Lucifer has gone through more than he ever imagined he could go through in the last year and he can’t wait for the game to be finished. When it started, he figured he’d end up with a cool story and seven months of hot sex under his belt, but nothing turned out like he thought it would.
Now he’s just trying to get to the end. But as luck would have it, even that can’t go smoothly.
Enter Ashley Benjamin.
She’s rich, spoiled, and is ready to claim Luc as her grand prize. She doesn’t know how to take no for an answer, but in the business world, that is a good thing. Only problem is, what works in business, has nothing to do with true love, and Ashley refuses to come in second place.
L J lives on the Jersey Shore with her husband, four kids, two cats, and an inherited dog from hell (a.k.a. the sewer gremlin). Though writing has always been her first passion, she got a degree in psychological counseling and worked in the mental health field for awhile, which she finds very helpful in dealing with her crazy family. She is a lover of all different types of music and books, switching between genres so wildly it sometimes makes people wonder if she has multiple personalities. She is most likely to be found writing romance stories of all kinds (contemporary, erotic, new adult, young adult, fantasy, paranormal, etc.) . When she's not writing, she prefers to spend her time reading, taking photos, watching Doctor Who or Supernatural, or spending time with her family. She loves to hear from readers so visit her on Facebook at www.facebook.com/AuthorLJBaker or check out her website at www.lj-baker.com
Let's open with a reminder of the premise of the series:
"When they started, it seemed so easy and straightforward. Seven sins, seven girls, and seven months. One month per girl and he would hopefully find his true love. If not, he’d have a good time getting to know some new women. All he had to lose was seven months of his time, which to the devil, whose lifespan was eternal, was practically nothing."
After binging the series, this both is and isn't the ending I anticipated. I mean, yes, foreshadowing told part of it, frequently. (Vague because I don't want to spoil anything). And that thing that I hoped would happen so I didn't need to write a sad emoji laden email to the author? It happened, so yay for that.
The series explores family, for good and bad, romance, lust (oh Lucifer does it), drama, and more. While the finale wraps up loose ends nicely, I still don't want to say goodbye to the characters yet. Woe. Brava to the author for creating a world that I so enjoyed. Based on her author notes, I hope she finds her peace.
