Sådana här guider är smärtsamt mainstream, men funkar ju för en första överblick och också en första pepp när man just fått idén om ett nytt resmål. I det här fallet gick jag nästan direkt från biofilmen 'Belfast' in på Foyles sakproseavdelning på Waterloo någon gång i januari.

Som jag sagt många gånger älskar jag att göra ett stort 'Reading a City'-projekt av varje resa. Slow travel ftw. För det ändamålet brukar Lonely Planets större cityguider vara jättebra; de sidor som handlar om mentalitet, identitet, livsstil och politiskt klimat. Bl.a. Seattle-guiden minns jag som mitt i prick när det gällde Pacific Northwest-viben.
