I am unsure how this has as many positive reviews as it does. It was terribly disjointed; lacked any likeable characters; was devoid of humour of any kind and took 40% of the book before anything happened.

I actually feel more stupid for reading it in it's entirety. Even the title makes no sense!

This is a typical caper, or as they used to call it, a farce, and would have worked much better as a screen play rather than a book. As a reader I found the writing style pretty non-existent and it did little to draw me in I'm sorry to say. Especially as this novel has many great reviews. Maybe it's because I've done a couple of writing courses myself. Sometimes a little knowledge about a craft can make the faults stand out more, or maybe I'm just hard to please -it's been said before!
What I did like about this book was the way the author Artemis Root (I'm guessing a pen mane) ties everything up at the end and gives a brief update on the main characters - where they are now, who they are with, etc. which is always a positive for me as I hate being left up in the air as a reader, which many novelists do.
I noticed this title has been self published, which is a brave thing to do especially in this currently competitive world. But the author has sold many copies, and good on him. It gives me encouragement to maybe do the same - one day.

Absolutely hilarious story.

The characters in here are so well written, but there are enough turns to keep you guessing how their lives can be resolved as you want them to be.

There are so many funny quotes I'd like to put here but Amazon keep on making me change my reviews until there's so little of the original text that it loses context.

This one just crept up on me. Again, without context you may not laugh,
"Jason had never quite grasped the subtle concept of using childhood nicknames as an adult weapon, so just blurted out, ‘F### off, Conrad, you ### ####!’" It made me laugh.

The only quote that won't get picked up is this one ‘It’s her classic British tasting menu!’ enthused the more pasty- faced accountant. ‘Where did she learn her craft?’ wondered Ford. ‘Lilliput?!’

Now I'm on to the final book I can find. Please write more Mr Root.

This is not a good book. Not sure how it was recommended. Someone on between the covers. Nothing to recommend it. Rubbish one dimensional characters. No real plot. But the worst failure is the attempt at comedy which was shocking. It was like something a teenager would write to show off to their mates. It was obvious and crude and superficial. Don't waste your time or money!!

Unfortunately I didn't enjoy this book at all as I found all of the main characters juvenile idiots. There were several funny lines but as they spun out of the imbecile conversations, they just weren't that humorous.

What a hoot! The story kept me coming back and I really enjoyed it. The second half was “madcap” funny and silly and amusing. I’m always a sucker for a great ending! I would recommend this funny little story.

Never before have I read a book with so many obnoxious and unlikable characters. Jason, Nina, Blake, Conrad, to name a few. But I did read it to the end because I wanted to know what happened to Ford.

A relatively amusing read with a few laugh out loud lines. Didn’t particularly warm to any of the characters. Grew to really hate one of them and not in a good way. Would work better as a screenplay
