Every year I try to read the Bible in full. This year, I’m reading from the she reads truth Bible in conjunction with the Bible recap 365 chronological plan.
My second time reading through the Bible chronologically and I learned just as much as the first time around! I will never get tired of reading God’s Word 💜
In 2020 when the pandemic hit I felt God say in my heart to quit all your bible studies and go back to the beginning. I was doing an online study, a women’s church study and a study on my own. Not boasting, just stating facts.
I knew exactly what He meant.
I had a brand new Bible with wide empty margins from my Mr. That held a special place in my heart with fresh clean pages from She Reads Truth, so I pulled it out and went to Genesis 1.
I felt in my spirit I was to do ONLY one chapter a day and to then do some sort of art in the margin to help me remember. To dig in with First 5 bible studies that correlated and the Dr. Tony Evan’s Commentary.
I was NOT an artist, crappy handwriting and crappy stick figures summed up my artistic abilities ar that time. But I was obedient and began that same day July 18, 2020. I’ve been faithful and God has been so good to me. I’ve learned a ton even though I’ve read the Bible in its entirety several times.
Today, I finished, Revelation 22, with only one chapter a day and never missing. I’ve grown so much in the Lord and this bible will forever be special to me but not as special as my relationship with Jesus. He is my very best friend!
This was my second time through the entire Bible and I continually learn and expand in my faith thanks to it.
This version of the Bible is not only beautiful with its illustrations and cover, but it also includes excellent guides and reading tools to get the most out of your understanding of God's word and the church's history and its base that is rooted in the Jewish faith. Plus the margins and font in this book allow me to highlight and add notes about my favorite passages which is wonderful!
Also shout-out to 'The Bible In A Year' podcast (which actually took me a little under a year to complete 😉) for helping to guide me through my reading this time around.
"Seek the Lord while he may be found. Call on him while he is near." In uncertain evil days, the Lord is near. His voice and wisdom is available. "Though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the ruler yet."
I used the reading plan found at totheword.com, but it's really not about anything I've done. Jesus paid it all.
I feel accomplished, I’ve never spent more time with God than in the last month. And also humbled. Reading holistically in a month has challenged discipline and has shown how big God’s character is and how little I actually know.
I’ve used this bible for several years. I love it so much! I enjoy this translation, like that it has space for notes because I like writing in my Bible, and benefit from the included throughout.
While the Bible is not a book that is ever truly done being read, I have read it the whole thing cover to cover this year. Now time to dive in deep and truly understand the character of my Lord.
God’s word is always good 🤍 The CBS version makes it easy to read the Bible front to back and the devotionals within the book are a nice edition for women. It has decent sized margins for notes. The pages are pretty thin for highlighting but I did that anyways and didn’t have too big of an issue for bleeding through. This is a good edition for just reading through however, I think the CBJ does a better job with a study version
I took the challenge to read the entire bible in 30 days! This version made it easy to understand what I as reading. Not to mention that the Bible is very pretty.
