The stories in this collection of 3 books from the early 2000s are not as sophisticated as the later chapters (and I've never liked the horror movie style "Kitten" chapter), yet I was amazed at how early some elements that later drove huge storylines were introduced, Oasis, Kusari, Hereticorp, Mohkaduhn etc were all introduced here and came to fruition a decade and a half or almost 2 decades later.

This collection of Sluggy Freelance comics features some of the best stories, all in one great volume!

- the return of the "Sampire" (Sam's da man!)
- The Stormbreaker Sage
- the introduction of Oasis
- crossover with UserFriendly.org
- The Quatrix
- the "death" of Kiki (I can still remember the outrage of Kiki fans)
- Squeekybobo Ball!
- Kitten
- Santa Species Thingy
- Zoe gets the curse that turns her into a camel
- The Bug, The Witch, And The Robot

and, perhaps nifty-est of all...

- Torg Dream Fighters!

This volume is essential for any Sluggite. It's got so much great content, and so much stuff in the ongoing comic references back to stuff in this volume (such as Zoe's curse).

Little Evils (I keep wanting to type "Little Elvis", because that what the title looks like) is "Megatome 02" of the Sluggy Freelance collections. It contains the contents of what were previously volumes 4, 5 and 6 of the collected Sluggy Freelance , which, of course, is the most nifty of all the web comics that are out there. Anyway, Little Evils doesn't contain any Elvis, just the spirit of Ayn Rand, possessing a talking ferret. There are also vengeful demons, invading aliens, a Caribbean vacation, demonic kittens, a lovestruck assassin, black-ops elves and puns. But don't let that scare you away. Little Evils makes for big laughs.

I'd never heard of this comic before, but it was about 60 percent off when I found it, and comic books are so rare to have here, that I bought it, and man, it ruled. There were of course a few of the cheesy jokes that I've encountered in every comic book I've ever read, dorky forays into post-modernism, but overall the story lines were great, all the characters are fun, the pop culture references are apt and funny, and I really want to find the rest of these books.
