Trace Young and Shadow are on a mission in Chile when they find themselves compromised. They don't know how it happened, but Pedro Torino's henchmen are on their heals. While trying to shake them, Trace finds himself moving from one stinky alley to another, trying to stay five steps ahead of them until his team can come to his rescue.

While trying to hide in the shadows, he hears something that has him stopping in his tracks and searching for the sound. His blood runs cold when he comes across a woman who has clearly been beaten. He can't leave her their to fend off the Torino henchman. But in order for him to stop her from giving away their location, he'll either have to knock her out or scare her to death. Not knowing the extent of her injuries, he goes for scaring her. Hopefully he won't have to do too much convincing to keep her quiet.

Bridget Monihan never imagined the hunt for her sister, Ruth, would leave her stranded and beaten in Chile. She doesn't know how she's going to get out of the sketchy area and back home but she knows she has to do something if she wants to stay alive. When a hand clamps around her mouth and she's pulled against a muscular chest, she thinks it's over. But Trace is quick to let her know that she's safe and as long as she does everything he tells her to, he'll make sure she gets home safe and sound.

It comes as a surprise to Bridget and Trace that there's an instant connection between them. Neither of them can explain it and they aren't willing to admit it right away. But when sparks start flying, it gets harder to hide their growing feelings.

But the moment Trace and Shadow hear that Bridget is in Chile to find her sister, who was taken by Hugo Torino, she becomes their next mission. They will do whatever it takes to bring her home safe.

It goes against every fiber of Trace's being to let Bridget into the viper's den. He wants to keep her as far away from Torino as possible. But the only way to get her sister to go with them, is to have Bridget right their by their sides. Now that he's found the woman of his dreams, he'll do everything in his power to keep her safe and ensure they get the HEA they both deserve.

*dreamy sigh*

What can I say about Shadow Undercover?! I loved it! Once I started it, I could NOT put it down! I have been dying to read Trace's book and knew it would take someone pretty special to steal his heart. And I couldn't be happier that it was Bridget! She was a pleasant surprise! From the very beginning she was spunky and positive and just what Trace needed in his life. These two quickly became favorites of mine! This book was face-paced and had me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't read fast enough! I just had to know what happened!

It's no secret that I love both the Fortress Security and Otter Creek series. Shadow Undercover was a fantastic addition to the series! I loved seeing old friends from previous books and I'm definitely looking forward to Ben's book! I have a feeling I know who his love interest is going to be... and I hope I'm right! It would be amazing to see him with her... ;)

Ms. Deel has done it again! Whenever she releases a book, I can't help be devour it! She can't write fast enough for me! I'm looking forward to reading more books by her!

And let's just sit back for a minute or two to admire these two! They are perfect in my opinion... what do you think?

4.5 Stars!!

It was such a treat to find out this newest book was released by Rebecca Deel! I absolutely LOVE both her Fortress Security series as well as her Otter Creek series. These books can be read as a stand alone, but there are spoilers and they mean so much more when you have read the others. Each time I read a new one it feels like visiting friends, and I love to see characters from previous books.

I really loved reading Trace’s story. The last book had me more curious about him, and wow did his and Bridget’s romance have an incredibly fast-paced, action-packed, and dangerous edge to it!

I loved how self-assured, strong, and witty Bridget was. She wouldn’t give up searching for her sister Ruth, even though the danger and obstacles were intense. Trace made a fantastic swoon-worthy hero, and I loved that although he was this huge scary sniper, he was fiercely protective of Bridget and constantly sacrificed to help save others.

I am already dying for the next book in the series, and secretly hope it’s about Ben and a certain character from this one... we will just have to wait and see!!!

What a Wild Ride!

Wow, that was a wild ride! Full on, non stop danger and action from beginning to end. Crazy! I've been in the mood for this exact kind of book- romantic suspense. I've read two in a row from this series and I'm ready for more.

So good!

Trace finally gets his story! Bridget is perfect! A Librarian! Hah! She is so much more than that. The meeting is perfect and the mission is awesome and perhaps Ruth will date Ben in a future book? So many possibilities. Every book stands alone but the series is fantastic.

DNF. Ludicrous plot.

Wow that was seriously bad. While the series hasn’t been been brilliant, at times it’s been quite good. This one went from bad to worse.

Trace while on a mission, finds Bridget who has been badly beaten. Bridget takes stupid to another level. She flies to Chile to confront her sisters boyfriends dad, as her sister is missing. Soooo many things wrong with this straight away. She’s never met her sisters boyfriend, so how does she know what his surname is, and where his dad lives? His dad who is an evil man has armed guards, does that not put her off going to the gate???

Trace looks after Bridget for two whole days, while she’s recovering from her attack. While Bridget is laid up, Brent who owns Fortress decides that as a librarian she’ll be brilliant at researching and should work for him. WHAT??? She’s a librarian not a computer specialist!!! It just got worse after that.

************SPOILER ALERT***********************^
*******************************************************

A man who broke into Bridget’s house, as he’s stalking her sister is offered a security job. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Bridget who was so severely injured, that she can’t stand up, is training two days later, to go on a mission with Trace!! On a mission??? She’s a LIBRARIAN!!! It just wouldn’t happen.

DNF Couldn't even finish

## Did we even read the same book? I got to 75% and couldn't take it anymore. It started off OK, but quickly declined. First of all, the heroine was very unlikeable. She was presumptuous and demanding. She insists that the hero take her along on his undercover mission, even though she has no training (she's a librarian for Pete's sake) and she already has several cracked ribs from when the hero had to save her in Chile. Once undercover, she wonders if maybe she'll be a liability. Well DUH, that's why he didn't want you to go. Then this Fortress Security boss offers her a job out of nowhere. It made no sense. She just had to be saved in an alley in Chile where she was severely beaten, yet you offer her a job? The whole thing was unbelievable. They even offer her sister's stalker a bodyguard position. And finally, the way the hero was constantly kissing her in front of his colleagues after knowing her mere hours was crazy. And what man talks like that.? Especially in front of his SEAL buddies. Ugh, no thanks. Not worth the money and more importantly the time.

Shadow Undercover

I have loved this series and Otter Creek series from the start. There is danger, love, military men and women. This was Trace’s story on the Shadow Team. While on assignment, he stumbles upon a lady that has been beaten. She had been looking for her missing sister in another country and the kidnappers thugs jumped her. He ends up bringing her back with him and finds out the man holding her sister is now the next target on his list. You cannot go wrong reading this series. Each on can be read without reading the others, but you will want to know the other characters as well.

I have loved this entire series, and this installment is no exception! I really liked Trace and Bridget. I always have something of a soft spot for the snipers on the teams. Bridget is a strong and determined heroine, and Trace is so sweet with her. As always, I liked the action and suspense. The plot moved quickly and kept me on the edge of my seat. The ending was perfect! Can't wait for more in this series!

France's story

Trace meets Bridget, a Liberian, and trouble follows them. Great story, great characters, both new and old. It was nice to have some of the previous characters included. Will be interesting to see how Bridget is worked into future stories. A 5 star book with lots of action. Can't wait for the next one. Will it be Ben's turn?

Another outstanding addition to the Fortress Security series by Rebecca Deel, one of my favorite authors. The sniper gets his girl

Trace Shadow team's sniper meets Ruth while taking down a human trafficking ring. Ruth is searching for her sister who coincidentally is in the clutches of Shadow team's next target. Face paced with humor, a realistic heroine and drop dead gorgeous alpha male, what's not to enjoy about this book. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

Sorry but...

I love the books and the plots are normally
believable but.....There is no way anyone on the team or in that company would have sent in Bridget to cover Trace's back. Nope, never. Not happening.

Shadow undercover

This book was fast paced and entertaining. It was well written and kept my attention, though reality had to be suspended to a degree, but then again it is fiction.
