Jennifer loves reading and writing clean romance. She believes that happily ever after is not just for stories. Jennifer enjoys interior design, rollerblading, clogging, jogging, and chocolate. In Jennifer’s opinion there are few ills that can’t be solved with a warm brownie and scoop of vanilla-bean ice cream. Jennifer grew up in rural Alabama and loved living in a town where “everybody knows everybody.” Her love for writing began as a young teenager when she wrote stories for her high school English teacher to critique. Jennifer has a BA in English and Social Sciences from Brigham Young University Hawaii where she served as Miss BYU Hawaii. Before becoming an author, she worked as the owner and editor of a monthly newspaper named The Senior Times. She now lives in the Rocky Mountains with her family and spends her time writing and doing all of the wonderful things that make up the life of a busy wife and mother.
Tate has hired McKenna to investigate the woman he is thinking of asking to marry him. Only even before he gets her report he knows it's not going to work out. Then Destiny finds him kissing McKenna who is at the ranch as his pretend cousin. One thing leads to another and McKenna breaks her hand punching Destiny for the things she says! Fast forward two years and McKenna's PI business is busy, no thanks to Destiny and her father! She has not seen Tate during this time and wants to keep it that way. Only it seems her brother's wedding is going to break her streak. Then she gets an email asking for her help with a huge retainer attached to it. When she finds out who, and what it's about, she can't not take the case! So who is the mystery person and why do they need her help so desperately? What happens will truly surprise you! Read this great story by Jennifer Youngblood to find out what happens!
Suspense, romance, up and down emotions, and danger in this story. I thought McKenna and Tate seemed somewhat immature for their ages. When Tate gets angry and runs out of the house, I knew that was going to backfire on him. Lucky for him that the sheriff and McKenna figure out who the killer was and save the day. I didn't care for the scene where McKenna drinks 3 glasses of champagne despite knowing she can't hold her liquor. She is lucky that Tate is the one who found her and ignored her drunken attentions. The ending was good and her family is something else. I really liked her grandmother.
Great story, the suspense and intrigue about the missing pieces of the puzzle. The fact that one quarter back had been killed in a freak accident and then another had been shoved down a flight of stairs and in a coma and the third had been receiving emails that threatened his life. The security one hired only to fall in love and then try to save him. This is a book worth reading to fill in all the blanks and find out who won the battle. This was a Free read and a great one. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill
This is my first book by Jennifer Youngblood and even though the story had good pacing and flowed well, the two main characters Tate and Mckenna acted like hot headed spoiled brats more than adults working through a dangerous situation which was in my opinion, unbelievable. I also knew who the stalker was by the middle of the book. I did like that this author could write about attraction and passion and keep the story clean. So, not a great story but I will try another one as I enjoy clean romance.
Heart pounding suspense and swoon worthy romance. That’s about as good as it can get. Tate is hot headed, stubborn, and lovable. Just like a lot of people I know. McKenna is feisty, smart, and lovable. Just like a lot of people I know. This book pretty much has it all! A fun, intense, clean story.
I love Jennifer Youngblood. I loved this book, also. McKenna and Tate are having problems coming together...one is pursuing, the other resisting. Their interaction has a lot of humor; a lot of arguments; a lot of suspense; and of course, romance. I love it. A fun read for anyone.
An intense thriller that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. This story is about a stalker who is targeting football players who are perceived as romantic players by the media. The P.I. who is hired to protect the recent player being stalked also has some romantic history with him making the story a very interesting read.
Language: G+ (0+ swears, 0+ "f"); Mature Content: PG13+ (drunk behavior); Violence: PG+ I stopped reading when Youngblood used the main character getting drunk as a way to progress the story in the second chapter. The story isn't bad, but I didn't find the main characters and their motivations interesting enough to keep reading.
Suspense and romance, along with emotional ups and downs abound. Even though I didn't really like McKenna's displays of her lack of self control I still enjoyed the chase for a stalker. Though McKenna took on the job of bodyguard without the qualifications I guess all's well that ends well.
Tate and McKenna are a couple who just didn't know it until it was almost too late. Their coming to realize how they feel for each other while McKenna tries to keep Tate safe from a crazy stalker and find out who it is makes a great suspenseful, clean romance!
This is a outstanding and refreshing thrilling romance with charming and sassy characters that will steal your heart and make you believe in true love again.
I love the Georgia Patriot stories and this is among the best of them! You will laugh and love and have such a time because Ms. Youngblood definitely knows how to hold your attention and wring your emotions!
This was another great book in the patriot series. Lots of action, a little mystery, and some fiery tempers lead to a great read. Who do you think the stalker is?
This is a really good book. It has pockets of humor!!! But, I really enjoyed how MacKenna and Tate cover up their feelings for each other by arguing and trying to act as if they're not interested in each other, especially Mckenna
This is a great book. It keeps you on your toes not knowing what will happen next. I like a book like this where I am constantly trying to figure it out. What a joy to read.
This is a great story with wonderful warm characters, lots of fun and laughter, mystery and suspense tossed in, make this a great read for the beach, infront of a warm fire, anywhere. Don't miss it.
I enjoyed the story. It was a easy to figure out but, very entertaining. I'm like a bit more action and conflict. I like more twists and turns. The characters were a little boring.
This is another fun story in the series. I loved the banter and the chemistry between these two. There was m, suspense and a lot of sweet, clean romance.
Enter a psychotic killer, a new detective agency hired to protect a pro quarter back and you have a riveting story to keep you turning pages to the end.
This was a very clean sweet light-hearted romance. The character for lovable, the editing was great, and this was a very enjoyable book. It's nice finding another clean author.
