25 Mini-Mysteries; Hair-raising short mystery and horror stories; Edited by Dr. Arthur Liebman; works by Ellery Queen, Edgar Allen Poe, Guy de Maupassant, O. Henry, John D. MacDonald, Agatha Christie, and others
there are 25 stories in a 190 page book so you can get an idea that all of these are very short. They're good quick reads, but there isn't a lot that stands out. I bought it mainly for the John D. MacDonald story, "Blurred View," which is probably my favorite in the collection. Still there are some interesting things here, including stories by Arthur C. Clarke and by Poe, Saki, etc.
Very uneven in quality, and a lot of it (especially in the middle section) is pretty lame. Avoid if at all possible the editor's classroomy intro and notes.
