This book is nearly incoherent. It purports to tell the story of Melanie's religious awakening but avoids giving enough information about her actual life to allow the reader to understand anything that happened. The omissions put the reader in a position of guessing what really happened, and given Melanie's public interviews and her friend group, those assumptions inevitably paint Melanie as a terrible person. Also, the number of typos, formatting errors, and just bizarre editing choices (and I'm using that term very, very loosely) make it feel like this was just a cash grab and she didn't care about actually reaching people.

I didn't want it to end!

What an incredible book. I've never left a book review, that's how much I loved this book. I love how she writes, as if she's just sitting next to you, talking to you as a friend. It will change your life, and put you on the path to getting closer to the Lord and knowing what true joy is.
