Welcome to The Mating Games…

In a world where every nineteen-year-old Lycan in the United States is required to report to a super-secret facility in the Wyoming desert, Avery soon finds that she isn't training to be a fierce warrior as she was told. Instead she is being forced to pair with another wolf so they might breed to save the Lycan population.

Fast-talking and impossibly handsome Finnegan is Avery's roommate. As he’s intent on getting rid of her as soon as possible they have a rather inauspicious beginning. But soon the sparks fly. Could they really be fated mates? Or is this attraction just because of their circumstances?

Life at the Academy is nothing as it seems. When evil crops up, Avery makes a choice that will change her and Finn's life forever.

Publisher’s Note: This steamy dystopian romance contains elements of power exchange.

I read this book for What the Smut, a podcast my friends and I do about supernatural erotica/romance. Our two-part discussion, Sex Ed Re-imagined and Spit on it Twice is full of spoilers but after you read the book check it out.

This delightful book is simply choked FULL of sex. There were times I wondered if it was full-on erotica but the sex fits so seamlessly into the storyline that you really won't notice. The characters are pretty much dumb kids I ended up loving them for it. Check it out. It's a super fun sexy romp.

DNF @ 35%

This was a YA/porn mashup and simply did not appeal to me.

If you’re looking for the concept, where the characters are supposed to lean about sex from live demonstrations, believe that Jacqueline Frank has one - I’ll come back when I have the right title. Her characters are grown though and there’s less of the feel of something like Hunger Games or Divergent.

This was a very different PNR read and my first from this author. I did enjoy it but felt there was more time spent on the sex academy aspects than the actual characters and story. I am interested in stories on the side characters.

A Captivating Lycan Adventure!!

Avery, the only daughter of the Smithson pack just turned nineteen, and like all unmated Lycans is sent to school out west to learn how to fight. At least that is what they were told. Reality is very different. When she is expected to mate with her roommate Finn, she would be even more upset – except he really is her mate.

A resistance has formed to investigate what is truly happening and search for those who have disappeared.

Danger, intrigue, abuse of power and steamy relationships combine to create a highly entertaining story!!

Finn (Lycan Mating Games Book 1) by S. Cinders Finn (Lycan Mating Games Book 1) By: S. Cinders
Here's A Great Series Opening That Doesn't Disappoint; One-Click "Finn (Lycan Mating Games Book 1)!"
She's a Typical Lycan heading OUT To Do Her Duty,
Or Sooo she's Thinks... Until she gets there,
And It's NOT at ALL what She's been LED to BELIEVE!
She's been sent to a Secret Breeding Station instead of a Training Rotation,
To say She's Shocked is putting it Mildly...
In Fact, She'd Rather take OFF & Run like H€LL!
Well... It's NOT Exactly HER Fault,
Cuz her Parents didn't Tell HER about the Facility... At ALL!
But NOW it's too late... As it seems She's likely just Met Her Fate!!
In the Form of an Alpha RoomMate Named "Finn,"
He's also the Guy Her inner Wolf is Screaming is HER New M.A.T.E!
AND Sooo the Wheels are Set in Motion,
Leaving HER with NO Option but to Deal with the Commotion... That's for D@mn Sure!
Which is how Her, "Finn," & the Crew END up on an Evil Plot's CounterAttack...
But, will they be Enough... Locked InSide, as it were, a Breeding Station without Aid!
S. Cinders has an amazing talent for retelling & twisting Tales. She's given WereWolves & their Personalities a New life, an added sensuality, & an Interesting cause to FIGHT Against, resulting in a tantalizing mix of Eroticism, Mystery, Danger, Drama, Romance, & even Adult Fighting (meaning death)... Dunn, Dunn, Dunn, Dunn!! I daresay there's a plethora of intriguing material that'll keep you reading & rereading "Finn (Lycan Mating Games Book 1)" for years to come. It's definitely a must have, One-Click addition for your library.
I rarely give Coveted 5 STAR ratings; they're saved for Books/Items that Outshine, Outclass, & Outperform their competition... They've gotta give me something MORE! S. Cinders has won that Distinction for "Finn (Lycan Mating Games Book 1)," which Deviates from the Usual & goes on a Limb... But it Does so Beautifully. This book gives us a lots of DANGER & Drama with our Daily Dose of Cinders H€@T! Kudos, Ms. Cinders, for your Stellar work!!!!!
I was gifted an ARC of "Finn (Lycan Mating Games Book 1)" by S. Cinders via Booksprout; I love her Talent, Witt, & what she does with these Tales. I thoroughly enjoyed this book; therefore, I'm gladly recommending it based upon its own merits... I'm definitely going to be be looking for MORE of this author's work in the future, Starting IMMEDIATELY with the Sequel to this BOOK! All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given!
Until next time... Happy Reading!

A really hot and steamy read with a 'different from the shifter norm' plot

When I read the blurb for this it reminded me of a story I started (but never got to finish) over on Radish. I didn't like how the app/site worked but always wanted to find out how this story ended, so I downloaded a sample, enjoyed that and one clicked to purchase the book straight after.

I read this in one evening by ignoring all the other things I should be doing and also by staying up a bit late. Despite one or two 'area's for improvement', it was addictive - not to mention so hawt it will melt your panties and your kindle. It was very instaLUST, but that isn't uncommon for the shifter genre and was also a key part of the plot, so I happily rolled with it.

I did find it hard to keep track of how long a time period had passed between some scenes. Sometimes days or even weeks had passed between scenes/chapters, but there was no indication of this, or of how long it was. A simple, 'nothing much happened for the next few weeks' or 'it was two weeks since....' would have, for me, made a huge difference to following the story.

Despite my time 'issues', and perhaps some problems being fairly easily solved, this was a really good read and I will continue the series. The pace is really good and as I've already said the plot/writing totally held my attention throughout. I really enjoyed the suspense part of the story, though in some ways it was 'wrapped up' a little quickly. I would have loved this part to be longer and more detailed, but that's just a 'me thing' and certainly doesn't affect my rating.

I loved Avery and Finn, they are only 19 so aren't always the most reasonable and mature of characters but that made them even better for me. The book is written first person from both POV's so it's easy to get to know them and believe in their connection. There are some fab side characters too and I'm intrigued to find out more about them. They added depth and dimension to the story.

There were some 'loose ends', though since this is book 1 I'm hoping the 'why did they do that?' and 'what happened to?' questions will be answered in later books. I have been left with quite a few questions but that only makes me more excited to read the next book! They certainly don't spoil this part of the story, which can be read as a standalone and has a HEA/satisfying conclusion to it.

Where Avery came from, there were only two things that mattered in this world - your bloodline and your ability to survive. It didn't matter if she was head cheer leader or in the top of her class. Excellence was not only expected but it was the norm and to be sub-par was not tolerated. Besides, it didn't really matter how well you did in school, there would be no college. Once a Lycan child turned 19 they were sent to Wyoming to the Lycan Academy together. Not for education, but fighting and warfare training, at least that's what Avery's been told by her Alpha father, of the Smithson pack. But upon arrival, her roommate informed her Lycans were dying out. There were there to extend their race and the two of them had been paired together as the best possible match to procreate. His name was Finnegan Bronson. It seems his dad, alpha of the Red Craven pack in Georgia and Avery's dad knew each other so they thought they'd hit it off.
Wow!! Just Wow!! I have been a fan of S. Cinders for a long time and must say, this by far is one of the best books she's written to date. If is no small lycan paranormal fluff romance. This is a PNR that has substance and bite to it, with all the sex lycans are known for along with the spine chilling pot. And the best part, this is not just a one off. It's the first book to a series I can't wait to get my hands on. Well done S. Cinders, I hope you're REALLY proud of yourself, because as an avid fan, I'm proud for you.

Finn had never expected hi little plan would backfire ……
Emily had no idea what to expect when her brother Daniel had dropped her off however his instruction to telephone him if she wanted to leave and he would come and fetch him. When she had walked into her room and had discovered that she had a male room mate who was currently very intimately involved with a female who her wolf instantly objected to.
Finn had known that Emily was going to be his partner it was something that both their fathers had arranged as they believed that they would be ideally suited however what he had never expected was that they were in fact “Mates”.
Finn was part of the underground and was assisting several other s that had brothers and sisters that had never been the same sine they had attended the Lycan Mating Games, they were looking for answers, to the missing babies, to the those that had lost huge blocks of memory, unsure of what actually happened whilst they there.
This was a wonderful read the secrets and the lies were more that you could ever have imagined, and the characters and the situation was wonderfully written I would recommend this read to anyone.
I voluntarily received and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

The US Lycan United Force is a Academy in Wyoming that everyone who turns 19 yrs old and is unmated must attend. Avery lives with her Father who is Alpha and her brother Danny. Danny is the one driving her to the academy and she thinks they are going to teach her about fighting and warfare. Danny pleads with her that is she needs him to call him and hell come back to get her. When she finds her dorm room and there is a male as her roommate she realizes something is wrong. The male Finn realizes that Avery is his mate. So he has to explain the Academy is a breeding one that wants babies produced to build up the Lycan population. All the classes are geared to sex and pregnancy teachings with visual and hands on displays. When Avery realizes Finn is her mate the sex is constant throughout this story between them. They cant keep their hand off each other. They end up working for the resistance who want to blow the lid off the Academy and all the secrets its hiding. The use of a memory erasing drug, a sexual heat inducing drug plus an anti shifting drug that they use on students was a shock to Avery and Finn. This has a happy ending that left open ended questions which will hopefully be answered in book 2. I really enjoyed this action packed story so far.

Where to begin? Wow, totally impressed!!! S Cinders has given me a new series to become addicted to. A story about a school that parents send the children to in order for them to find a mate and procreate. Crazy stuff for sure!!! But if your a Lycan and of age this was what you did, only you didn't know the real reason for the school till you got there. That was not the only deceit going on either...teachers are hiding secrets, students are hiding secrets and to top it all off there is a drug that can erase it all from you memory. From the very first encounter between Fynn and Avery I was hooked, he was suppose to scare her away but instead he fell for her almost instantly. She belonged to him, that is all Fynn knew. once Avery understood her feelings she wanted to only belong to Fynn also. The one thing about the story that got a little repetitive for me was that neither Avery or Flynn could keep their hands off one another even when it was the most inappropriate time. Other than that the resistance story line and the premise of the story is definitely engaging and addictive. Cannot wait for more.

It was such an interesting book. I don’t even have an idea on how this got on my Kindle but I am very happy that I took the chance to finally read it. This is a very different approach to shifters and mates.

Once a shifter reaches a certain age, they have to go through a school that teaches them all about their lives and the mating process.
The two main characters immediately find out that they are mates. And end up going through this school together and it sort of takes quite a dark and smutty turn of events when the classes physically show you how to give blowjobs, hand jobs, rimming, etc. And basically how to please your mate.
It was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.
However, The school is a bit sinister and has a dark side with hidden agendas to it. People are having their minds erased and baby shifters are being taken away to an unknown place. Forced heat cycles, forced partner changes, and making the females get pregnant for an ulterior motive.

There’s a secret uprising that wants equal rights for both males and females and the choice to whomever you fall in love with.

I loved book and I will be continuing the series for sure!

WOW – this is NOT your typical Junior College! A paranormal MUST-READ!
I’m SO VERY glad I bought this book! “FYNN” is a wonderful love story or three within the construct of a school full of overtly sensual yet militaristic “instruction” maintained by the ridge force of its instructors and the large contingent of security personnel. Oh, and there is a little bit of magic that spices up what is already a captivating page-turner! “FYNN” is also a coming of age romance, a trope I usually avoid, but the blurb sounded so good, I had to take a chance. Now, I am soooo very glad I did! Author Cinders has an easy descriptive style that includes plenty of STEAM within the context of a fascinating and complex plotline. All of the characters within the supporting cast were well-developed, but Cinders use of dual narration made the main characters of Fynn and Avery larger than life and unforgettable. I hope that Cinders will write more romances within the paranormal world she developed for “FYNN.” I STRONGLY suggest that you purchase your copy of “FYNN” today! Happy pages! 😉

A little over the top in some aspects in my opinion

The mating games is filled mostly with erotic actions in a classroom situation while the "students" then act out what they were taught. I like erotic books but this one was a bit more than I expected. I am saying this as a warning to those readers who may be looking for more of a "hunger game" type book like I was.
The people behind the schooling has made attending mandatory. They say it is to help the Lycan species to survive but more is going on that what the families have been told. Unethical situations are discovered by the rebellion.
I feel like several things were not resolved. Like I want to know if they found out for sure what really happened to a couple of the characters' sisters. Maybe more is explained in the next book.
I liked the premise behind the story. Like I said, this was a little over the top but I may read the next book because I want to know what is going to happen with this so called school and if other people can be saved.

This was a good read from S Cinders ,,,,

What a start for a series,,,,, James who is a male Lycan is in a school for Lycan's,,, they are taught things in this school like anywhere else, but this school has many rules, where they can go,,, who they can talk to,,, and the most important reason,,, to procreate,,,, for the purpose of making more Lycan, to populate the world,,, some other rules they learn the hard way,,,, then he meets Avery and their chemistry is off the charts,,, you need a lot of ice to get thru the steamy scenes between these 2 Lycan's ,,,,,this book has lots of action,,,, adventure and again,,,, the great chemistry they have,,,,

This is the 1st book in The Lycan Series from the remarkable author S Cinders,,,, This is the start of something beautiful,,,, !!! I would so totally recommend this series to everyone,,,, !!!

Chaotic and inconsistent. I don't think Cinders had a good plan for this. It seems like a "just wing it" from the beginning. First, the academy is a training academy, but no one can talk about it. Turns out, it's a mating frenzy training facility that doesn't allow the women to have rights. It's forbidden for any male to talk about it to the young females, and vice versa. It's supposed to be gender unequal where the females don't get a choice, but it doesn't make sense when she could request a different roommate when she found Finn on the receiving end of a fellatio. It is all over the place, and I worked to get to 29%. At first I thought "okay, it's an erotica with a sub par plot." Later, when more of the plot became center stage, it was worse. Not even the sex was worth reading. It's a confused feministic trope shoved into an erotica done very badly.

It has potential. If one day Cinders decides to rewrite it, it could be good. As it stands, it's not.

This book is so good! It is definitely addicting. I had a hard time putting it down. I loved all the characters and the story was really unique and different than anything I had read. I laughed so much reading this too! If I wasn't laughing at every turn of the page, it was every other page. It was great!
Finn and Avery are explosive! I loved every minute of their journey together, even their first meeting. The build up was amazing...I just wish that all that steaminess would have carried on even when life got busy for them.
I am sure the unanswered questions will be answered in the rest of the books of this series. Characters were all so great that I would not mind reading all their stories... Great book. I loved it.

This was a great book. I couldn't put the story down. S. Cinders did a great job on Finn, the story was great, it was well written and had a strong plot, filled with different emotions, there was suspense, drama, action and a learning lesson. The characters were great. Finn and Avery were strong. These two were made for each other. They had an instant connection. They made a strong pair, well mated. The connection was strong between them and their chemistry was off the charts, sexy. They were good for one another. Their bong for intense and fierce. Loved how protective and possessive they were over each other. I enjoyed their story. They were great together. I'm looking forward to reading more of this series.
This was a great story. I highly recommend reading it, it's a 5 star must read.
Thank you, S. Cinders. Wonderful work :)

Very unique wolf shifter novel. Great new premise. The population of wolf shifters is decreasing at an alarming rate and something needs to be done. Send all the newly matured young shifters to an academy to learn all about sex and wait for them to procreate. Simple, right?!? Of course then the unscrupulous leaders step in and attempt to control the outcome. Avery and Finn are a matched couple who can't keep their hands off each other. Lots of sex!! But that's the whole point. I really liked the characters and the story was quite interesting with some funny moments, but the conclusion left a bit to be desired. I'm sure the next book in this series will solve that. Very enjoyable read and I'm looking forward to more.

Well, if this wasn't a fun surprise! This book is instant lust, HOT, funny, full of steamy scenes and a really enjoyable (and unique) plot. When I started reading this, I thought is was just going to be a shifter romance (you know the traditional type), but it is way more then that! It has action, passion, and things that you will be thinking about for days to come. I am just so awe struck, it was like a hit from left field that left we pleasantly happy and grinning. I don't think I have ever read anything like it. If you are looking for a fun, completely non-serious, hot book give this a try! I received an ARC vis Booksprout and I am leaving an honest review.

Our heroine Avery finds herself at a school she thought was for training. Instead it was for sex. Where the kids are pushed into breeding. Her roommate Finn is hunky hot male hero. I don't want to give any spoilers but there is a Insta love connection. But there is something going on at that school behind the scenes that is not right. I found the book quite steamy and liked the fact that while trying to figure out the mysteries of the school, Avery and Finns relationship stay solid. This really is a good read and I would recommend it.

I was really into the story and I hate to say this but for me, there was a little bit too much steam. I really enjoyed the book toward the end when all the action started up. Michelle was a trip and I sure hope Katie and Savannah are okay, but maybe in another book, they showed back up. What happens to Danny and Emily, the loss of a sister and a child these twists plus the others made the story. The other characters in the book were awesome too. I really enjoyed the book. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

What an amazing start to a new series it’s book 1 of the Lycan Mating Games and I think that you will be like me not being able to put it down, I believe that this is the best book written by S. Cinders so far. I loved the characters Finn and Avery and the journey that we go on with them plus they have sizzling hot chemistry and when I wasn’t sighing with the sexy scenes I was laughing at the others. This is such a fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

So much about the world building was severely lacking, which along with a plot, came secondary to an ennui of sex scenes. This is about lycans, yet virtually /nothing/ is thought out or explained about who they are or what exactly their abilities are in this world. Again, the world building was more like something that was just too much work to be figured out with all the fetish voyeurism and exhibitionism going on.
So. Many. Sentences were missing contractions. So rather than reading smoothly or naturally, it was stilted and wooden. It was super annoying, as this was throughout the book.

Finnigan and Avery

From the moment they saw each other Finn and Avery began their love story. They had been sent to a Lycan academy where each young man and young lady were paired off. They were told the numbers of My fans were dwindling and they needed to contribute to increasing the population. Nefarious things were going on, however, and all faculty were involved. The characters are normal young people, and it is interesting to see how they work together to solve what is going on as well as what individuals end up together.

Let’s highlight some of the fun, naughty aspects of this book: unbridled passion, consensual voyeurism, dirty talk, and encouraged wild exploration! You are entering the only university on the planet where all parents, professors, administrators, and every adult is telling the teens to party and get it on!
Yes, it is as fun of a read as it sounds. Don’t be discouraged if you find all of this sexiness overwhelming this is not just smut. The Plot & Characters are top-notch, full of depth, and heart!
You are getting a fantastic story! You are getting a fantastic series!
