At forty years of age, Special Operator Tucker Hudson re-qualifies and joins SEAL Team 3 but must leave behind his young bride. He steps into a dangerous deployment in Central Africa to hunt down a drug and child sex trafficking warlord. But the hazardous duty is made even more perilous by the knowledge that his best friend and team buddy, Brawley Hanks, suffers from effects of his previous deployments.
Brandy Hudson knows her big man with his huge heart must do what he’s called to do to protect his team both in the arena and at home. She hopes that his sacrifice will not prove too precious. But she also knows this comes with being the wife of an elite warrior. He’s the man she’s searched for her whole life.
Their relationship will be tested while they stay connected during his deployment and afterwards. Brandy knows she must brace herself for whatever happens when he comes home. But life is not always fair as tragedy strikes their SEAL family, and rocks the foundations of their love to the core. Will they be the couple to survive, or will one of them be left behind?
I actually have the series box set in ebook & audio. But I’m going to review each novella individually. These novellas follow the same couple and build off events from previous books - so you want to listen/read them in order. They’re probably best fit for those in the mood for short & simple stories.
DNF @ 80%. I think this author’s style just isn’t for me. At first I thought it might be because this is really one book chopped into pieces to be released as a series of novellas… but the odd dialogue, lack of research/realism, inconsistent timeline and almost no suspense just leaves me frustrated. This starts 2 months (or 2 years or who knows because none of the timing lines up) after the end of SEALed at the Altar. Tucker is off on his first mission after reenlistment and the whole thing is just odd. They bring an actively alcoholic & PTSD-suffering teammate, basically having to constantly babysit his erratic behavior and moods. Team members have to be told not to announce that they’re SEALs at a restaurant. Their cover is that they’re NGOs, or that they’re vacationing/fishing, or some other thing - it seemed to change daily based on whatever weird thing they were doing. They don’t want to draw attention to themselves but they’ve rented out a mansion.
Brandy’s chapters are random snippets of daily life where her dad starts dating, she gets to face off with mean girls, hear about Dorie’s disturbed husband (the one causing trouble for the team), etc. Parts are mundane and seem pointless, parts feel very NA catty again pointless, and I guess the rest is drama/angst.
At half way in for the series as a whole, I expected to be invested in the story/couple and I’m finding I just don’t care.
JD Hart’s narration continues to be solid and it’s become apparent he’s the reason I made it this far.
I received a copy of this book on Friday and finished it on Saturday, I couldn’t put it down! And even though I hadn’t read the first two books in the Bone Frog Brotherhood Series, I was able to follow along without a problem. The relationship between Tucker and Brandy is very realistic and relatable. I’m going to go back and read #1 and #2 before the last book comes out! Sharon Hamilton sure knows how to weave a wonderful SEAL story!
If you love SEALs, their missions and their relationships, then you will love this book. SEALed Forever is the continuing story of Tucker, Brandy, the other members of SEAL Team 3 and their families. Sharon writes these books to where you feel like you are so much a part of the story. I got very involved in it and was not ready for it to end.
Tucker and Brandy are still learning to deal with being married to each other and now that Tucker has re-qualified to rejoin his SEAL team, they are going to have to deal with his first deployment. For Tucker, this mission is going to be about proving that he deserves to be there and about protecting and looking after his troubled friend and teammate, Brawley. For Brandy, this first mission is going to be about learning what exactly it means to be a wife of a SEAL and learning to deal with her personal insecurities. For SEAL Team 3, this mission will test them all and like everything else in life all does not go according to plan. The book ends on a cliffhanger and I am definitely looking forward to the next one.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Tucker is such a larger-than-life kind of man. He has such a presence in all that he does. To be the old guy back on the Teams is such an accomplishment! I love his personality. He comes off kind of shy but, yet he is totally capable of being a commanding and formidable member of the unit when it’s needed.
I also love that Brandy is totally accepting of Tucker’s need to be part of his SEAL Team once again after several years away even though she is new at being his wife and needing a lot of reassurance.
This is an exciting story located deep in Africa where the climate is hot, buggy and very dangerous in more ways than one. I enjoy the depth of descriptions which make me feel like I am right there in the midst of the heat, grit and interaction among the villagers and their shops.
A lot of twists and turns make this a very exciting page turner. I love the familiar characters that keep appearing and make this a satisfying addition to this author’s work. I am excited to read the next book in this series!
Tucker and Brandy’s story continues. It’s been 2 years, Tucker’s back on Team 3 and getting ready for his first deployment. But things aren’t all smooth sailing; not when his best friend’s struggling with PTSD and his ex-wife is making waves. This is an exciting and engaging episode in Tucker and Brandy’s love story. It’s a roller coaster of emotions, filled with drama, action and steamy passion. If you’ve been reading the series, then you know how likeable the characters are, but each story can be read and enjoyed on its own. This storyline struck a cord with me because I’ve been there, done that. As the wife of a NAVY sailor, I know how it feels to be the wife left at home, and it feels just like that! I strongly recommend this wonderful story and series!
I have to say that the last thing I was expecting was a cliffhanger. Honestly, I'm not sure whether to call it a cliffhanger or a very abrupt ending.
This book covers so many emotions, along with the action and suspense. It emphasizes the strength of military families and also how fragile those connections can be at the same time.
Tucker and Brandy have to find their way considering this is his first deployment after their marriage. I have a sense that they are also going to have to watch out for his ex wife.
There were a number of things left up in the air, so it will be interesting to see how it all pans out.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I am an Army Brat so I understand the missions. I was there when my Dad went to Viet Nam. I understand Tucker. Sharon Hamilton hits the bullseye again in this book. No one in the military has it easy, not the guys, not their women, not their families, and Sharon doesn't sugar coat that. But what she does with great finesse is weave their love stories in such a way that they never lose sight of what they are fighting for. Tucker and Brandy are so special and while they learn about each other they also traverse the ups and downs of the military life and marriage. Thank you for this book Sharon Hamilton. I love the SEALs.
Tucker is finally back on the teams and when they are sent to Africa on a mission his new wife Brandy has to come to terms as to what it means to be a Seal’s wife. It’s a time for discovery and bravery as they face their separation.
Sharon Hamilton has written with great skill in describing all the emotions and problems in this very enjoyable and addictive story.
Sharon's books always have me squirming in my seat either from suspense or from the love scenes! Her books are a must read for me.
I love this series because Tucker and Brandy are so relatable. This story shines a bright light on how some loved ones cope before, during and after deployment.
Really enjoyed this story. It is a happy for now and can't wait to see what is next for this couple. Plenty of action, heat, and old friends make their appearance. All together make for a good read. I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Sharon Hamilton once again wrote an amazing story that will keep your attention and make you not want to put it down! This book had everything I love in a story and I can't wait to see who she writes next!
Ever been on a roller coaster where you are looking at a slow, dramatically steep climb up and totally dreading yet anticipating the inevitable fall with glee? Well, reading Sealed Forever (Bone Frog Brotherhood #3) by Sharon Hamilton is like that rollercoaster. An emotional up and down, a sometimes humorous, yet teeth clenching, heart wrenching story of family love, devoted brotherhood, and a fight to follow ones heart despite the personal sacrifices it takes. "...he wished for a fleeting moment he'd never signed up to leave her...was it sweeter this way...because he knew now life was so fragile..." This story follows Tucker, a 40 year old re-qualified SEAL who once again joins the team fight against the bad guys of the world. A true hero who possible sacrifices his own life and future for the good of everybody else. I can't gush enough about Sealed Forever. It's fascinating, well written, and super intense. The research and attention to details regarding the surroundings, culture, and people in the story blow me away-also, no skimping over the plot or character details. What a glimpse into the sacrifices and dedication required of a soldier. The reader is constantly left wondering if Tucker and his wife Brandy be able to handle all the hurdles being thrown their way. Death, mental health issues, pregnancy, medical trauma, oh, and throw in a skanky ex-wife just for giggles. I really really loved this book!!! And while Sealed Forever does have an "ending", there is a mini cliffhanger/ teaser where the story is to be continued in the next book of the series, Bone Frog Brotherhood #4, Seal's Rescue. Be prepared to be hooked like a fish on the end of a rod with this series.
This is a continuation of Brandy and Tucker's story. They have been married for two years and Trucker has returned to SEAL Team 3. Brandy and Tucker settle into life behind her father's house. They are settling into life when he receives the call to be deployed. He best friend Brawley Hanks is being deployed with him and he is fresh out of rehab for PTSD. He has a lot on his plate.
This is Brandy's first time dealing with her husband's deployment. She is a plus size woman who speaks her mind and Tucker love her for who she is. Brandy is self conscious because she was teased as a child because she is plus sized. People treat her poorly because of her size. She doubts herself and when she runs into Tucker's ex-wife.
The mission goes sideways and there is tension in the marriage when Tucker comes home. Add to that the guilt Tucker carries when they lose a man and Brawley has issues during the mission. Brandy and Tucker need to learn how to deal with the aftermath of deployment.
Brandy is a strong character and I like the fact that she is plus sized. She reminds me of me in a lot of ways. She is bold in terms of speaking her mind but she is still vulnerable to scrutiny. Being teased as a child follows you and it does Brandy. I can really identify with her and her insecurities.
This was a fast read and I felt for Brawley and his wife. Ms. Hamilton show us how hard military families struggle with deployments and how it affects the families left behind. She also show us how hard it is when someone is injured or affected with PTSD.
I am looking forward to the next installment to the Bone Frog Brotherhood.
Tucker and Brandy Hudson’s story continues in this suspenseful follow-up to SEALed at the Altar. After only two months of marriage, Brandy’s fears are realized when Tucker’s team is being deployed to Central Africa. He cannot tell her that the team will be involved in the possible take down of a drug and child trafficking ring or the amount of danger involved. Not knowing what they will face and preparing for deployment, Tucker is also worried about his teammate Brawley Hanks. Brawley, recently out of rehab, is trying to hold it together long enough to complete his twenty years of service. How will this deployment affect his PTSD? Brandy knows that Tucker can only be Tucker, the man she loves with her whole heart, but what if he doesn’t make it back? Brandy and Dorie, Brawley’s wife, hear possible news of the teams’ mission in Africa and know that lives were lost. Was it their men? Brandy is prepared for an adjustment when and if Tucker returns home. Will their fragile marriage withstand the horrors he may have witnessed on the mission? I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (by paytonpuppy)
We are back with SEAL Team 3 , and Tucker Hudson. He is back with the team, and the first time he will be leaving Brandy. We met them in book 1 of the series, and if you are like me, you have come to love them. His first mission will take him to Africa where he will face danger and the first test for Brandy as a SEAL wife. It’s also the first mission his best friend Brawley Hanks will be on since his medical release. The story is engaging filled with action and we also get a chance to spend some time with some of the characters from previous stories. But the story is more than the plot. It’s a story about the stress of deployment not only for the brave soldiers , but also for the families left behind. As well as the “decompression” upon their return. About not only the physical strains they undergo but also the emotional and psychological ones. Definitely thought provoking and an eye opener. For that, kudos to this talented author. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
It has been two-years since their wedding and the relationship of Mr. and Mrs. Hudson is put to the test unlike at any time prior. Now an official member of SEAL Team 3 and on his first deployment (a particularly hazardous one in Central Africa) since re-joining, Tucker begins to place great pressure on himself. He feels overwhelmed with obligations, such as looking out for his struggling team buddy/best friend, having a positive influence on new team members and proving to himself he is mentally and physically fit for the mission at the age of forty. Additionally, being strong emotionally for his young wife taking care of things on the home front doesn’t always come easy. Meanwhile, Brandy must cope with reoccurring feelings of jealousy when Tucker’s ex-wife appears, confront her ongoing self-image issues and provide moral support to a Team wife all while learning how married life in the military has its own unique challenges. Despite a very sudden, unfulfilling ending, this installment of Tucker and Brandy’s story captivated throughout.
This one is quite tense and suspenseful with the mission, you get some action. But there are still some unanswered questions to things from previous book that literally just suddenly don't get dealt with, so the thief in the shop? No mention in this one at all of what happened with this. The woman who kept calling Doris? again silence. These were important enough to be a part of the two previous books and to me not dealt with, which bugs the crap out of me. I also don't feel that someone with the serious issues that Brawley has would be included in such a mission that fast, he would be eased back into training and light duties for a while to make sure he was stable enough to go with the teams, months of seeing a psychiatrist as an out patient. I do however feel that the author dealt well with the moods and behaviour of Tucker and Brandy both while the men were away and once they were back, there will be worry and adjustment problems always. All in all this was a better and smoother read.
SEALED FOREVER by Sharon Hamilton is the third in her Bone Frog Brotherhood series, following the life of Special Operator Tucker Hudson and his new wife Brandy. Tucker and his team are called out to Africa for their first mission together, and Tucker's is additionally tasked with keeping a friendly eye on his good friend Brawley Hanks, who's been struggling a bit with a number of mental and emotional challenges.
SEALED FOREVER gives us a close-up view of Brandy's adjustment to life as a SEAL Team wife, with the support and some of the constraints that entails. Sharon Hamilton gives us some of the excitement and action of the Team's mission, as well as the fears and surprises that pop up. It's clear Ms Hamilton writes with understanding of SEALs and their families, and an appreciation for their role in the U.S. military. Looking forward to more in this series.
Tucker has done the near impossible and gone back through BUDs to get back into the teams. And he has married a wonderful but much younger woman in Brandy. Now he is going on his ‘first’ mission with the team to Africa and his best friend Brawley is still having issues. How is it all going to work out? I really loved the way that Ms. Hamilton covered both what was going on with Tucker and the team as well as with Brandy on the home front. I was a military wife for the 27 years that my husband served and she got the waiting game right! Even homecomings for non-Seals have elements that she included. I really love the entire group that Ms. Hamilton has put together in this team with strengths and issues. And the wives at home are right on! Loved this book and am waiting anxiously now for the next one!
I really like this book, it felt like it was thoroughly researched . It isn't a typical romance, sex scenes with a story around it. It was a story about relationships, what it means to be a Seal and what it's like during a deployment. You really get a feel about the bonds of the Seals and especially the bound between two of the characters, Tucker and Brawley. I liked the handling of the relationship between Tucker and his wife, Brandy. I perhaps wished a bit more about Brandy, but you get a good base in understanding her marriage with Tucker and how she deals with their relationship and her insecurities. I wished it was a bit longer, but that's my preference as I love a good long book. Can't wait to continue the series. I received an advanced readers copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
This is a great addition to the Bone Frog series with Tucker newly married to Brandy qualify to be a SEAL again at forty and what that lifestyle is like that he loves. He was being deployed to Africa with his friend Brawdy who he felt was not really ready to go on assignment after his last injury left him with taking anxiety pills. As it turns out Tucker was right after they lost another team member, Ollie which sent Brawdy into an anxiety attack. He ended up serving his final two years as an instructor much to Tucker 's relief. It is interesting to read about everything that these men and their families go through as they sacrifice to serve our country. I am looking forward to the next release in this series as we read about the lives of these older SEALs and their families.
Ms. Hamilton has done it again. SEALed Forever finds Tucker and Brandy facing another separation. Tucker is back on the teams at age 40 and Brandy will be alone, a new wife and new to the military life during deployment. There are very real issues in this story that are dealt with and they are not easy topics as well. The struggles are real and you as the reader, are right there in all the activity. It is a great book with all the ingredients necessary for a great and entertaining read, suspense, mystery, thought provoking issues, joy, connection, and relationships.
I highly recommend this book.
I received this advanced reader's copy in exchange for an honest review.
OMG This is such a great book. I couldn't put it down until the end. Tucker and Brandy are married and then Tucker goes on a mission overseas. Brandy knows she is not alone, but sometimes it feels like it. She doesn't want to ask for help thinking that she is strong, but what she doesn't realize that by asking she IS strong. Tucker is caught between a rock and a hard place when he catches Brawley drinking. Should be turn him in or not? Can Tucker and Brandy make a go of their life together? Will they be one of the few couples to make it? You have got to read this to find out the answers. Ms. Hamilton you are awesome.
I absolutely adore Navy SEAL, Tucker Hudson. 😍 I mean what is there not to love about him? He is an older man, for being a Navy SEAL, who is dedicated, intelligent, sexy, driven, and totally in love with his younger wife, Brandy. He's also been totally upfront with Brandy about his career and what to expect from it. But that certainly doesn't make it easier for either one. 💗🔥💕
This is the third book about Tucker in the Bone Frog Brotherhood series and is meant to read the order it was written. However, each book does end in a happy for now.
I received a free copy of this book via the Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the 3rd installment in Tucker & Brandy’s story (you can pre-order the 4th book right now). They’ve only been married for two months and you see how they prepare as newlyweds for his deployment, the love they hold for one another as he is away, and the snags they hit as they reacclimate as a couple upon his return.
You expect the love story between the H and h, but what was an unexpected aspect for me was the balanced portrayal of the brotherhood the guys have on deployment along with the way the wives left at home rally to support and be there for each other.
I can’t wait to see what Sharon Hamilton has in store for book #4!!!
This book is Tucker and Brandi's story 2 years after their married and Tucker is back on the Seal teams and on team 3 so we get to meet up with the guys and their better half's . I love the way Sharon makes you feel like your right there you see the sights and sounds around you. This book shows us how life isn't easy for the men or the families left behind. I laughed I cried when they came home. This story will keep your attention. Plenty of action and suspense, and of coarse some loving. Can't wait to see what Sharon brings us in the next book. I received a free copy for an honest review.
Sealed Forever is book 3 in the Bone Frog Brotherhood series by Sharon Hamilton about a sexy older seal and his lady!
This is the continued story of Tucker and Brandy...Tucker has requalified for Seal Team 3 and is leaving Brandy for the first time to go on a mission overseas. Can he reassure Brandy when he can’t talk about the mission, that he will come back to her and keep his teams mates safe to return to their families...
Suspenseful, emotional, dangerous, and lots of action will keep you on the edge of your seat!!
Once again Sharon Hamilton has written an emotionally charged SEAL book. This one is the continuing story about Tucker and Brandy and their relationship. Now happily married, Tucker’s group is sent to Africa on a mission. Several episodes occur and they suffer the loss of a member of the team. The problems with Brawley and his PTSD continue with some resolution involved. With her insecurities overcome, Brandy reveals a nice surprise to Tucker. I can’t wait to continue to read the next episode of this story of brotherhood, family, love, and action/suspense.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This is an interesting story which covers some of the emotions and struggles some military families can experience with deployments. It has strong characters, that are well developed so likable. Tucker returns to the seal team after being away for several years and goes on deployment. Brandy is his young wife of 2 years. She has to overcome her insecurity. Together they have strength and plenty of spark to make it. The plot is full of action, drama, mystery and suspense. It has twist and turns that will keep you captivated until the very end.
