What's a superheroine to do when her super soldier ex turns up alive after more than fifteen years?
Lyndsey Daniels doesn't have much time to walk down memory lane before she and Ian Fox find themselves thrown together to investigate the mysterious deaths of ten young men in the Canadian wilderness. How do the hearts of such seemingly normal, healthy men just...stop?
With the hint of an evil spirit in the wind—and a whole lot of butterflies—there's no telling what Lyndsey and Ian are dealing with, including their own extensive baggage. Though sixteen years is a lot of life to live, there's one thing they can't deny: their attraction is as intense as ever. But is it just a spark that will burn itself out, or is it true love bringing them back together? When the force they're hunting turns its sights on them, the leap of faith required far exceeds the powers of either of them. But worrying about their future might be premature because one wrong move and they might not make it out alive.
Lyndsey’s and Ian’s entire relationship is called into question in Book Three when Lyndsey learns she’s up against not only an ancient legendary princess, but also, potentially, Ian’s dead wife. How is that fair? Is Ian her one and only True Love? Is she Ian’s? The stakes are high and the clock is ticking as more questions arise before she can even begin to figure out answers—especially about things she’s avoided for over half her life. But avoidance is no longer an option. Too many lives hang in the balance, including the one she values above all.
Book Three of three in an epic urban fantasy/love story
Note: this is Book Three in a serial trilogy. Book One was released in September 2018; Book Two will be released April 2019. Book Three picks up where Book Two leaves off and should be read in order.
A big believer in happily ever afters, Jen Doyle decided it was high time she started creating some. Jen is a member of the Romance Writers of America, as well as a member of the New England Chapter, New Jersey Romance Writers and Music City Romance Writer chapters of RWA. She is represented by Sarah E. Younger of the Nancy Yost Literary Agency.
She has an M.S. in Library and Information Science and, in addition to her work as a librarian, has worked as a conference and events planner as well as a Communications and Enrollment administrator in both preschool and higher education environments (although some might say that there is very little difference between the two; Jen has no comment regarding whether she is one of the "some").
Her first book, CALLING IT, was published by Carina Press in April 2016. It was the winner of The Beacon, the Finish the Damn Book, and the Melody of Love 2014 contests in the Contemporary Romance category, and was also the Contemporary Romance winner as well as the Grand Prize Winner of the 2014 Gateway to the Best contest. Book #2, CALLED UP, will be published on August 29, 2016.
Okay, I am glad I stuck with this series. Book Three picks up exactly where Book Two ends. With Ian presumed dead. Everyone is devastated by Ian's death except for his kids. They turn to Lindsey to help them prove this. It's a long shot, but something Lindsey is willing to take a chance on. So her quest begins Lindsey's search for Ian. It takes a lot of twists and turns along the way. It will keep you turning pages until the very end. What a wild ride this series has been. Jen Doyle, I was on the fence after the first book, but I am glad I stuck with it. Thank you!
With the way the last book ended on a HUGE cliff hanger I was very much looking forward to this one. I had theories on what I thought was going to happen and I was right on some of them. I knew that Ian couldn't be dead, but I wondered if Abby was alive, hiding and going to pop back up. I'm glad that later part wasn't true, yet it was a little bit.
The whole Butterfly Queen/Trader lore was a bit crazy, especially as they figured things out from a Barney story. Yes you read that right, a kids purple dinosaur story. That was the start of things being a bit too far fetched, making you just have to go with it. I thought it odd that the BQ at times was channeling Abby, or so it seemed. You weren't really sure if it was her or Abby's ghost breaking through to protect Ian. Ian often wasn't sure either. He was trying like hell to fight things off, but it was hard. The memories of good times coming back to fog him up, making him not sure what as real and what wasn't.
Now while Ian was in la la land with the BQ and Abby, Lindsey was mourning him. She was so far out of it, it was crazy. I found it a bit ironic that it was Ian's kids, Kate in particular, that seemed to wake her up. It turns out the kids all are hiding things, but most especially Kate. I liked that Kate had the dreams to help her in her grief and gave her peace that her dad was alive, liked it more that the kids banded together and went to Lindsey for help, because they knew she loved him too and could do something about it.
From here Lindsey rallied the troops and they went to get back Ian. From here things became murky. They learned more about the BQ and trader, who could have been a twin to Ian. That seemed to lead them to getting an inkling of how to save Ian.
Once Ian was back in the land of the living, things wrapped up pretty quickly. There was some talk between Ian and Lindsey, about Abby and how Ian was able to get free as it all centered around love. Overall things ended good and you can see how these two will build something in the future.

Book 3 starts right where Book 2 ends. You must read this series in order to get the most out of it. So we start with everyone thinking Ian is dead. Lindsey is devastated, and has been crying and punching her punching bag non-stop. She gets an unexpected visit from all 4 of Ian's kids. They know more about what Ian does than anyone expects. They come to Lindsey because they believe their dad is still alive, and they want Lindsey to go look for him and bring him home. She listens to them and when they ask her questions she answers them truthfully, which earns her a lot of respect from them. Lindsey and the team along with Tessa make plans to look for Ian. There are a lot of crazy twists to this story. Lindsey has to keep proving to everyone that she and Ian really do love each other. There is so much to say, but I really do not want to give anything away and ruin it for anyone. This was a great trilogy. Each book was amazing, and they all went together and you learned so much more about Lindsey and Ian. I look forward to reading more by Jen Doyle.
Lyndsey and Ian have been thrown back together after 16 years. Both work to eliminate paranormal threats from the world. Lyndsey through a company she co-owns with a vampire. Ian as part of a super secret agency, made up of men/women from all branches of military and various agencies. Deep in the Canadian forest Lyndsey is pitted against a mythical princess in order to solve the mysterious disappearances of young, healthy men who all resemble Ian. Is what Lyndsey and Ian have real? Real enough to stop the evil forces at work?
This is the conclusion of Jen Doyle’s Butterfly Ops Trilogy. So much happens in this 3rd book it will keep you on your toes. I loved this book and all the mystery thrown into this story. This series gets you a little bit of everything paranormal, suspense, military and romance. Loved not only Lyndsey and Ian but all the secondary characters too. Looking forward to reading more by Jen.
Butterfly Ops book 3 picks up after Ian is feared dead and the effect that has on everyone left behind, particularly his children and Lyndsey. Believing he is still alive they have to find a way through to the dimension he is held in and convince the Indian tribe to help them. Whilst at the same time Ian is trying to not give in to the princess who is holding him captive, not easy when she keeps appearing as Abby, his dead wife. For Ian to return him he must chose Lyndsey over his wife which is an incredibly hard decision for anyone to make. I’ve really enjoyed this whole trilogy and thoroughly recommend it.
We pick up where we left off at the shocking end of book 2 where it looks like Ian is really dead this time but .... well nothing ever appears to be as it seems for both Lyndsey and Ian as past experience has shown us! There is a lot of emotion in this book that will leave you nibbling your nails with the situations Lyndsey and Ian find them selves in and you cant help but reflect on what you would do in their place. This is the 3rd and final book in the trilogy and I have to say I found I enjoyed it the most as there was loads more going on that kept your emotions and thoughts going all over the show and thats what kept my hooked until the end!
This is book 3 in the Butterfly Ops trilogy. It starts up right where it leaves off on book 2. Must read book 1 and 2. Everybody thinks Ian is dead except his kids. They come to Lyndsey and tell her what they know. Ians daughter was getting messages in her dreams from her mother, who has passed away. Ian was trapped in a paranormal reality with the Butterfly princess. Man this story is a roller coaster. I loved the suspense, romance, mystery and the paranormal. This series kept me on my toes. Great read.
What a great continuation. This one needs tissues. If u were shocked with the end of book 2 u will defintely love this one. I was so in love with these characters. So glad I took the time to read this series. Lindsay thinks Ian is dead and goes through such a lose until she starts hearing voices. Then Ians children come asking Lindsay for help. Lindsay leads the team back to find Ian. Such a great story.

Everyone is convinced that Ian is dead, but when Ian's children convince Lyndsey that there father is alive, it becomes a matter of convincing everyone else. This book is one epic wild ride of a conclusion. I really enjoyed the ride this series took me on and can't wait to see what's next from Jen Doyle.

Butterfly Ops #3 by Jen Doyle concludes the Trilogy.
Lindsey and Ian are still trying to figure out if their spark is going to catch, or just fizzle out. As they get closer to the answers, the danger gets closer to them. Lindsey thinks she can handle what’s being thrown at them, and still win the man of her dreams (for the last 16 years) and then she finds out there’s a legendary princess? And Ian’s LATE, DEAD wife? Hold on tight for a thrilling conclusion and 5 star read.
It took me a minute to be able to read book 3. I was still in shock from book 2. Let's just say the time I took to regroup was so rewarded! Jen Doyle is fresh and funny and so creative with her characters.... you know it's fantasy, but for a while there...you think, why the heck not? Great, fast paced read...I'd love to have more.
After an emotional ending in book 2 Jen Doyle has her work cut out for her to make us whole again. Lyndsey refuses to believe that Ian is really dead and is on quest to find him. Ian must choose between his wife and Lyndsey. A fast paced, action packed seriously emotional conclusion to this crazy trilogy.
Wow, wow, wow. What a great ending to this amazing trilogy. After ending book 2 on that emotional high, this author has amazed us with a perfect finish to a wonderful story. I have to say I did not think that I would love this series as much as I did. Definitely worth the read and highly recommended.
Great ending to an incredible series!! It takes off from where book two ended and it keeps your interest from start to finish. I loved all the supernatural aspects to this story and it was so interesting to read. Sexiness, intrigue and mystery are just some of the perks of this book as well as getting all the answers to the questions you've had from the other books.
Wow, I hated for the series to end but like will all great books it happens. Up against a lot more then she thought. A dead wife /Ancient legendary princess. True Love? Or not? This book has it all Suspense , romance and mystery that will keep you turning the pages... You might even need some tissues, this is a very heart filled book....
I really enjoyed this series and loved that this book just jumped back into how it ended on book 2 and now still a lot going on with Lyndsey and Ian if he is not dead from the last book. Anyways I really enjoyed this book such a good way to put this story together and the emotions I am going though with this book was a little intense and had me tear up.
An amazing conclusion to this three part book that has you on an emotional spiral that leaves you wondering what is real and what is perception. Jen Doyle leads you into a world that questions everything and you find Lyndsays strength as her and Ian struggle to find each other again.
Wow this book was a truly fitting ending to a good trilogy. You really got to pay attention to the book to get all.of the clues as to what is going on. This book is really a page turner and wraps up the trilogy wonderfully.
This book is the conclusion in the three book series,, and OMG!!! This is the best one!! There is so much going on this book that'll keep you hooked and on the edge of your seat!! I found myself constantly holding my breath! This book, this whole series is a MUST READ!!
This is seriously one of the best series I have read in a long time! I was frantic for this book to release to know how the story ended! Was NOT disappointed! Can't wait to see what else this author comes up with!
This book was amazing. What a year jerk. Heads up lots of tissues will be needed. Ian is dead or is he? Ian’s kids pay Lyndsey a visit to convince her that their dad isn’t gone and she starts to believe them and since she wants to find him. So Lyndsey tries to convince Matt to go out and hunt for him. Will Ian be found alive or dead? Will true love win at last?
Warning...you will need 2 boxes of tissues for this one. The pain and grief of Ian’s death is overwhelming. Lyndsey starts hearing a voice in her head saying Ian is not dead and thinks she’s going cray cray. Then Ian’s kids pay her a hilarious and heart wrenching visit telling her that they don’t believe their father is dead because one of the twins had a visit from her dead mother. They ask her to go get their dad. So Lyndsey has to convince Matt that Ian is alive and to go with her to save him. Poor Ian wakes up with his dead wife painting something on his body and has no clue where he is. We meet Tessa. And I love her. There is lots of laughs and fighting and weird weird stuff and I loved it. True love won out.
