It doesn’t care about who or how many. It just is. And when you love someone with your whole heart, and they love you back the same way… that makes you perfect for each other, no matter what anyone else thinks. Because you’d do anything for each other, and that makes you both better.” I am loving this series , I can not get enough of it. I will warn you that this book also ends in a cliffhanger. But really who doesn’t love a good cliffhanger.
I found this installment of the series to be slightly underwhelming. The progression of the series plot is good, but I felt that the development of the relationship between Lexi and her guys suffered.
I’m truly not understanding how the mate bond works in this series. Lexi is devastated, as she rightly should be, that her guys will barely do more than touch her in the most casual sense. On the rare occasion that it goes beyond that, she gets slapped with rejection as they all pull back. They claim they can hardly think of anything for want of her, but their actions as presented proves that is false. I can understand the reticence of West, but the rest of them? Nope… and the only one that seemed to grudgingly not reject her, only did so because she was so distraught she begged. How f*cked up is that?
Hopefully the story redeems itself in the next book. If not, then I’ll most likely not be finishing the series.
“He pressed in inch by agonizing inch, until I felt him hit the barrier inside me.” You mean the one 1-2 centimeters inside? The barrier that holds just before he thrusts in the rest of the way? If you think that’s inches, them boys really gonna love you.
I also have nevvvver heard of the big O making someone impenetrable, so the guy decides it’s best to not give her one first. Literally playing fast and loose with the rules here.
And how are you studying blueprints of a building you don’t even have an address for? Even by finding the design through nefarious means, it’s a stretch, and also silly to assume the title block would omit the location when the fmc even theorizes that the architect had no knowledge of their creation’s true purpose nor incentive to be secretive.
Are they bioengineered wolf shifter weapons? Yes. Is it silly? Yes. But without proper research in the real parts, the plot falls apart.
I think this is a fun and thrilling ride and there are great moments between the characters as they get to know each other and "fall in love." But I didn't feel like they were beyond the "like" stage of relationship development. Probably because a lot of the time they spent together in this book (i.e. when Alexis is healing) is totally glossed over. I felt like that would have been prime relationship development time but there was a big fast-forward and time leap...I get it, the plot must go on, but I think there was a missed opportunity there to give each of the characters some moments together to develop their respective relationships. When the "L" word did get tossed out, it felt very premature. While the story/conflict/plot is interesting, not sure I'm invested enough in the characters or relationships.
Heart stopping excitement thru out the book. Starts at the beginning when Alexis wakes up from where she had been darted by Nils in the first book. The woman that had been pretending that she was her mother, was in the vehicle too. When Alexis' memory clears, she becomes so angry that she finally calls her wolf out. Her wolf kills three people and the driver was shot when they tried to stop her. Alexis survives the wreck but the vehicle explodes and Alexis saw a roster with Rhys' sister's name on it. The four men had found out where she was being taken and found her. They go back to Carl's to get medical help for Alexis. Several things happen that make Carl and his girlfriend, Molly, to help them find Rhys' sister. The book does have some violent passages and is very descriptor thru out.
