This is perhaps the first non-thriller I just couldn't put down. Incredible writing! The exploration of personal nuances and exploitation of emotional quirks is just fantastic. The way one circumstance changes per person's perspective is written so well that it keeps the reader in a dilemma as to who's right and who's wrong, eventually redefining the meanings of right and wrong.
With only one book, Sri devi garu has established herself as a prominent author of modern Telugu novels. It would have been great if she had been able to live a full life, write more beautiful novels. No one is flawless in this world. Indira has her share of grey shades, just like everyone else. Situations Leads individuals to act differently, which is depicted beautiful by the author.Despite the negative shades, Indira remains the protagonist of this novel for most of part. ❤️
Indira came out of this book and spit on my face, and that cleansed my soul. We as a society are not yet ready to accept women like Indira, but the fact that Dr P. Sreedevi Garu wrote this character in the 1950s is unbelievable. Dr Sreedevi garu died at a very young age of 32 and she wrote only this novel in her life, I think she was destined to write this novel.
