This is Courtney West’s first book and let me tell you she killed!! It is so good! Olivia is her badass FMC she takes no shit and calls like she sees it! Then you have Olivia’s guys and ugh talk about hot, and the sexy time fan me of😈

Olivia is the alpha of her pack. Hers is the pack to go to when you need help. When her mates show up looking for help her life begins to change. This is a good start to a new series. I liked the characters and look forward to reading more.

The book is good
The intimate scenes are a little crudely worded lol and the prologue throws off the hook a bit. However, besides all of that which really isn't much it is awesome but the for my tastes I think I will enjoy daughter of death better lmao but that's just me

Wow this is the first book ive read from this author and i loved it. I couldn't put it down and i can't wait to see what's next in this series and any other series this author brings out. I will definitely be recommending it to friends.

Really enjoyed this!!
My favorite part of the book was the girl power!! It showed the strength that a girl posses and that not even a guy or guys in her case can take it away!!
The excerpt of Deaths Daughter at the end was great. Can’t wait for that book to come out!!

This was the first book by Courtney West. It was incredible. I couldn't put the book down. The story was well written and the characters were very well developed.
Olivia is a tough wolf shifter alpha with a large pack to take care of as well as a job protecting other shifter packs from Rogues. When a group of five men show up at her door for help she not only helps them but finds her mates in all five of them.
The sexy times are HOT and the story keeps you interested. I can't wait to read more from Ms West.

This is a brilliant introduction to a new author. I had the pleasure of reading this before release as a beta, "WOW" I got into this book so fast I forgot what I was doing. This is a fairly fast burner. Looking forward to more books comeing from this Author.

This is Courtney West’s first book and it is awesome. Olivia is a badass Alpha who stays true to who she is the whole book. She isn’t afraid to be who she is. The guys are all different and accept her as their Alpha. Great character development and story line. I can’t wait for more.

Amazing!!!
First book I've read from this author and loveD it . It was so nice seeing strong alpha female shifters for once. Olivia was an absolute bada$$. I had to laugh so many times with some of the stuff she said and her interactions with other people. This book is a definite must read!!! Can't wait for Perry's book.

I was liking the book so far. I love the female power and Olivia is such a cool chick. BUT I really would like for authors to say if they have M/M because by the time I’m halfway to the story I just get annoyed. If you don’t mind it, then give it a try. The book has a good story line and a cool MC.

No depth
For an erotica, I call it a good read. For a romance? It borderline fails, the only reason why is there is no depth and really no conflict. Courtney leaves out a lot of details that would make it great, but what we do have is a strong beginning with a heroine that is alpha personified. She is alpha to an almost all female pack, which is what initially drew me in. Finally! A girl saves the day!
There are a lot of comma splices, so many it becomes distracting and annoying. The potential for further usurping the North American council for their negligence in the rogue situation is lost. As soon as they bring the guys into their pack, it's as if the rogue pack isn't much of a situation because she and her pack are practically assassin's who specialize in rogue extermination. It all fills.... Well, it's unfulfilling. The scars on the men? No backstory, even though some are particularly noted as "painful". They have families that are never introduced, aside from one, but it explains the situation in little detail.
There is a hint of m/m encounters, but nothing sexual. I wish it wasn't in there at all, mostly because what's the point? I think it was slapped on there in a whim and for no other reason than to say there's a bit of m/m. Two kisses are not enough to be labeled as m/m. I'm not sure if the book is, but that is beside the point. Don't throw stuff in it you aren't willing to set time aside to explore it. Same goes for the demon possession. I'm sure it was more significant than how was played.
I read the whole book easily, so the story is worth borrowing. If the previously stated complaints won't bother you, give it a go.

Rogue State is a stand alone RH and the first in this series from the debut author.
What I liked about this book is the female empowerment. Olivia is one of the youngest and powerful alpha with the biggest pack in their area which consists primarily of women. As the story says, she was the one they call upon to deal with rogues. So, there was a lot kick ass moments on this book. There was insta-attraction within Olivia and her guys and it was expected since they are shifters. And yes, there was a lot of steamy scenes.
I would have wanted to have this story expanded in a way that features more of the guys backstory, even Olivia. I wanted to get to know them better. There were some parts that it was told through certain guys POV, but I still feel like we could have explore it more.

Love the characters.
I like the premise of this story. A strong alpha female running her own pack. The character building is good but I found the interactions between characters to be less realisgic which unfortunately drew me out of the story. I think if it could be reworked to smooth those out then this would be an awesome book. I may have too high of standards though.

Not a bad read
I was looking for a little more depth in the characters and the book seemed kind of rushed like there should have been more to it...that being said I did enjoy the reading it just wish I could have connected with it more..

good story
I want more of these characters. This book is fast paced from the start. My only complaint is since it’s a short story you don’t get a lot of background on the characters but other then that i really enjoyed reading this book.

This book was so good. It’s true women kick butt in any form. Such a fast paced read. The story flows from page to page I couldn’t put it down.
