This is a fast paced gangland crime thriller set in Glasgow.
Kerry is very comfortable after the drug bust but when an old friend of her fathers contacts her, she feels it’s only fair to listen to what he has to say.
Wolfie is trying to shift some diamonds following a bank job and due to falling out with the gang who were part of it with him, needs them gone, fast.
Kerry agrees to help but soon realises she’s just stepped in to a whole heap of trouble.
With Russians wanting their diamonds back and also some very incriminating video footage, there’s a race against time to stay one step ahead.
This is a gripping crime thriller that had me hooked throughout.
Thanks to Quercus Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

Gritty, edgy with a RELENTLESS pace. Despite myself I can't help but care about all the members of this gangland family. Kerry Casey is trying to steer them in to legitimate businesses, but somehow gets deeper and deeper in to trouble. Belt up for an exciting rollercoaster of a read.

I am a HUGE fan of this series and was looking forward to getting stuck into this latest instalment. This time around Kerry and her crew are recovering from their latest situation (all covered in Book 2) and we meet Hannah who is fresh out of prison. Her Father is the infamous William ‘Wolfie’ Wolfe and he needs help. He turns to the Casey’s and as usual Kerry cannot let an opportunity pass her by.

This leads to dangerous situations with a number of enemies and Kerry and her trusty gang do everything they can to not only help Wolfie but help Kerry gain leverage with the situation. If you haven’t read the previous books I really would suggest doing that as not only are they great books but they give you a real insight into everybody involved.

This latest book had plenty of action and I was glad we got to see what happened with Vic, however one main character that was noticeably absent was Vinny. Vinny is a copper that is undercover who knows where and by the end of the book I was just as keen as Kerry to find out where he is and what has happened with him. I read this in two sittings and absolutely LOVED it. A fabulous series and I cannot wait to read the next one!

I read Fight Back by this author so I was looking forward to reading End Game. I wasn’t disappointed as it was a great read.

Kerry is trying hard to build up her business. However Danny asks her to help one of her dads friends. She gets more than she bargains for when she agrees.

I do love a well written gangland thriller. This was fast paced with great characters. Am loving this series.

Well i looked forward to this book and the author has not disppointed me.Kerry Casey is trying so hard to turn the business around and with the love and support of the people around her she hopes her father would be proud of what she has so far accomplished. When Danny tells Kerry of an old pal of her dad's that needs help she feels unsure what to make of it all and after the last battle they fought feels that enough has happened. Then Sharon gets word from Vic to say he is in prison in spain, kerry sets her lawyers onto it as vic was helping them against his bosses and won't leave him behind. This book has so much going on and grips you from the start to the end and thank you Anna Smith for an AMAZING book.5*

I've read other books in the Kerry Casey series, but I felt this one was by far the best.
A diamond heist engineered by Wolfie, an old friend of Kerry's father, becomes a target when the people Wolfie brought in to help with the heist believe they have been turned over. Kerry and the Casey firm become involved from loyalty to her father's friend and when it appears Wolfie has lifted something in addition to diamonds from one of the strongboxes, giving Kerry the opportunity to get revenge on someone that made her unhappy many years ago which prompted her to give up her promising legal career and become more involved in the family firm.
One big problem with these items that Kerry can use to her advantage is that they belong to the Russians. And they want them back...

Hannah, Wolfie's daughter- after being released from prison, has a separate agenda for payback on some people too - for different reasons and becomes involved with the Caseys via her father.

There's some great characters in this book and the story is fast-paced and gripping.
This would have been a 5 star read for me, had it not been for the standard reference to someone dying from cancer a third of the way in. This always spoils things as it's usually this or one other condition that's used in books referencing someone's demise, which isn't very pleasant for anyone with 1st or 2nd hand experience to be continuously reminded in 90% of books they read.
But apart from this and a few errors, it was a really good read.

Plot
Our protagonist, Kerry Casey finds herself unwittingly at the middle of a diamond heist with Russians on the war path. Her right-hand man (woman) has had her man thrown in gaol and the daughter of a man she is protecting goes on a killing spree. Add some government corruption and you pretty much have the plot.

Writing Style
Easy, flowing, short sentences. Modern, up-to-date. No excess adjectives or verbage. Pretty much ideal.

Point of View/Voice
Written in the 3rd Person / Past Tense (standard convention)

Critique
This is the 3rd of the series of 4. This one is a little different in that there is virtually no misandry (well, an undertone but its not in your face like the previous two were). It still contained unrealistic feminist control storyline(s) but I kinda liked it.

This instalment had a number of different elements all running at the same time. Whereas I accept it does take some skill to make that happen in a symbiotic way, I thought they came about in a very clumsy manner.

The depth of the characters was very good as was the backstory behind everything that was presented. Although, as with the previous books, the various lines were closed in a slightly unsatisfactory manner.

Of course, I will now have to read the 4th and final chapter of the Kerry Casey series, and I am looking forward to it …

Kerry Casey is the head of a crime family after her brother was murdered. She wants to run the business as legitimate.

(Wolfie) William Wolfe is one of her dad's old adversary's in the crime game when he contacts her with a lucrative opportunity she gives it some serious thought. He was the brains behind a big London robbery which involved millions of pounds of yellow diamonds among other jewels, plus paperwork and photos that people unknown to her are desperate to get their hands on.

Hannah, Wolfie's daughter is due out of prison any day she received 6 years for murdering one of the thugs that blew her mother up in her car, the other is still out there and she seeks revenge.

This book is full of revenge, blackmail, and life as a gang member. It is a rollercoaster that is fast and exciting. Thoroughly worth 5 stars and more.

Book three in the Kerry Casey series was eagerly awaited and did not disappoint. Kerry is the head of a crime family, a title inherited when her brother was murdered and she is trying to run the family business as legitimate. When an old acquaintance of her father contacts her for help, she is drawn into a world of blackmail and revenge. I loved the ending and the character development, as well as the Glasgow setting. This book is beautifully crafted and well written by Anna Smith and I highly recommend starting with the first book in the series for background. Thanks to Net Galley and Quercus books for my ARC. A 5* read.

If you love a good Gangster book then this is one you need to pick up, the only downside for me was I’d guessed the ending and didn’t like one of the characters all that much.

Hannah has done her time and is now ready to be reunited with her Dad, but when he doesn’t turn up to meet her as the prison gates open, she guesses something must be wrong.

Kerry is ready to give up a life of crime after her last heist, but a call from her dad’s old mate gives her cause to re-think that. Is this an easy job, will it be the last job?

We follow the story with plots and twists and a cliffhanger of an ending!

Amazing read

Can not wait for the next book in this series, Kerry goes from one problem to the next and you don't see then coming , this book has ended with you wanting to know what is going to happen, what a rollercoaster of a story line , a real edge of your seat series
Just when you think Kerry can get her dream life it moves just that but further away from her , a highly recommend read start with the first in the series , I didn't think any story could come close to the Rosie Gilmore series I was wrong the character of Kerry Casey is just as strong if not a stronger character well done Anna Smith 10/10 and 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars ☺

Good read

I enjoyed reading this book immensely but felt totally frustrated with the ending, a great build up and then no explanation as to what happened. To many loose ends and that's why I only awarded it 3 stars , the diamonds, Alex, Hannah, joey, the dvd,s...no real explanation. Especially for a first time reader who has no intention of collecting the series! I also think almost a year is far to long to wait for the next installment, most reader's Will have long moved on by then and Will find it hard to remember the characters and the plot. Id still recommend Anna Smith to anyone who enjoys a good Gangster thriller though. Happy Easter.

I realised while reading this that it is part of a series, so I guess I need to get myself the rest of them!
Kerry Casey finds herself torn between what she should do and what is right but ultimately takes her in her Dad’s old friend and his daughter to protect them. This lady is all about family and loyalty which really made me like her all the more. A fantastic read with lots of twists and a fantastic cliffhanger.

Being from Glasgow myself born and raised I really loved this book, I have had many a night and liquid lunch in The Counting House, where our boys Cal and Tahir meet the London crew and it all came to life for me. And yes it really is that busy all of the time lol.

Wow another brilliant read from Anna in the Kerry Casey series. This is again a fast paced Gangland thriller that you won’t want to put down. In this book Kerry gets involved in a diamond heist that her crew weren’t even part of. One of her Dad’s old friends comes to Kerry for help and Kerry is surprised to find DVDs and photos in amongst the diamonds that will help her get payback on a QC she had dealings with in her lawyer days. This book will definitely leave you wanting more with the cliffhanger ending.

Cliffhanger

Again Anna pulls all the stops out for tge nrxt installment on the Casey crew. After thr successful hijacking if the truck full of drugs, Kerry is happy to go legit. There isn't just her to think she has the little life growing inside of her. Vinny back undercover whi knows when she will see him next.
All us good in the hood till an old friend if her dad needs a favour. Can Kerry go back in her word? Does she need the hassle of the gangster life or is the pull of life in the sun the better offer..

Thank you net galley and Quercus for allowing me this ARC.

This is my kind of book, right up my strret, gangsters crime and violence. This has everything you want from a crime novel.
I have read Anna's books before but none from this series, which I am gutted about as I want to know the Casey's history and how Kerry has got to where she is.

I have now brought the others in the series Blood Feud and fight back just disappointed I didn't start from book 1.

5 out of 5 from me, great read. Roll on book 4

Book 3

Very good book but not as strong a story of previous two. Love her female characters, strong women with enough compassion, wit and vulnerability. As usual though, book finishes with starter for next book

A really interesting and gripping read that was well paced. I really enjoyed the little bit of romance in this one and found it hard to put down. It ended on a cliff hanger and left me wanting to read the next one that's due out I believe later this year 2020 at the time of writing this review.

Not sure why but I thought this book would end the story. But no, not at all, there is still much more to come.
It's a bit far fetched but after all it is fiction. Enjoyable light reading.
