HARD HITTING. FAST PACED.
QUICK, EXPLOSIVE THRILL RIDES.
BLACK FORCE SHORTS BY MATT ROGERS.

Nursing the mother of all hangovers, Will Slater skydives into the Taklamakan Desert in western China under cover of darkness.

He’s searching for three American college dropouts, believed to have been kidnapped by the East Turkestan Islamic Movement. And then, all at once, he finds himself in a no-holds-barred war with both the jihadists and China’s secret police. Because the hostages are lined up for the most painful demise imaginable, and Slater sure as hell isn’t going to let that happen.

By the time he makes it out of the desert, he realises he should have listened to the oldest advice in the book.

Don’t trust anyone.
Not a goddamn soul.

Halo Jump To Rescue 3 College Dropouts In China...

Another fast-paced,high action thriller in the desert of China, where three college kids went missing while in old ruins far from civilization. Will Slater is dragged out of bed while nursing a hangover from a wild night off! This mission is Not where he wants to be, but as a Black Force Operator he is the kids best chance...
Great scenes from China with amazing sights and an interesting cast of characters, giving Slater a heck of a time just to get to where the young folks are being held! All the joy of a full length novel in a novella you will not put down!!

Finally a good Black Force shorts. Last few books have been very bland and boring reads. Will Slater has an X-factor and his presence always makes things interesting. However, the previous Black Force shorts he was in didn't justify his character much. This one was pure fun. Slater is in Xinjiang, Northwest China to rescue three kids who are held hostage by an Uyghur extremist group. During the course of the mission, he realises he can trust no one. Neither the kidnappers not the hostages. The action was non stop, gritty and bloody. The narration was fast. The end was a bit of a drag though. But it was pure fun. I would like to read more Black Force shorts but I think the author isn't working on any more books in this series.

A MR Black Force Thriller (TR) (BFSB - 10)

MR. has penned the tenth novel of the Black Force Military Special Operations Group controlled by civilian managment. WE parachuted into China to rescue three American students to avoid an international incident. It does not take long before WE knows he can trust no one. However, that does not stop him from his primary mission. Save the American students. WE had been in China before but now there have been to many changes. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

How Matt Rogers can take a Black Ops short and make it into such a winner is beyond me. He had me hooked from the first page and managed to make me finish this book in one sitting. I very much liked the fact that Slater has to make some moral and ethical decisions that show Black Ops aren't just killing machines although they do that very well. If you haven't read this series, you're in for a treat.

The Ruins

For those readers who love a great covert black ops book then this one is for you. Not to give anything away the story unfolds with a unexpected twist ! I was not ready for this story/mission ended- you know the feeling you are really into it then turn page expecting more but oh no it was the end!

A Quick Read But Totally Satisfying

These Black Force Shorts are always welcome and are well written by Matt Rogers. This one takes place in the desert area of China where Will Slater is sent to to rescue three American college students. I wholeheartedly recommend this book.

Another one completed

I enjoy all Matt Rogers books in these series. This one I completed during two one hour walking sessions on the treadmill. Held my attention, fast paced, suspenseful enough to keep reading.

Lost teens experience terror

It seemed impossible that one lone Black Force agent could rescue three teens who wandered into the hands of a dangerous outlaw force in the Chinese badlands. How he did it made some exciting reading.

Warriors

I have read all Matt Rogers books from Jason King, Will Slater, the two together and all Black Ops shorts. They are all action packed and Warriors one and all. Can' t wait for the next in the series or any new characters on the scene.
