Liam Paxton has never had it easy. His family life was toxic and he found himself becoming a drunk like his father. The one thing that was good in his life was fighting. That was, until, McKenna Austin walked into his life. Liam didn't care about women. He used them and threw them away, and he liked it that way. Once McKenna came into the picture, he couldn't understand why he had a change of heart. Would he be able to change his playboy ways and settle down with the one woman who made him feel something?
McKenna Austin grew up in a strict Catholic household where there wasn't much money. She wanted a better life for herself where she could control her destiny, and that's exactly what she did while creating a giant secret. She had complete control over her life and her emotions until she met Liam. His cocky personality so wasn't her type, but she couldn't stop thinking about him. Could she let him into her life? The huge secret she created was starting to weigh on her. How long would she be able to keep it? And what damage would the truth do?
The hero is a dick! He sleeps with the heroine’s “best friend” after he kisses the heroine! Then he hooks up with the “best friend” again, after he’s dating the heroine!
The heroine’s uncle is a manipulative prick!
The heroine is a pathetic doormat! Who fuck the hero the day after he hooks up with her friend (the 1st & 2nd time) because she just can’t stay away from him! WTF? Then the dumbass heroine has the audacity to say that it was her fault the hero did those things!
The hero plans to cheat on the heroine with the “famous model”, but the model doesn’t give him the time of day. That’s the only reason he doesn’t cheat! He even says so himself that that’s the only reason! And the heroine doesn’t even care!
Then her really does have sex with the model and cheats! It doesn’t matter that the model IS the heroine, the hero DOESN’T know that!
Then, he has the actually gets pissed and breaks up with her for keeping the secret. No matter how much times her dumbass forgave him for all the shit he did.
While she’s pinning for him, he’s out and about with all these different women.
Then, because “best friend” apologizes, the heroine forgives her and she ends up with the hero!
This book was a joke, just like the MC’s love for each other!
I always enjoy Cassie Lulu’s stories. The way she writes makes you understand and feel what the characters are experiencing. Her characters are relatable and draw you in. I love spending time in the worlds that she creates.
