About the author

“Although I absolutely love the challenge of teaching young minds, I am very excited that my writing continues to take me to new places. Who knows where the next creative adventure will lead.”

Growing up in an isolated area of the Texas Gulf Coast, Brandy Alexander found adventure, entertainment and friendship within the pages of her many books. When she wasn’t swimming, exploring or pretending to be a teacher, she spent days at a time lost in the fictional world of religious paranormal fantasy. Having spent so many years as a voracious reader, she has been heavily influenced by writers that include Frank E. Peretti, Ted Dekker, C.S. Lewis, Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LaHaye.

Graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Secondary Education, she began her teaching career in Art and Theatre and eventually added English Language Arts, Reading and Writing to her list of subjects taught. It was a natural extension of her creative talents when she decided to write her first novel.

Despite her professional pursuits, Brandy is a devoted Christian who loves spoiling her husband and son with gourmet meals when she isn’t actively writing her next novel.

Loved this book!

This story grabbed my attention from the beginning. It made me cry, laugh, and anxiously turn the pages to see what would happen next. It's one of the best "page turners" I've read in a long time!

The story draws you right in when twelve-year old Clayton races across the frozen pond and for the first time wins his older brother, Wayne. The ice breaks and Clayton falls into the icy water. Wayne rescues his little brother but does not survive.
When Clayton’s parents tell him that Wayne passed away, Clayton finds it hard to believe as he can see and communicate with Wayne.
Years later, Clayton works for the Las Vegas Police Department helping to solve difficult cases with the help of his ghostly friends. He needs to solve murders and violent episodes. Clayton along with sprits and angels will fight the powers of darkness. The story kept me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. If you like paranormal religious fantasy stories, you will love this book.

Glad I Read It!

This story may not have been my typical genre, but I am happy that I found it. The author impressed me with the research she used and incorporating it into the story seamlessly. Genesis mixed elements of pain, joy, fear and humor with Christian components throughout. Demons square off against humanity, and angels step in to help even the score when all He'll breaks lose! If you want to be entertained, this story will do it.

Excellent read.

This book was well written. So often the books you read are the same story with different characters. This book keeps you guessing throughout. I like the fact that religion was included without being so forceful as to remove the plot. I found I could not put this book down til it was finished. Can’t wait for more.

Really enjoyable Christian romp

Demons, ghosts, psychics, and priests. It's an urban fantasy with a strong God theme worked in. I'd guess this is her first novel, as there are a few clunky parts, but they don't really get in the way It has a good heart and a great ending.
