Bancroft Billionaire Brothers #2

Our Twisted Love Affair

Rate this book
What an amazing and intriguing story about a soul deep love with crushing consequences. -- Amazon ReviewerI’m in love with the wrong girl.

Our fathers were arch enemies in business. Hate was the center of their wicked relationship.

Not only that, but she’s my best friend’s little sister.

The cards couldn’t be more stacked against us.

But it’s irrelevant. We made a pact together.

One I’m counting on to hold steady.

If I wasn’t married at thirty-five, then this beautiful girl would become my bride.

But her career is more important. I’m a billionaire, so I get it.

There’s only so much a man can take, though.

Best of luck to her in her journey.

Fate isn’t so friendly, though. She’s carrying a secret.

My baby.

Our Romeo and Juliet story twists around every bend, but I’ll be damned if my girl isn’t going to get her happily ever after.

I’m a Bancroft, and we get what we want.

When we want it.

All I want is her.

Long Storyline for this Secret Love Story.
Our Twisted Love Affair by author Ali Parker is a seventh-five chapter storyline that focuses on Jack Bancroft and his secret love of five years, Natasha, the daughter of his family’s arch enemy, the Levy’s. Although, he’s best friend is Elijah Levy, older brother of Natasha.
Jack and Nat meet, have sex, vow never to see each other, have sex, vow never to see each other, have sex, etc. for most of the book. Then there are consequences for not keeping their vow. How will both families react?
The story was kind of predictable and didn’t need as many chapters to tell the story. It’s not a bad story...just an unnecessarily long one...an issue that was brought up by reviewers in book one but obviously ignored by the editors.
I am leaving this review for your consideration. Peace.

Now I Remember Why I Stopped Reading Ali Parker Novels

Long and Drawn Out. They were together, then they were apart. Rinse and repeat several more times. Her father was a bully of the worst kind. Epilogue not related to the novel. More of a prelude to the next book.

This is my second Ali Parker book recently and my last. Her books are not edited well and waaay too long for the plot line.

Didnt make it far. Heroine was a pampered princess and both way too unwilling to challenge family. Couldnt take it.

Will The Sins Of A Father Tear Them Apart 🔥♥🔥♥

What an amazing and intriguing story about a soul deep love with crushing consequences. The Bancroft and Levy families have been arch enemies for over two decades but that doesn't stop their children from becoming friends and more. Jack Bancroft and Elijah Levy are best friends since school, now in their thirties but Jack has been keeping a secret from his best friend. Jack is in love with Elijah's little sister, Natasha, and it's not one sided. Natasha has been abroad for two years with her BFF Ashley and now she is back home in NYC proving absence makes the heart fonder. Their relationship is doomed from the start due to the family feud and off course the "bro code" but to stay away from each other is like telling the sun not to rise. They have been on and off then back on so many times it's a given they will always be there for the other. When Nat's father finds out about their affair he sends Elijah to do the dirty work of collecting Nat from Jack's home with a dark message to stay away. More than one relationship is destroyed that fateful night but is it truly time to move on? Just when things are starting to settle, the pain is getting tolerable, a chance meeting destroys all control and the need to have each other one last time is all consuming, consequences be damned. Jack will walk away to protect Nat no matter his pain. Nat wants to be with Jack but how can she chose between love and family when she wants it all. Now Nat had a secret that will destroy her family and take her choice of love or family away from her. Will Nat and Jack pull together to survive their love or is this something else to treat them apart. This story will definitely hold your attention and have you flipping pages like nobody's business. Ali Parker did a fantastic job of bringing the lives of these two families to reality. No cheating, no cliffhanger, his/her POV with steamy scenes that will light you on fire and a much deserved HEA. I just wished their would have been some kind of epilogue about them further down the road. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and liked it so much I one clicked a copy for my favorites collecting.

*****Review of book 2:
3 stars
I purchased a copy of the steamy New York set novel Our Twisted Love Affair (Bancroft Billionaire Brothers Book 2):Jack and Natasha by Ali Parker and this review was given freely.
Poignant with some violence, a fair bit of angst, a manipulative and abusive father, a lot of steamy Alpha dominate scenes and a happy ending.
I liked the continued story line of the Bancroft family, the magnetic romance of Jack and Natasha as well as finally finding out the reason for the feud. Unfortunately, it felt like 50 % of the novel was steamy intimate scenes which overshadowed the story for me.
Socialite Natasha Levy and Jack Bancroft have a five year on again/off again romance in this modern day family feud/ best friend's younger sister romance with a pact to marry when Jack turns 35.
Can be read as a standalone but best if read in series as it follows the evolving lives of the Bancroft family.
18+ recommended for steamy scenes and violence.

***** Review of book 3:
4 stars
I purchased a copy of the steamy Manhattan set novel My First Love Affair (Bancroft Billionaire Brothers Book 3): Mason and Adelaide by Ali Parker and this review was given freely.
Wonderful characters with a fair amount of drama and steamy scenes fill the pages of this rocky romance where emotions run high, differing personalities and views continue to increase Mason's isolation from his family but ultimately the ending is heartwarming.
A hate to love relationships where two abrasive personalities mask loneliness and insecurities but an encounter involving some alcohol and a suddenly heightened awareness of each other leads to a steamy encounter setting the groundwork for wandering biker playboy Mason Bancroft to fall in love with his best friend's little sister's best friend, Sinclair's Coffee Shop owner Adelaide Sinclair.
Can be read as a standalone but best if read in series as it follows the evolving lives of the Bancroft family.
18+ recommended for steamy scenes.

Ok, This was substantially better than the first book. Though I might say it's just under four stars, but I will give it the four stars for the rating. Slight spoiler in the third paragraph, but really, books have HEA, so it's really no surprise. Read at your own risk.

There is at least one misuse of their vs they're that I paid attention to, but overall, much better than the first book. This one didn't seem to drag on as much, but the conversation with Mom was a repeat. Until he told her about the pregnancy. They already had the, "you're in love with the lovey girl" and "I support whatever makes you happy" conversation, So when he went to tell his mom that Natasha was pregnant, they had the exact same conversation. Like, really? We're going to repeat the stuff again?

Overall though, it was a cute story. But this one also left me wanting an actual epilogue of how things turned out with her dad and with their wedding ceremonies and all that.

As I said in my first book review of this series, an epilogue is supposed to be a freaking conclusion. Not a promotion for the next book. Get your epilogue straight! I don't care about Mason and tell Mason's book. I didn't care about this book until this book. Do a section for next book preview. That is acceptable. Giving me a preview of the next book as an epilogue which is supposed to be the conclusion and a wrap-up, is not the proper use of a freaking epilogue! I seriously can't stand it when authors do this! /End rant

This is kind of like a modern Romeo and Juliet. Their fathers were in business together years ago. The father's had a nasty falling out over business and a woman. To be frank, Natasha's father is a champion at holding grudges and pitching fits.
The main and immediate secondary characters are well-developed and mostly likeable. It is interesting to watch the transformation of Nat's brother from the former best friend who brings his father's enforcers to drag Nat away from Jack and beat him up back to a friend and supporter of the couple.
Two things annoyed me. One was the excruciating detail of their sexual interactions. These two seem to love and respect each other, but sex dominates the relationship. I feel the scenes are too detailed and overpower the actual storyline. Second was Natasha constantly going back and forth between wanting to be with Jack and wanting to be Daddy's little princess. Between these two things, I was ready to give up on them, and the book, way before the book was over. It felt like the author didn't have enough actual story to fill a novel, so she had to fill the pages with indecision and sexual detail.
It's an okay book, maybe a beach read, but it isn't what it could be.

Complicated, Confused, Contorted... Natasha and Jack's Story

This is the "Twisted Love Affair" between Jack Bancroft and Natasha Levy. This story of two young 🌱 people who are in love and all the twists and turns and obstacles trying to keep them apart. Natasha's father did not like the Bancroft family and didn't want his children to have anything to do with Jack's family because of something he feels Jack's parents did to him when they were in business together. So this the story of how there relationship developed and all the angst and drama they had to go through.
This was a good read, it was hard to get through some of the chapters because of what they went through at times but I am glad I finally finished this story. Ali Parker is one of my favorite authors I definitely loved the "The Casanova Club". Ali Parker and her brother Weston are two good writers. I highly recommend this Book 📖📚👍. My only wish is I wanted more on their life 🧬 after.

Modern day Romeo & Juliet

I did push through to the end but had to skim read some chapters. Even though it started out with a backstory of their love and drama you continue on dealing with the back and forth I want you, we shouldn’t be together for almost of the book. Not only was it very repetitive and felt like you were never going to get to the end solution, there were a lot of oxymorons and feelings/storylines that don’t match up. There was even a time where a character says one thing and then two paragraphs later contradicts themselves. I liked the idea of the storyline but felt it could be done better and definitely needed to go through an editing process.

Story telling at its best

I admired this story. The creativity meant I had a running cinema screen in my head, picturing the action as I turned/scrolled down the page. That in itself is testament to the author genuinely loving the characters and giving them depth and qualities that were strong enough to carry the story to its conclusion. The pace was consistent and the action was vibrant. The sex was hot and consuming. The hot headed arguments were expertly written with the dual role chapter changing narrative too. I hope we get Elijah’s Story next!

Gotta say, probably one of the best star-crossed lovers book I've read. I liked that Jack and Nat only had one moment of miscommunication and not repeated ones like a lot of similar books will have. Lots of steamy parts that were done so well. It was nice to see the other Bancroft brothers, but I did find it weird that Grayson was mentioned multiple times for family dinners etc. but there was no mention of Hannah with the family. It would have been nice to see some interactions with her and Nat. Fingers crossed for the next book.

It's better than the first book. Good storyline, likable characters except the brother did her dirty, and her dad is a nut. I don't know if it was bad editing, but they had 2 last nights together back to back, which didn't make sense, and a few other things were repetitive, too. I don't understand that the epilogue has nothing to do with the story but is the first chapter of the next book. Idk if I'm gonna make it thru the whole series, but I want to know Mason's story, which is next, so I'm giving it a go.

Forbidden love

What do you do when you have fallen in love with your best friends younger sister, but making matters worse, her father hates your entire family?
Jack had been friends with Elijah for as long as he could remember, and although neither parent approved, they did not stop the friendship. But as they got older Jack started to notice his sister Natasha more...and she noticed him. For years they "hid" their relationship from both families, but then the unexpected happens....

Brilliant

Another brilliant story by Ali.
Really loved the storyline in this book.
Loved the characters and their connections.
Geez it took Nat and Jack long enough to get to their HEA and so glad they got there eventually.
What a nasty pig of a man Wayne was and so pleased that Jack put him in his place.
Happy to see Jack and Elijah back friends and that Elijah was going to make a move on Ashley.
Great story well worth reading.

Nat and Jack were two characters that loved to hate and hated to love. I loved Jack from book #1, but fell deeper in love during his love affair with Nat. Natasha, however, I found myself resenting. I wished that she would tell her father to shove it, especially after what he did to Jack. I loved the ending and wished I could have had an extended epilogue! I'm excited to read about my man Mason next!

Jack and Natasha have known each other for a long time. She is his best friend's sister and an enemy of the family according to their father! Their love is already stacked against them in the eyes of their families, but he is captivated by this woman and to top it off she's carrying a secret! Will they be able to pull off their plan? This story draws your attention and pulls you in right from the start. I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.

Family Feud

Romeo and Juliet. Hatfield and the McCoy's.
I think a mean, hateful, foul tempered Dad and a man and women in love. The fighting and yelling and disagreements took up a majority of the book. But glad to see our couple came out ahead and found their happily ever after.

Twisted Love Affair 2?

I really enjoyed this story of Jack and Nat. I wanted to yell at her wacko Father about a hundred times! Great story line but I want more now. There's the weddings, the pregnancy, Elijah and Ashleys story, and so much more. So, I'm waiting impatiently for book 2.😉

Perfect

Really enjoyed the characters. Natasha and Jack are in a forbidden love due to a feud between their fathers. No matter how many times they walk away and end the relationship, they can’t stay away from each other. The characters are both really likable and are so good together. Well worth the read, well written and developed.

Not a very bright woman.

The story would have been so much better had Natasha - who was supposed to be 30 with a college education- acted like she had a brain. Seriously, who let’s their father dictate their life if they are financially independent? Did not get this storyline at all.

The writing and the sex scenes saved this most ridiculous storyline… She is 30 years old and her father has dictated her entire life?!?? She couldn’t be with the man she loved? He sent her away for two years and then another year? At 30 years old? Yeah I kept reading and kept reading because there was something of a passionate love story that drew me in..

Too lengthy

Firstly the obvious, the book was just too lengthy by approx 200 odd pages
Secondly, if the heroine knew what kind of person her dad was, why go through the lengths to kill your happiness for him? Also repeatedly she has been mentioned as someone strong, but no actions to back it.

twisted Love

I really loved this story, but what I did not like was the repetition!! I would read a paragraph think I was going to the next only to reread what I had just read. This was not the case in the first book so I’m not sure if that was the author or kindle!!! However I would 100% recommend this book.

Twisted Parents

This is my second book in this series. The main characters have super hot chemistry and really love each other. But I don't understand why they waited so long before they told her father to get over it! He was just a rich ass*ole!
Can't wait to read the next book.

Good second book, editing really bad

Main characters took a while to grow backbones but eventually got their happily ever after. A new editor MUST go through this book. Bad word tense, inconsistent description of characters, incorrect pronouns, a mess, and distracts from story.
