Rate this book
Want to whet your appetite with the men of Blackwater in the Blackwater Renegades MC before the release of the full-length Blackwater series? Read these shorts and immerse yourself in the men of Blackwater and their personal life. Find out what makes them tick, ignite, and explode in these sensual stories of passion and sacrifice.

Blackwater Savior is a SHORT story, the beginning of Spooky and Mia.

Two years ago, Mia Sheridan's face lay plastered on missing person flyers, CNN, and other various news outlets. She was one among six other missing women from the Clearwater area, neither a trace nor a hair left behind. Abducted, beaten and sold, Mia has finally come to terms with the certainty that she will die her only concern is when that time will come.

Road Captain and eight-year vet with the Blackwater Renegades, Spooky is tasked with convincing a monster to sign divorce papers. He expected blood and mayhem, but what he found instead was Mia Sheridan, whose eyes held an innocence, unlike anyone he'd seen before. Spooky never bought the notion of love at first sight―lust at first taste was more like it―but the honey-eyed woman with a subtle glint of defiance in her eyes is a fighter, and that he can respect. When Spooky takes a solemn vow to protect her, he finds himself in over his head, but right where he belongs.

"I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review."
Mia and Spooky's story is not one of love at first sight or even like. Mia is looking for away out and Spooky just maybe her nigh in shinning armor. Mia's life has been turned inside out and it won't be easy for these her to trust anyone again but Spooky is willing to wait and protect her from any further hurt by any means necessary. Add to the fact that MC that Spooky is a member of, is just beginning a battle of their own which will lead to a long road before Mia and Spooky can even think of a HEA with each other. This story, although a short one, was an emotionally drama packed read that I couldn't put down until the very last word. The Narrator for this book made this story that much more entertaining as he made the story come alive with the way he played each character making sure you felt exactly what they were feeling as you follow along. Blackwater Savior is the beginning to what seems to be a great series of stories centered around the Blackwater Renegades MC. Book 1 is just a taste of what's to come, and I hope the author doesn't have us waiting to long because I can't wait to see what's coming next for these two and the rest of the Blackwater crew.

A very good tease

Hopefully, it won't take long for the novel to be released. I have been waiting on the Blackwater series to drop. I hate that the authors tease us with a potential new series and then we forget about it bc it takes years before the release and years between novels. I hope this author will give us quality work and still produce in a timely manner. I won't give anything away bc honestly there is nothing to give. I will say this seems like the start to a great novel. I hope the potential is realized and I really hope the h is over 25 and the H is not over 40. May/December romances are all good but I'm really tired of reading about barely 20 women in mature relationships men over 40 and both characters are emotionally stunted but they somehow manage to have a NEW and the childish young woman in the last chapter manages to grow leaps and bounds and ride off into the sunset with a man old enough to be her dad and all is well. Please!!!. I know we have to suspend reality to enjoy these books but please, let the women be over in 25. Anywho, great teaser and I look forward to the novel.

Waiting anxiously for the full novel

I am so in love with the possibilities of this series already. I did get a little angry over one “scene” (no spoilers) but the hero understood his mistake and vowed to do better. On to the next Blackwater shorts book.

4.25 Stars. (BWWM). An Amazon purchase. Fergus "Spooky" O'Connor is an Irishman who has been the Road Captain for the Renegades MC for eight-years, a man who has killed many men in his role to aide trafficked woman; but more than his capacity for violence , is his gentle, kind, caring, protective nature and his desire to love and be loved by his woman. Mia Sheridan is a college student, girlfriend and for two-years, a missing person who has spent the last six months as the sexual slave, wife, of a mean sadistic monster, Mark. Mia is inadvertently freed and ultimately claimed by Spooky when he and some of the Renegades act as guarantors that Mark will sign the divorce papers of the abducted wife that proceed the abduction of Mia. Spooky sort Mia's okay before he declared her as his old lady, wife, in MC speak, the woman who he will care for and protect with his life. Mia has baggage that we have yet to be made privy, like why she doesn't want to return to her home and why she claims her boyfriend will not accept her considering her ordeal. I love that Spooky has taken Mia to a nunnery where she can receive the psychological help she needs as well as time to physically heal. This short book is a prelude to Spooky's and Mia's romance and love story. The author allowed the reader to glimpse Mia's trust and attraction to Spooky start to unfold and Spooky's desire for her start to grow. Look forward to reading their story. Like them a lot already.

I was given a free copy of the audio version of this story by the author for a honest review. In the title the reader is notified this is a short story and a prelude to the Blackwater Series. It runs between one hour and two hours. As other reviewers have stated there is not much to give away because the story is a short story. The build up to the "romance" happens quickly, however it is a cliffhanger. Hopefully the novels for the Blackwater Series includes updates on the characters in the short stories that lead up to the first novel in the series. The male performer for the short story did a fair job. He seems versatile and was able to relay emotions for both male and female characters. It would have been nice to have a female performer, however with the shortness of the story, it would not have added much more to the story. Overall it was a good story.

This quick listen certainly has whet my appetite for the Blackwater series. Mia is in a situation that is more than dangerous, and when Spooky gets a hold of her, he is not going to let go. He vows to protect her, but at what cost? This short is powerful, very visual and full of emotion. It's just enough background to entice me to want to see what is going to happen with these two, as there are all kinds of possibilities. Bring it on, I am ready! Narrated by the talented Michael Pauley, his voice adds that element of danger and suspense. He gives Spooky an accent to make you melt and made this so worth the listen!

Strong subject with happy ending.

One thing I love, it's revenge well served. Most cases of human trafficking go under reported and passed as simple kidnappings or missing persons. It no longer shocks me; but angers me. I was afraid; as I tend to read from time to time, books that make me uncomfortable. Happy ending (bloody one) made me smile peacefully, knowing the monster got what was coming to him.

Oh, the narration!!! One great voice actor. I have purchased in past works by him (collection folder). Let me tell you, that end was perfect! Deep voice made for one macabre revenge sweet! Yes! ✊

Blackwater Savior: Spooky and Mia, is a Prelude. From the very beginning, I was pulled into Spooky and Mia's story. The characters are outstanding and Michael Pauley does an awesome job. His way with accents and dialects is truly unbelievable. Whether he's speaking as H/h, the villian, or the road crew his delivery is on point. I felt as if I was watching an action packed movie. Great job, Interview I. Iversen. I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left an unbiased review.

I have the ebook, and I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

I have all of this author's non-paranormal stories and have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series of shorts. I hope the full-length novels are coming soon! The characters in this short are so vivid, Spooky a bit more than Mia, although I liked them both. This is a great short story and I'd say the only thing wrong with it is that it wasn't longer!

WOW!

Dramatic beginning!
Totally unexpected
Spooky is an unexpected
alpha who steps up & takes
the abused, traumatized Mia
as his old lady, promising to protect
& take care of her ! Making the man
who tortured her pay for his heinous
act. Spooky has a gentle loving side that
that is reserved for only Mia.

Nice

Cool very short story. The author described the characters so vividly in such a short story. Mia was as expected from the beginning to the end. Spooky was what was needed, for Mia and the story. I'm anxious to read the next book in this series.

I need me a Spooky

How can a man so vicious be so gentle and loving? I was pleased to see that Mia was not completely broken. I have hope that she will bounce back in the future. Can't wait to read the next one!

DNF'd

I just started this book and quickly DNFd it. I don't like the prose. I felt like I was just reading bad trauma porn a few pages in. I'm not gonna bother with the other two in the series.

These books are highly rated on Goodreads so many people like them. I'm just not one of them.
