Faith has spent the past eight years as a scientist locked in an alien research lab. When she finally manages to escape and finds out what the aliens are doing with her work, she is appalled and determined to stop their plans.
The alien spaceship captain who unknowingly assisted her escape is going to help her shut down the lab - whether he wants to or not. And she’s not going to let his massive body or the kind heart hidden behind his gruff facade distract her.
Captain Athtar finally has his life exactly the way he wants it - he has his ship, his crew, and his freedom. No mouthy little human is going to interfere with any of that, no matter how much she tempts him or how much his instincts demand that he claim her. If only he weren’t as tempted as much by her brilliant mind as by her luscious body.
Can Faith and Athtar fight their overwhelming attraction long enough to defeat the evil scientists and stay ahead of the Imperial Fleet? And when the battle is over, can there be a future for the two of them?
Each book in the Alien Abduction series features a different couple and can be enjoyed as a standalone romance.
Okay, so I'm not saying it would be cool to be kidnapped by aliens, intent on selling me into slavery, however... if I knew that an alien viking would be my hero...
I'm just sayin.
Athtar was absolutely delicious and although he was a reluctant hero, he was indeed a remarkable hero in this story. He even made my somewhat blah feelings for Faith a bit easier to bear.
I don't know why the author didn't mention that the book included spanking and anal sex?! 😡 In fact I don't like this kind of books and usually avoid them. 😐 The use of (F) word was ridiculously very over. 😱 I don't know why I should read all this swearing in very sentence? 😤 Why was Faith tripping most of the time?😕 should the scientists be clumsy and wear glasses? 😒 I read every book in this series and I enjoyed it but with every book I lose my interest too. I noticed that most of the readers rated the story 4 or 5 stars but I put 3 because the absent of warning and I wish the other books will not turn to be spanking and. ........ 😨.

l liked the concept behind this book, but I just didn't feel excited about it.
I enjoyed getting to know Faith's story and seeing Faith, Athtar, and the crew shut down the lab. I personally love when action-adventure and romance combine and this book has a fun streak of that, which kept me wanting to find out more.
If it wasn't for the adventure, I don't think I'd have continued with this book. The prose was too plain for my personal taste and the characters weren't particularly rounded. For example, Faith seems to be magically good at 'hacking' or 'chemistry-ing' her way around anything. There's not much she can't do science-wise, and she reminds me of a Mary Sue in this regard. Athtar always says fuck and is incredibly possessive of Faith. Those elements are used to present him as a 'tough', 'alpha' figure.
I feel like there were deeper, more nuanced ways to show that Faith was smart and Athtar tough than just sticking to these few character bits throughout the book. Hearing Athtar say fuck in basically every sentence got quite repetitive at the end, as did Faith's absolute mastery of the sciences. Maybe leaning more into the adventure component and giving Faith and Athtar more challenges to deal with could've provided space for them to show different sides of themselves?
Oh, and something that irrationally annoyed me about the steam was the lack of lube or any magical alien slick substances to make things less painful in the anal scenes. Ouch.
Faith was abducted and forced to work on a lab where scientists threaten her with bodily harm if she doesn't cooperate. It's not graphic but it isn't a brief mention either. There is discussion of potential sexual assault due to her precarious environment - however, Faith is never assaulted.
Book 6 in the alien abduction series. Each book in the Alien Abduction series features a different couple and can be enjoyed as a standalone romance. BUT..I recommend reading each book in sequential order for full reading enjoyment!
I have been drying for this book from the moment we clapped eyes on Athtar. The rough, gruff and grizzly space captain of the Dancing Lady.. whose heart of gold equal parts earned and stole a space in my book boyfriend harem hall of fame with his love for his 'space dog' Precious, the word 'fuck' and his human Faith.
This guy is the real deal when it comes to 'marshmallowness' and I wouldn't of had him portrait any other way. This book starts up part way through book five in the series... and immediately dives into the world that has been lovingly crafted over the previous books...this book was filled with fast paced action, extreme chemistry and steamy space bonks!
And I loved every second... Faith was and is a fantastic leading lady...Athtar and Wonderful leading man..and I am a very very happy Bubbles The Book Pimp.
*WARNING* For readers 18 years and older. Each book in the Alien Abduction series features a different couple, and can be read as a standalone romance. I Athtar is a big, blue alien that is the commander of The Dancing Lady. Athtar doesn't like to do jobs for the emperor, but sometimes it's inevitable. Faith is an Earth scientist that kidnapped 8 years ago. Faith has tried to escape multiple times, but the weather on the awful ice planet is so bad that she probably couldn't survive outside anyway. When Faith sees a stranger show up, she has to try to get on his ship and get away. This is such a great story. Faith is an amazing character. Faith is smart, brave, mouthy, loyal, nerdy, and determined. Athtar seems to be quite different, he is more brawn than brains. I enjoy the internal debate the characters have with themselves about what the other would want. I really liked how Faith knew what she wanted to do and wouldn't take no for an answer. I would recommend this book to any adult sci-fi romance reader.
If you needs a fowl mouthed Viking alien ship captain read this is it. Athtar is the perfect example of a Viking in the alien context. He makes you want to just be his bad girl lol or Faith does anyways. After 8 years in captivity Faith needs a male that challenges her but also holds her when she needs. He is a perfect hard and soft specimen. His found family helps her with all her problems and accepts her like no one has done. She is given a boost in self confidence not just by Athtar but by everyone she meets after her escape.
I really wish this series wasn’t finished. With the exception of book#2 (which I will reread - I might have had an off day) I enjoyed every one. The underlying story that crossed through and joined each was well done for the author’s first series. I am impressed. Now I have to wait a whole month for the start of her next. argh. I hate waiting!!
I stumbled across Honey when I had finished another authors books. I have been on a bit of a sci fi romance blitz. Just something to get lost in other than the norm. Where you can do what you want because it is sci fi.
Trust me you will not be disappointed. I enjoyed this one so much that I am now working my way through all her books. Gotta love Kindle Unlimited.
This is the story of Faith, the friend/baby sitter of Ella in book 5. I actually never expected Faith to be this badass.
The ML was kinda likable in a ruthless and coarse way. But there are times that I could not stand his verbal diarrhea. He spewed fireworks with capital 'F' in every sentence.
FL was really a genius and ML was a son of genius. Both were alright when it came to chemistry and partnershi. I mean, it was obvious that they could supplement each other's lacking. But there are times that I felt that the ML was similar to a kid throwing some tantrums.
I also wished that the sex was minimal. It's as if almost every chapter had sex and sometimes I just roll my eyes because I wanted the story to progress outside the bed/wherever then the two just went boom boom clap clap.
Also there's a scene
My review is not for intelligent discussion. It's what I felt/thought while reading the book. For 2021, I would rate the book this way: 1 - DNF'ed 2 - does not exist 3 - did not like 4 - it was okay 5 - I like it / I enjoy reading it (but it doesn't mean I recommend it)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖/𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒: Okay so, there was a lot of F*ck and F*cking in this one. Like, Athtar drops the F bomb like nobody's business. I was dying! Sometimes it felt like a bit too much, I think it would've worked even better if it wasn't used in almost every sentence, but it still was f*cking hilarious! This was a super fun "fight my feelings" romance. These two quickly became intimate and then quickly caught feelings, and denied those feelings. But then quickly accepted them. It was a roller coaster! It was great to finally see Athtar find a mate and to enjoy more of our protective Precious! And Faith was a genius! I loved seeing her and Ella reunite and of course seeing previous characters returning. I love this little group of people so much. ♡
I decided not to finish this book and so my look into the series ends here for now. I really wanted to enjoy these books, but with each one my attention waned a little more. I wasn't sure what the problem was, I just seemed to dread reading these more and more. Perhaps it is simply a difference in style. I want to like the books and I like the ideas, but in the execution it just loses me. It doesn't help that these are some of my least favorite tropes. Every book just had me waiting for it to end.
These books are extremely sexually charged, which made them hard to read and largely everyone made me uncomfortable. There were a lot of moments that made me uncomfortable and set my teeth on edge, particularly anything involving Kievan. But we also had infantilization and unwanted pregnancy as a result of rape. Every book had some new icky thing I wanted to get away from.
But even now I find myself thinking of the other books in this series, my curiosity getting the best of me as I want to know what happens to these characters and the world at large. But these books just don't make me happy and I need to set them aside at least for now. Maybe one day I'll come back to these and pick up where I left off, I just can't carry on like this.
Seriously though, these books are ridiculously sexual and I think the second book is the only one I liked even though that one bothered me since Kievan was involved. He watched them consummate their union. I was relieved when he was gone but problems kept piling up. It culminated in this book as Athtar was constantly thinking with his dick, something I disliked in every book.
I don't think these books are bad, not really, but I found the style so off putting, I don't know if I can read more of Honey Phillips at all.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Alright this is a bit of a roller coaster. At the start of the book I absolutely loved Faith. I loved that she was smart and capable and wasn’t just taking her kidnapping laying down. I knew already that I adored Athtar from his previous appearances in Deb and the Demon, so I was so anxious to get to his story.
The issue I had with the story didn’t come up until about 3/4 the way through. Faith’s brilliance became too much. She was the smartest person in the room. All her plans were nearly perfect. She was the hero and everyone loved her. She really faced no adversity and that got a bit old. The only being in the story to have reservations about her (Grabon) was kind of painted badly because of it. Which also annoyed me because I really love Grabon and he deserved better (especially from Athtar)
At one point, I got really annoyed with Faith for how she acted toward Grabon and I have to say that colored my vision of her going forward.
I was excited once again to see Rast and Deb. They are honestly my favorite duo so far. And the rest of the crew of the Dancing Lady were a joy. Athtar was his wonderful foul-mouthed, good hearted self. I loved him and his love for his pup precious. This book was a better read for me than the previous book, I will say.
Despite my annoyance with Faith at times, I really did enjoy this book. This series is so charming and I can’t wait to read the next one.
No lie, I picked up this book because of the big, blue, Viking alien on the cover. What can I say? A blue Viking alien kinda works for me. Especially when he's as prone toward profanity as Athtar is.
Apparently I have a type and it's big, blue, and foul-mouthed.
Anywho. Faith and Athtar. Faith's smart and wily and Athtar has a few reservations about her because of the baggage about scholars he picked up when he was a kid. Those reservations don't stop him from acting on the tension between them, but it does make him slow to pick up the clues about her being his mate. Which, for the record, EVERYONE else sees. It's kinda funny, really.
Big, blue, foul-mouthed aliens who are patently oblivious to things their shipmates can clearly see make me happy.
As for Faith, what started out as a simple escape attempt turned into a potentially suicidal act of redemption once she realized how her scientific work was being used. I totally respect that. She might have been forced to do what she did and she definitely didn't know what her captors were planning, but she took steps to correct the problem once she figured things out.
Aliens, spaceships, sassy humans, and a whole lot of naked time. Yessssss.
Human scientist Faith has spent the last 8 years locked in a research lab. After numerous attempts, when she finally succeeds in escaping she discovers that she was lied to and the project she worked on has a more sinister intent. Captain Athtar unknowingly helped her to escape and even though he has no idea yet, Faith is determined to get him to help her to go back to fix the project and the lab so that the work is lost. But he has his life finally settled via his own ship ownership, great crew and is doing his best not to be tempted by her luscious body. Can they fight their overwhelming attraction for long enough to defeat the evil scientists while staying ahead of the Imperial Fleet? When everything is done, can there be a future for them both?
I really liked this story which looked at Faith who was very intelligent and had been a prisoner for a long time. It was great to see her using her skills to help persuade as well as solve the problems that were around her. I loved Athtar and the way he had the intention to carry on with his life as it was before Faith but he really had no chance to ignore the pull of his attraction to her. Easy to read and understand, I was addicted to this story and really need to know what happened next. Contains explicit sexual content.
Eight years ago, Faith was kidnapped by aliens and forced to work on a science experiment for them. Now nearing completion, she knows her future is limited, and she plans her escape accordingly. Stowing away on a small ship, she is taken to Athtar’s ship, where she learns that the experiment she was working on, was a planet destroying weapon. Now Faith needs to right what she has done wrong, and Athtar has promised to help...
This is book 6 of the series, and although there is an ongoing background story and several of the characters are interlinked, the book can be read as a standalone. If you’re not a fan of cursing or sex scenes, you’ll want to give this one a miss- Athtar has a foul mouth 😂 Athtar is a rough captain, but an enjoyable character. Faith is a clumsy, but brilliant scientist, and the two of them balance each other out.
This was an enjoyable book in the series, readers will see cameos from the main characters in previous books within the series. If you’re a sci-fi romance fan, you’ll probably enjoy this book, and the rest of the series!
First of all, this series is GREAT! I highly recommend that you read the previous 5 books to really understand the characters in this one. I love Faith! She is such a clever genius! And Athtar, big, blue, and bossy... yum! Faith is a scientist that was kidnapped from earth and has spent the past 8 years working on what she thinks is a terraforming project. She finally gets the opportunity to escape and ends up on Athtar's ship. Athtar is rough, gruff, no nonsense, but he cannot make sense of things when he's around Faith! These two have quite the chemistry. When Faith finds out what she's been working on, she wants to go back and destroy it. Athtar just can't say no... Adventure progresses from there. Just when you think the story may be over, there's more! You meet up with some great characters from Ella & the Emporer. Suffice it to say that I really enjoyed this story. You cannot go wrong with this series! Kudos to Honey Phillips! 4 stars
Faith, a genius was kidnapped along with her Ella, who she would babysitting at the time. Faith was determined to escape the lab where she's been camp a prisoner for 8 years. Aboard the Dancing Lady. A spaceship, Faith met her blueViking captain Anthar. She was immediately attracted to. She is informed that the scientists were creating a weapon of mass destruction. Will they stop fighting, making up, and planning to save the empire?
The characters are fiesty, argrumenting, funny, and like a family. That fast paced drama with a definite twist with the personalities of the characters. I like each fascinating sexy book in the continuous line of books in this galatic series. I can't wait until the next exciting book becomes available. Highly recommended.
This felt a bit like a story told in two halves - Faith's escape and rescue from the lab was the first half, and the aftermath of that, plus some issue's from Athtar's past, was the second half. A fun book that does stand on its own, though there are a lot of connections and references to the previous two books (heroines D and E).
I was a little confused about the two castes of Ephrenians and thought the hero was an entirely different race at first. There was a line that made it seem that Faith thought that as well, but a few pages later she referred to him as an Ephrenian, so I'm not sure if I imagined that or it was a typo.
I did start skimming some of the sex scenes, especially once they got into, uhhhh, back door territory. Not my thing at all, and the last few intimate scenes in the book didn't really serve to keep the plot going forward, at least to me.
High steam alert! Wow! Athtar is as smoking hot as you would expect after meeting him in previous books. Faith is a feisty scientist who is much more than Athtar expects. These two are like a spark and a stick of dynamite together! Their arguments are hilarious, and Faith loses more clothes to Athtar passionate responses than three other heroines combined! I loved them individually and as a couple! Seeing them interact with the other characters was also fun. Athtar potty mouth was hilarious, especially when Faith calls him on it. Faith’s reunion with Emma was heartfelt, and seeing Athtar get teased by Karthajin and Rast was humorous to say the least. I really hope we get to see both Studoc and Grabon find their mates! This was a great rollicking adventure, and I enjoyed being along for the ride!
Omg 😍 I swear every time I read one of these books I say this is my favorite and then Honey Phillips goes and creates two more characters that I call hopelessly in love with! Faith is super smart, fun and incredibly strong. Athtar a Viking pirate at heart and one of my favorite characters from Deb and the demon. Together they take on had alien scientists who have decided to destroy worlds and on this action packed adventure they find love, passion and humor. I loved everything about this story and I highly recommend you feed it. It won't disappoint. I know the author is starting a new series but I hope she revisits this one from time to time. I'll miss my friends fro. This series and I hoped to see them again sometime soon.💖💖💖💖
Been waiting, kind of patiently for Faith's story......she seemed like she was going to be amazing, and she was!!! I had no clue what her story was going to be, just knew I wanted it, like now!! The beginning had me thinking one thing, but I was wrong, wrong, wrong, LOL! Athtar, ummmmm if I was gonna be abducted or "saved" by an alien, I'd want him, just like he is, no need to change him. Language and all, I'd take Mr Gruffy pants in a heartbeat! I hope we get more alien stories, of what kind I don't care, just want more.....she does these so well, always a joy to read and I get to escape my reality for a while, best reason to read a book I believe!
I loved everything about it! I never wanted this story to end! I loved Faith and Athtar and all of the crew on The Dancing Lady. It's a smooth story, the scenes flow easily, one to the next. It's not complicated so it's easy to follow, but at the same time, there's a beautiful complexity to the story that kept me awake to finish it in one sitting. Faith is a lovable genius and her exploits will have you smiling as you see them unfold. I want the crew to stay together and solidly together forever, but we'll see if this series continues past this point. I hope it does, like I really hope there will be more and the crew stays connected.
I received a ARC of the book from the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Loved It! I've been waiting for this book since I saw the cover was a big blue bearded alien. It was worth the wait. Faith is awesome! Athtar is a big gruff softy at heart with a foul mouth on him. Love. I especially like their interactions together. She's a genius and ends up challenging Athtar alot. Which is very hot. I want a man (alien) like Athtar.
I highly recommend the book. Read the rest of the series first because it's awesome and has some background that you probably want.
After eight years captive scientist, Faith has escaped from enforced work on a dangerous science project. She ends up on The Dancing Lady, Athtar's space ship. There Faith learns for the first time that her work has led to the creation of a weapon of mass destruction. It's also not long before Faith and Athtar act on the sexual tension between them. Athtar doesn't want Faith to try to destroy the weapon, but she's adamant that it must be done. Will these reluctant mates succeed in their attempts to save the galaxy from destruction? And will a brilliant scientist, abducted from Earth find happiness with a confirmed bachelor space trader?
Kindle unlimited purchase By Honey Phillips Faith was kidnapped with Elle form book 4 years ago while Faith was babysitting Elle. All these years both women were worried about the other. Faith was kidnapped so she could help with the weapon that was being invented on the research facility. The captain of the Dancing Lady was asked by the emperor from book 4 to find out what was going on the ice planet and bring back a scientist to talk to him. This is book 5 in this series. I have fallen in love with this world. Going to read Greta and the Gargoyle now it's actually book 3.5 in this series but I didn't realize I missed it.
Lordy I loved the blue Viking of Faith’s. That is because of author’s skillful writing. Normally I and not fond of bearded men or older men with long hair, but she and through her, Faith won me over. Loved Faith and Precious clumsy ways. So happy they visited his family. Frankly would love another story with pair, say in ten or 15 years? Maybe with one or two genius children that help them stop another world problem. Think it would be funny if she invented something with the kids, and mother-in-law that did help a stripped planet become hist to plant life and cleans water again.
I truly enjoyed the books that have preceded this one but I really liked Faith and Athtar as a potential mated pair immediately. 8 years of being forced to work for an alien scientific team without the ability to escape from an artic planet. After many attempts to escape she stows away on Athtar’s ship and starts wrapping him around her finger without knowing her scientific mind turns him on and why he resents it. Convinced she is at fault for some parts of the project she was working on Faith has 2 goals find Ella and stop the scientists from using her work to hurt anyone. The passion this couple can’t walk away from demonstrates that opposites do attract.
