Young Khadijah felt hopeless as she watched her family fall apart. She had no idea that revealing her abuse would create a spiral that would be impossible to get out of. With her mother caving under the pressure of life and her family abandoning them in their time of need, Khadijah was sure that dying was the only solution.Saved by an unexpected encounter with God, Khadijah became determined to puncture the curses of her family’s past. She had no idea that making this decision was just the beginning of a lifelong fight with depression, dysfunction, and deceit. Puncturing the Deepest Curse is the journey of a broken girl trying to navigate her way through tragedies and mistakes to become a healed woman of God.
This was a tough read for me, hence the reason it took so long to read it. It's filled with so much emotion of happiness and sadness. Throughout the entire book you want to root for the character Khadijah as she goes through one situation after another. If you are an emotional reader like I am pace yourself. Once you finally get to the end it'll feel like you have gone on a journey with Khadijah and all the other characters in the book. Definitely a book I'll read again.
