Soon Dre’s attraction, money, and shady past bring more problems than Mo is prepared for. Compromising positions cause her world to begin to crumble. She’s worked hard and sacrificed a lot to get to where she is, but will her family, friends, and relationship still be standing when it all falls down?

Author Jennifer Robinson does it again! It took Monica a while to grow on me, but that was one of the things that made this book so good, the character development and feeling as if you were right there in the story. I also loved how she tackled Mental Illness. It’s such a taboo topic in the African-American community but I’m happy to see more authors discuss is and Jennifer hits every button with just the right push. Read this book!!!
This story had me enthralled with it. Monique looked like the bad person, especially with her sister. I swore Nick could do no wrong until towards the end. I loved the hot tension between Dre and Monique. Who doesn't love a happy ending?
This book was well written enough. Very few editing issues, good story progression, and entertaining storyline. I do think there were a few holes in the story and some character progression that didn’t quite make sense, but not a big deal. My main issue was that I just didn’t like a single character in this book. Maybe that was the point, but no one had any redeemable qualities. It’s hard to read a romance when you don’t want anyone to end up in love and happy. 1 star off for me just plain not liking the people in the story, but I’d read this author again.
