This is a beautiful and moving play about the Rosenberg witch hunt/2nd red scare using almost entirely on-the-record court testimony. Freed presents the materials for maximum dramatic tension and the second act moves like a freight train toward the inevitable tragedy. A very strong piece from one of the more interesting dissident writers of the late 20th century.
