Delivered, Book 2 of The Devil’s Duet, is not a standalone. It should be read after reading Depraved.

Gabrielle Duval belongs to me.
I've made sure of that.

Now it's time to eliminate the man who kept us apart.
My father.
The devil himself.

His reign of terror ends here.
On my terms.

Those who are triggered by dark storylines, please proceed cautiously!

I ❤️ JD

I fell totally in love with this story and JD in the first book so I've been craving for more and been counting down until Delivered. Eva absolutely does not disappoint and it's worth every second of waiting. She smashes it with this five star conclusion to what's been one of my top reads this year.

JD, if it's even possible I fell harder for him 😉. Still ruthless and intense and sexy and hot as ever! But underneath that fierce and brooding demeanour there's a gentle caring man with a heart who loves deeply and will do anything to protect those he needs to.
Gabrielle ever the fighter, I love her fiery take no shit attitude and I love how she challenges JD! These two bring the roof down when it comes to the chemistry and heat between them, it's steamy and exciting, passionate and explosive and yep once again its panty melting.

This time though the story gets a little darker a little deeper and has you even more on edge, completely hooked again from the first page, more twists more gut wrenching secrets that slowly unravel that has your heart pounding.
I think it's safe to say With this conclusion, Eva takes you on a journey that's like a thrilling and spine tingling roller coaster that has your stomach in knots!

A memorable and addictive duet that's an absolute must read that left me with a book hangover and now I, craving Eva's next story because there's just too many characters in this new world that needs exploring and I'm not ready to let fully go!

Delivered took me on a journey to the dark side in a whole new way. It was an amazing read that I am still processing. The darkness came from places I didn’t expect. It made my breath hitch, my stomach heave, and my heart bleed. JD and Gabrielle’s story is wrapped in turmoil and pain. Watching them work through all the dark to get to the light was inspiring. From the very beginning of The Devil’s Duet, I felt hope for JD. I felt as though he was hiding many secrets, the biggest of all, his love for Gabrielle. Never has a title of a book fit the story so well. Delivered is the ultimate word to describe so many facets of this book. Everyone gets delivered in some way, shape, or form.

The Devil’s Duet kept me glued to the pages. The characters captured my heart while they made me laugh, smile, cry, and swoon. JD’s controlling and possessive tendencies are what made him so adorable. Even though these qualities drove Gabrielle insane, it is also what makes her love him to his inner soul. Even though Gabrielle has loved JD for as long as she can remember, she still fights to stand on her own two feet and be the strong female the JD doesn’t even know he needs. This push and pull relationship is magnetic and left me wanting a JD of my very own.

I also want to mention the numerous supporting characters that we meet along the journey. They all had an important part to play in this story and some leave you wanting more. JD’s best friend, Smith, is one of those characters. He takes no crap from JD and has no issues with putting him in his place. They have a mutual respect that goes back for years and I’m sure he has a story of his own to tell in a future book.

This duet was nothing like I expected; it was so much more. It is not your typical dark and dominant alpha male claiming what he believes he can. There is a whole other side to the darkness here. Darkness that lurks behind closed doors, darkness that lurks in the recesses of the mind, and darkness that hides in the shadows waiting to pounce on the unsuspecting and helpless. The only way to fully enjoy everything that is The Devil’s Duet, is to pick up the books and read them yourself. I have now found a new author to love and enjoy.

Let's get this out of the way, Delivered is Book 2 in The Devil's Duet, so guess what?! YOU MUST READ Depraved (Book 1) FIRST! Now, the diabolically brilliant Eva Charles has picked right back up where she left off in Depraved, and I'm not going to say what it is because I feel deep down it would be a spoiler somehow. In fact, I'm not going to give any description at all. I will say this, it was a much more extreme emotional roller coaster ride this time around. So much so, I was exhausted when I finished the last page like I had run a marathon. The twists were even bigger, if possible, so my f-bombs were louder, with a side of colorful metaphors beforehand to give warning of what's coming. Sexy times were not only hotter, but they seemed more intense, so yeah, anywhere they took place, things were lit up with the flames for real. One thing I really loved was the cast of secondaries, as they really added depth this time around, because they ended up being the voice of reason so many times. And YAY! Up next is Smith's book which I'm so excited about! Anyway, I'm done talking so cryptically, and will end with HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDING TO ALL!

This duet.... gave me chills from the beginning and didn’t stop until I finished both books!! I waited patiently for book 2 and you will not be disappointed!! I fell hard for this author because she just KNOWS want my soul wants to read! As disturbing as some of this was to read, I wouldn’t have it any other way!! Eva.... you blew my mind and I can’t express how much I’m excited to see what comes next!!

JD is not like any man I have read or if I have, he takes the top book boyfriend material. I couldn’t help but fall in love with this man who only wanted to protect the only things he had left in life. He will soak your panties, piss you off more than you have been, scare the shit out of you and make you fall in love over and over again!! You need Julian in your life!!

So many twists and turns throw you around during this second part of the duet BUT it’s EVERYTHING!! I cried.... a lot.... I swooned, I wanted to throw up everywhere but mostly I had hope that JD could be something more. My other favorite character is Smith and I can’t wait to see him in the future!! 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Congrats Eva!!! I’m a big fan now and I’m so excited for everyone to get swept up in part two of this duet!! You kicked fucking ass in this book!!! 😍💜😍💜

Absolutely Flipping Fantastic!

Delivered is the second and final book in the Devil’s Duet written by author Eva Charles. This duet has a continuing storyline. Therefore, it is necessary to read Depraved, the first book in the duet before beginning this novel. I absolutely fell in love with JD in the first book, and I just couldn’t wait to read the conclusion. My expectations were really high going in, and Ms. Charles did not disappoint!

The storyline is undeniably captivating. Not only is the storyline fabulous, but the characters are so well developed. I went through so many emotions while reading this book. I often felt like I was on a roller coaster, and I must admit that I felt a bit drunk when I finished. This is undoubtedly one of my favorites of 2019!

Grab a drink, a spare pair of panties, then buckle up, and enjoy this fabulous ride!

Oh holy hell!!! Eva Charles was devious with this book and I loved each and every word and page. Now if you are looking for a sweet easy read keep on moving because this isn't that. Now if you are like me and you like your romances dark and gritty and your male leads to not be the hero that you normally associate with romances then one click this book today!!!

This book was heart wrenching, the characters were cruel, no good and devious. You constantly think you know how this book is all going to play out but you'd be wrong because the twists and turns in this book will leave you constantly guessing.

J.D. isn't an easy man to fall for. He has made decisions in life to protect Gabby and although they may seem excessive with a father like his you have to go to the extreme. He will do whatever he must to keep Gabby safe and have no remorse about it.

Gabby has been through a lot and she is about to go through even more. Secrets and truths are revealed and she is about to be tested on how strong she really is. Danger is lurking around the corner and she needs to trust those around her.

This duet is addicting and it will suck you in until the last page. I couldn't get enough. Eva Charles has become an author I will be watching out for from now on after this duet.

DNF at 45%

I am SUPER bummed about this because I was enjoying this book A LOT. But at soon as I hit 45% and found out he not only That pretty much ruined the entire story for me, so I am calling it a day.

description

However, this is no reflection on the author's writing ability, because I really liked book one of this duet and I was gearing up to really like this one. I just wish the author hadn't used such a heavy hand with the It didn't feel necessary to the plot. The one time incident had set the stage perfectly well. Unfortuntely, there was just no way "I" can get past that level of and rather than give it a low rating I am going to throw in the towel. C'est la vie...

3* STARS!

As the continuation of Depraved (book #1), the book must read in order. After what's left in the previous book, Gabrielle Duval's hotel is on huge fire. JD Wilder is terrified and didn't give up on search of Gabrielle. Luckily, they found her. But Gabrielle's best-friend died on the fire.

Do I still like Gabrielle? No. As much as a generic heroine, Gabrielle is not appealing to me. She's still the same person. But she became weaker after her friend's death. Gabrielle annoyed me nonstop with her self-pity and trauma. Personally, I don't mind grieving but it took almost 30% of the story. I really hated it.

description

Do I still enjoy JD Wilder? At first, hell yeah but later it is a meh. We all know how hateful is JD with his condition. His father is beyond evil & too powerful even for now. JD marks himself as an evil seed. He justified his cheating with some women (in the past while they were together) in order to protect her. Of course, it hurts Gabrielle and that's why she pushed him away for some time.

However, I just couldn't believe there's an unplanned pregnancy plot. What a mainstream plot. I could sense where's the author will take the wheel of this story. Nothing much happened even after JD and Gabrielle uncovered the evil father's crime. They're still useless. What's the point then Instead, JD planned to sacrifice himself. Gabrielle managed to play nice as a doting lover until the end. Well, I didn't care with their sex at this point. Dunno why.

description

I couldn't stop thinking... what is the meaning of DELIVERED based on the book title? Revenge? Second-chance? Aside my issues with both MCs, there's a loop (like the previous book) with the evil father's plot. I didn't get any satisfaction and no justice served. I thought the original problem is in Wilder's family. But it seems MCs relationship is more important. Hmm. Anyway, it is still a good story though despite my confusion. Couldn't deny the author's talent.

Omgggg what a book!! We finally found out the real reason JD cheated and pushed Gabrielle away... and although it was predictable and I felt he could have done it in a different way..I understand why he did it and I do like his character better now knowing all the facts. Lemme just say, Damien Wilder is a real sonofabitch😤..

Delivered picks up right where Depraved left off... Gabrielle’s building is on fire and JD is trying to get to her and he feels his father did this to punish him. Gabrielle is the love of his life and in Delivered, the readers see that. We see the lengths JD will go through to protect her from his sinister dad. We see how JD and Gabrielle grow stronger together and how their bond solidifies after 15 years apart. Tragedy strikes Gabrielle and she loses someone very important to her. She doesn’t know how to deal with the grief but JD is right there with her. He helps her get emotionally better and he is her pillar of strength.

I really enjoyed this book, more than depraved but what I really disliked . The writing was amazing though, Eva Charles has this way of making you invested in a book. Damien Wilder finally gets what he deserves.. and JD and Gabrielle.. well you have to read to see what happens between them.

I absolutely loved the first book in this duet, Depraved.  While I still thoroughly enjoyed Delivered, I felt that there were a few things that hurt this book a bit for me.

JD is truly a character you are either going to love or hate.  He's very conflicting character, but that's due to the situation he's in, a situation he somewhat put himself in but also a situation he couldn't avoid either.

Gabrielle still has her backbone in place, but there are times I think it gets a little weak when it comes to JD.  There is no denying the chemistry between these two.  And I think that's what weakens Gabrielle when it comes to JD and his faults.

This book is filled with a lot of suspense and moves at a great pace.  While I felt there were more sex scenes than needed for this book, the suspense helped drive this book.  The characters were amazing, even you hate them and their actions.  There are some things that readers will not care (I find myself rolling my eyes at things) but for me, it didn't take away from the overall aspect of the book.

Overall, the book flows very well and entertained.  While I felt the ending was rushed compared to how everything else played out, I know many readers will enjoy.  Definitely a duet I would recommend and I will be looking into more books by this author as these are the first two books I have read by her.

Delivered is the second part to the Devil's Duet.
If you haven't yet read Depraved, I highly recommend you read that before diving into this. Delivered continues right where Depraved left off.

Gabrielle has lost everything in a fire. Her best friend, her hotel, and most importantly herself. Now Gabrielle must come to terms with everything around her and fight to get back to the woman she used to be. But with nightmares haunting her, and those that love and care for her suffocating her, it's a hard task to tend to.

JD is on a mission to bring down the man he suspects had everything to do with the fire that caused Gabrielle to lose everything, His father. But trying to bring down a man of his fathers stature isn't going to be an easy battle.

My Thoughts:

Going into Delivered, I was so excited and I was looking for answers, given the cliffhanger Depraved left off with, I think everyone was looking for answers. To be honest, I really liked Depraved and Delivered was a march anticipated release for me. But sadly, this one didn't spark my attention as the first part of JD and Gabrielle's story did.

I felt a disconnect from Gabrielle's character and in situations like this I want to feel what the character is feeling. I want the raw emotion. I want the trauma. In some instances I felt the raw emotion but more times I felt a disconnect.

I did, however, devour the Julian scenes! I loved the suspense aspect and JD getting shit done to protect the woman he loves. and this is where, I think my main issue with Delivered lies. The fact that I felt more sympathy towards JD than I felt for Gabrielle really bothers me. Given the situation Gabby was going through, the roles should have been switched in my mind. I found myself skipping a few Gabby chapters just so I could get to the JD chapters.

Overall, this one didn't do it for me. I went in expecting to love the hell out of it, but not every novel can be an absolute favorite. I will however continue to be on the lookout for more novels by Eva Charles simply because I loved Depraved so much.

THE REVIEW FOR THE BOOK DELIVERED BY EVA CHARLES.

GENRE:CONTEMPORARY DARK ROMANCE.
AUTHOR:EVA CHARLES.
TYPE: BOOK #2...
POV: DUAL POV...
MY RATING: 5 STARS...

This is the second installation in the Devil's Duet Series and a FINALE for J.D. aka Julian and Gabriella's story.
"DELIVERED" picked off right where "DEPRAVED" left us hanging...
J.D. despises his father for what he did...Apart from separating and putting a wall between Gab and him, He was responsible for a lot of tragedies.

J.D. has been cornered in this book...and you know what happens when an animal is cornered, He fights back!!! And this time all the culprits will be delivered punishment for their sin!!!

This was a really gripping read which just pulls you in from the start...I love these books so much.
I love the character of Gabriella, she was so strong and stubborn, like no matter what he does, she still couldn't get herself to forgive him for all the hurt she had gone through for 15 years.

The suspense in the book...Don't even get me started on that...I could guess what'd going to happen next, but the plot changes every time I do so.
Definitely, this book comes under the edge of the seat reading books.

I am sad this is the conclusion to this duet.

This is part 2 of the Devils Duet this one starts where the first book left us.
This one is such a roller coaster of a ride, so many twists and turns I didn't see coming I loved this story.
I loved Gabrielle and the way she is with JD, I not going into details as I don't want to spoil. but this duet has been great.
Great characters and ones you will hate, it is very well written.

I have found myself a new author and I can't wait to read more from her.

The final part to the Devil’s Duet picks up right where Depraved left us hanging and I couldn’t wait to get the answers to all of the secrets and lies surrounding JD and Gabrielle’s relationship.

JD is ruthless and I have to say I didn’t really take to him as a character, he just wasn’t very likeable.

That being said the suspense in this book is off the charts and Eva Charles did a great job at making me swear at my kindle.

Lots of angst, suspense and emotions in this book. A great conclusion to the series.

Ahhhhh....this book! All of my questions were answered and while some of them made my heart happy others left it heavy and hurting! JD is just as bossy as ever but is determined to protect those he loves. However, this makes Gabrielle more determined to do everything on her on until she learns the truth behind all the secrets from her teen years. Once she learned of the true evil they were fighting it was easier to become the team her and JD were always suppose to be. While tragedy happens all through Delivered true love will always come out on top. This was my first duet by Eva Charles and I have loved every bit. Can't wait to read more by her.❤

I wanted to love the conclusion to this duet so much because I was left sitting on pins and needles by the end of the first book, which I highly enjoyed… but Delivered didn’t quite meet my expectations.

For about the first 50-60% of the book, it was extremely slow dealing with the aftermath of the fire that torched Gabrielle’s hotel. Then it starts to pick up pace and secrets begin to unravel to thicken the plot, but the resolution wrapped it all up a little too neatly and quickly and left the ending a little unfulfilling. I wanted there to be a big standoff between JD and his father, with JD confronting him about all he’d done wrong and him being punished for his heinous crimes, but in my opinion, he got off way too easy.

It was very anti-climatic and missed the mark.

What I did love about this duet was JD. I loved how loyal, protective and fierce his character was. Even when Gabrielle was being stubborn and tried to reject him for being overbearing, he never gave up on her because his main priority was to keep her safe. He was definitely a swoon-worthy alpha hero.

There’s no question that Eva Charles can lay down some words that pack a punch and I will definitely be reading more from her, even if Delivered didn’t quite deliver a satisfying conclusion to the mystery of the plot.

Get ready for the final part of The Devil’s Duet and finally learn all the secrets and lies that have kept JD and Gabrielle apart for all these years.

Delivered picks up right where Depraved left readers biting their nails and wondering just what in the heck was going to happen next!

This is a great second-chance romance duet, with some serious romantic suspense thrown in, does not disappoint. There’s so much back history to the story of JD and Gabrielle, so much that JD has kept from her. And it’s all revealed at last in Delivered.

I loved the romance and love between JD and Gabrielle. It was buried under some serious guilt and over protectiveness by JD that hid his true feelings. But once the truth was finally revealed—once Gabrielle truly understood the burden JD has bore for all these years—their love and their trust in the other is evident and awesome.

I’m leaving this review brief and detail free for a purpose. The Devil’s Duet is something you need to read to experience. And there’s more to come! I can’t wait for Smith’s story next! ~ Missy, 4 stars

Delivered by Eva Charles is book #2 in The Devils Duet. The story of JD Wilder and Gabrielle Duval continues on where book 1 left off and boy, it's a doozy. Things were looking grim when the fire took place and in the aftermath in book 2, we get to get into more twists, turns, secrets, drama and learn more about things that were kept secret. We get to see a whole new side to Gabby in this book and see how far JD would go to keep Gabby safe. The emotions, the chemistry, the feels, the passion, heartbreak and the love that sizzles in this story/duet is amazing. The emotional rollercoaster ride that takes place is one you will need to hold onto your kindle because kids , it's a doozy of a romance ride and oh yes, i loved every moment of it!!!

Just when you think the first book in this duet was tumultuous, along comes the second and blows Depraved out of the water. Delivered has a trigger warning for a reason. This author does not beat around the bush when it comes to hard topics. Pain and misery seep from the pages as if the very fibre of the book is bleeding with the characters.

We start back where Depraved finished and the stakes cannot be any higher for JD and Gabrielle. Destruction and loss are not just physical, they are physiological.
I cannot remember the last time I became so invested in characters at such an early stage of the book.

“It was all this. You trying to repair my soul.”

The way this author spun the tale, I found my own morality was called into question. Topics that I wouldn’t consider before were up for grabs because of something I read and how it affected the protagonists and me. For long moments, I questioned the devil’s work. One character was so purely evil I’m sure he bled black, not red. It was this particular person who had me wondering if murder was an option and could you escape prosecution from it. I know I wouldn’t look good in an orange jumpsuit, that’s for sure.

Gabrielle discovers so many revelations. Some so hard to bear they nearly knocked the breath out of me! Through it all, she has JD by her side. Even when she’s in so much pain, she can’t bear to have any human kindness. JD never backs off he’s beyond persistent and I love that about him.

‘Oh, JD. You are so complicated, and yet so predictable. Your concern for me, your love, often emerges in twisted misshapen forms, shrouded by darkness, but it is always light at the centre. It’s what has always drawn me to you. Like a moth to a flame.’

I have one more point to make. Smith. That man is a danger to any human with ovaries, and it looks like he’s getting a book real soon. Eeek!

Delivered is the second of The Devil's Duet and has a lot of what I wanted in the first book and answered many of the things that made me question the plot in the first book.   Delivered picks up right where Depraved left off with JD looking for Gabriella after the fire then goes into Gabriella's healing and JD's plans to take down his father.

This part of the duet expands on and explains a great deal of the events in JD and Gabriella's teen years.  Things that didn't make a whole lot of sense in the first book such the BDSM play they engaged in as 15 - 17-year-olds, JD's ability to get Gabriella to boarding school as well as JD's belief that his father was evil and murderous.  Unlike the way she was originally portrayed, Gabriella is much more fragile and vulnerable in this story.  Loss and bitter reality take the character from a determined, head-strong woman to one who is lost with the ground under her feet crumbling.   JD remains a stoic, one track man whose only mission is to protect those he loves (even when he denies it) in any way he can, no matter how over the top.

The plot's path is one of uncovering secrets as JD gets closer to his final move against his father.  The push and pull between Gabriella and JD continue but with a softer edge to their emotions and a hard edge to their interactions.  The ending is a little anti-climatic as JD makes a hail mary play but fate steps in instead.

Overall, the duet is good story with solid characters but should definitely be read as one continuous book.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

I am the devil's spawn. The son of evil incarnate. The heir to corruption and depravity. Gabrielle Duval once belonged to me. And weather she likes it or not she's destined to be mine again. What will it take to lure this luscious woman back into my bed? A deal with the devil himself, of course. My name is JD Wilder, and this is the story of how I reclaim what is mine.

Delivered is the second book in the Devil's Duet by Eva Charles. You must have read Depraved before reading this book or your going to be so lost. Delivered picks up right where Depraved left off. I fell so in love with Julian and Gabrielle in the first book. I could not wait to see what happens. I am quiet frankly sorry to see our time with these two end. This is where Julian has to play the game with a psychopath of a father. How is that even going to end well. Gabby's hotel has burnt to the grown and she has lost everything. JD is crazed with trying to get to her. He knows that his father has had to have something to do with this. He also has to deal with the FBI breathing down his neck because of his grandfather. This book is filled with mystery and you are going to spend a lot of time on the edge of your seat, turning the pages as fast as you can. I loved the time we got to spend in this duet and I am so looking forward to Smith's story!!

Gabrielle’s hotel goes up in flames and she loses everything. JD is frantically trying to get to her. He knows that his father is somehow involved in this fire. With everything that has happened JD has to take a hard long look at the situation and he has to protect Gabby, even if it means he has to hire more experienced security to do so! He also has to play the game with his father; a game with a psychopath never ends well. But with Gabby’s life on the line, and the FBI breathing down his back where his grandfather’s pharmaceutical company is concerned, JD finds himself pushed into a corner. Can he survive and save them all while trying to bring his father, the president to book? Can Smith help JD? Can Gabby forgive JD for his past sins? Can she ever trust him again? Overall this was a gripping read and the plot was full of twists. However, at times the book did slow down in pace and then speed up towards the end. There were one or two things that I know will upset readers, but I understood why JD had to try and convince his father, that he did not care for Gabrielle. He always loved her and wanted to protect her. I just wished he had told her what was happening to have stopped the hurt she felt for 15 years. Secondary characters were great in this story and I cannot wait to read more about them. Overall an enjoyable read.

Delivered (The Devil's Duet )
By: Eva Charles
4 Stars

Starting off right where we were left hanging with Depraved (The Devil’s Duet #1), the devastation around JD and Gabrielle is everywhere. Can these two actually survive and have a happily ever after?

The secrets are unfolding; the story is becoming more clear. There is one person that is responsible for the turmoil that is running amok in this small town is now the man in charge.

What will it take to unleash the side of JD that we all know is brewing. Like a teapot waiting to whistle. JD is going to seek revenge and he won’t stop until everyone is safe.

This is an emotional journey that we take for resolution. Good conclusion to this duet! Bring on the next stories from the side characters in this duet. Can't wait to hear their stories!!!

Delivered, book 2 in the Devil’s Duet, picks up right where Depraved left off. This entertaining book is full of suspense and twists and turns. Threats are made. Secrets are revealed. And the ending ties up all the loose ends. JD continues to have great animosity towards his father as he strives to uncover his misdeeds - past and present. Gabrielle is no fragile flower and pushes back when JD tries to be Mr. Overprotective and makes sure she is treated like and equal partner in their relationship. The two continue to have great chemistry with a fair number of intense, very descriptive sex scenes. The author does a great job depicting how one may handle something devastating, but the grief part dragged on. After that, the book moved at a good pace, until the very end which seemed a bit rushed. I really liked getting to know more about Smith (I love his character!) and I am hoping that he and JD’s brothers get their own books. Overall, I enjoyed this book as the characters were likable, there was the right amount of suspense, and the storyline was good. I received this book for free.

Arriving at Gabrielle's Hotel engulfed in flames Jullian is panic stricken, where is she is she okay.Screaming out her name and yelling at her security detail she is found. She's alive and okay for now. Jullian feels that he has failed her and he can't keep her safe from their past.

What will make him happy is to have her by his side and in his home the closer the better.

As far as Jullian is concerned Gabrielle is in no frame of mind to make decisions right now about her life or hotel and when she finds out that her best friend lost her life in the fire.

Jullian can't help but blame all of this on his father he knows that he would stoop to any level to cover his tracks or ruin anyone in his way.

Jullian wants to take him down and he starts to plan for the day he can fulfill it.He will make his father pay for every sin he has committed.

When Gabrielle can't take anymore lies she pulls her self together and tells Jullian she can't stay unless the honesty starts to flow. She will keep pushing him away until he comes clean, she loves him but she is stronger and needs to put him in his place. If he can't give her that she is gone.

Delivered...HAS DELIVERED!

With the bar set high from Depraved, I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was NOT disappointed. The action and suspense continues just as smoothly with Delivered I devoured it quickly. Of all the bumps and twists I didn’t see that ending coming! This rollercoaster will have you on the edge of your seat to tears to giggling at Smith’s snarky comments.

I love the strong and feisty Gabby so much, not to mention her love for JD! They have such an intense and steamy (like off the charts and better call the fire dept steamy) relationship.

All the characters come to life so vividly exposing a little bit of their layers at a time and are still unraveling. I am most definitely looking forward to seeing what’s in store for Smith, Gray and Chase!

And spoiler alert 2 epilogues! WTHeckkkk!

Well done Eva Charles! I look forward to so much more of this genre from you!

What a journey! Depraved (Book #1) had me hooked but Delivered managed to unhook me quite aptly. Unnerving and Quite Uninteresting, it has been. Delivered sadly did not par my expectations. While I was over the top with Depraved and it's cliffhanger, delivered proved to be a failure in my opinion.

JD and Eva were at their top peaks but it was the absurd storyline which could not fog my eyes. It had an angst to it, more brooding and darker but still didn't touch my soul as it did with Depraved. All this book gave was stable fucks and unhinging imaginary eye rolls. I will leave it to that then. The duet could have been better if there were more feels, less fantasia and whimsical. Well, better luck next time.

Checklist:

Plot : ★★★

Chemistry: ★★★

Writing Technique: ★★★

Reader's Connectivity: ★★★

Sex/Steamy Scenes: ★★★

Worth Your Time? : Nah, pass on.

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
Well I think Eva Charles has done a wonderful job creating this dysfunctional family, and the world they live in. My god it makes you go cold when you think a man like DW could end up president.
This duet has the perfect balance of hell and happy, even though Julian was living in hell trying to work out how to save his family. The sex was dark and dirty just as you expect, but as hot as hell my fingers still singed from my kindle.

Julian and Gabrielle have both in their way had been to hell and back. Julian’s childhood was a nightmare as we learn what happened to have made Julian arrange to have Gabrielle sent away to boarding school her away for her own safety.

This is an addictive read, and you can’t help but be invested in the characters wellbeing. I loved Julian having to hide his soft heart to survive the world he had to live in. Gabrielle was perfect for JD she loved and understood in the end. So all is well as we look forward to the next book in this world.
