Eigentlich liebt Ella Ballett.

I liked this book but I'm not sure what message they were trying to tell. This book is about Ella and her best friend Zoe who do ballet and love it, until the other kids in their class start doing gymnastics. It looks way cooler and to top it off, they are assigned the role of rocks in their upcoming recital. So they quit ballet to do gymnastics. Ella does continue to help teach the younger kids in ballet, but I d didn't like how they just bailed on their friends/teacher in the recital because they felt too good for the role they were assigned. There are definitely some times in these books where the kids use language I don't love and talk about others in ways I don't love, but the heart of the story is generally pretty good. This one was still entertaining but I just don't get the point and didn't love it.

Read this with my daughter! It was a sweet book. Ella is SO dramatic and was definitely giving pre-teen vibes.

Definitely recommend as a read-aloud. Ella was mean and snooty at times, so I’m glad I could talk about that in real time with my daughter. It had an adorable ending.

I loved the little drawings throughout the book. Super cute!

Ella was doing ballet, but then her friend went to gymnastics so she went there too. And she loved it so much more than ballet!

Nice easy read. Would be good for kids beginning chapter books. Deals with very realistic life events for kids like siblings, friendship, and changing interests.

I liked this book more than Double Dare You. It was sad Ella didn’t get the leading part in the ballet concert.

Fun! I love the journal entries, the doodles and Ella's poetry. This one featured concrete and shape poems. There's also a few pages in the back for young readers to try their hand at poetry.

My daughter and I read this book together. She liked it so much she asked to read another book in the series next! It wasn’t my favorite, but it wasn’t bad either. I suppose it’s a “bland” story, but appeals to the age group (and my daughter) because she is interested in and has participated in both sports. What’s important is that the kiddo enjoyed it!

Ella dreams of being the lead in the ballet recital, but she also wants to be taken seriously . She’s in year 5 after all!when mean queen peach takes up gymnastics, and does an amazing backflip in the playground, the school is taken over by the new craze.will Ella backflip on her love of ballet?can she bear to go along with peach and her traitorous BFF Zoe ?
