Growing up and growing apart is never easy to do. This coming of age young adult HR romance gives just as much on the struggle of life and how much we depend on those we love. Roxie, the main character, is strong and giving and doesn't ask much for herself. It is her friends who want to help her, and she needs it. The romance of hers and Carter's take on the life of young love and new experiences. Overcoming uncertainty with oneself and finding comfort in each other's arms.
The story itself intrigues and makes me wonder how the next book will go — something a series should always do. I will be reading more from this new author and hope she continues to grow in her writing.

Cliffhanger alert....

The book starts off with Roxy sleeping with her four best friends. From them, she finds love & acceptance, which is something she doesn’t have at home.

Then Carter spends the summer with Roxy, with the understanding that they will each have a few months with her before she chooses one of them. This book is about Carter’s time with her.

This means their story isn’t over... I don’t like this, as it wasn’t clear from the start that this would be a story spread over several books.

I actually enjoyed this read for a short and sweet YA
It was a different take on the coming of age, growing up and not wanting to grow apart.

Roxie and her 4 best boy friends have grown together and been there when they needed each other the most - so how does Roxie return the favour? By sleeping with all 4 of course! But what happens now? 3 boys have gone off to their next stages, Rosie is in town until she goes to school - that just leaves Carter💜

I can’t wait to read the next book!!

I actually enjoyed this book. I was expecting a lot more drama because of the age of the characters, but I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of it. This is a short, sweet read for those who like YA and I'm looking forward to reading the other boys' books.
Note for the grammar nerds: there are a few mistakes, but not enough to distract from the story.

This just wasn't for me. I hadn't read the summary, I just saw "why choose" and grabbed it. Something about recently graduated high graduated high schoolers entering into a complex poly relationship does not sit well with me. The dialogue didn't feel realistic, and the ending was incredibly abrupt.

Easy going

This is an easy going book, doesn't have all the characters trying to find a reason not to love each other.

Sweet intro to a good series

Good start to a really sweet series that starts out as kids exploring the big world in front of them and leads to a great love story!
