The best, BEST bible study I have ever done!
In 2020 when the pandemic hit I felt God say in my heart to quit all your bible studies and go back to the beginning. I was doing an online study, a women’s church study and a study on my own. Not boasting, just stating facts.
I knew exactly what He meant.
I had a brand new Bible with wide empty margins from my Mr. That held a special place in my heart with fresh clean pages from She Reads Truth, so I pulled it out and went to Genesis 1.
I felt in my spirit I was to do ONLY one chapter a day and to then do some sort of art in the margin to help me remember. To dig in with First 5 bible studies that correlated and the Dr. Tony Evan’s Commentary.
I was NOT an artist, crappy handwriting and crappy stick figures summed up my artistic abilities ar that time. But I was obedient and began that same day July 18, 2020. I’ve been faithful and God has been so good to me. I’ve learned a ton even though I’ve read the Bible in its entirety several times.
Today, I finished, Revelation 22, with only one chapter a day and never missing. I’ve grown so much in the Lord and this bible will forever be special to me but not as special as my relationship with Jesus. He is my very best friend!

Heavy on application and less on interpretation, it’s not a bad commentary. It would probably be disappointing for seminary students & those seeking serious biblical insight.

I Thank GOD that HE Uses Dr. Evans to Explain, Break Down and Simplify Hard to read Books of the Bible like: Revelation, Zechariah and even other Prophecy Books like The Book of Daniel..
This Commentary is for those of us who are trying to Grow Daily in THE WORD. But, is in Need of a Well Disciplined and Trained Teacher to Break Things Down into simple layman's Terms..

This is a great commentary book to read along as you study the Bible. This books gives so much clarity of breaking down verses in the Bible for better understanding. Thank you Dr. Tony Evans for pouring all your years of studying God’s Word into this book to help others understand the Word of God. The Holy Spirt truly inspired you to write this book.

I have not read this cover to cover but read it often to reference questions or expand on verses. It is phenomenal!! Tony has so much wisdom and insight that brings so much to the table. It makes me look at verses with different perspectives That I would have never came to on my own. This is a must for your daily devotions!!

A few months ago I started pairing this commentary with the daily reading guide from The Bible Project. I'm fnding it to be an informative, encouraging and practical aid in understanding and applying what I read each day. I look forward to starting the new year's reading plan with the commentary in hand from Genesis on.

Awesome read
This book has helped me tremendously in bringing clarity when I study the Word. The simplicity and straightforward explanations can help anyone whether a beginner, intermediate or advanced learner. Highly recommend, you can never finish reading, studying or understanding the entire Bible but having this book is certainly a great help.

Best bible commentary out there. Love it! Easy to read and very understandable. He talks to you like you're a friend, and does not hold back with the honesty. I agree with what he says, and have not seen anything unbiblical or bizarre in any of the notes I have read. Explains each verse in detail. Fantastic resource.

This commentary was very helpful in examining the word of God in a language which was both relatable and understandable. It was well written and very easy to navigate. I would recommend for anyone wishing to dig deeper into the word.

Easy to understand
A great compliment to The Tony Evans Study Bible. Glad The Lord lead to purchase these two on a day my wife wanted to go to Barnes and Noble and I trudged along unwillingly, but went directly to the Bible section and these two leaped out at me.
