The Book of Psalms is one of the most intimate books of the Bible, in my opinion. I was fortunate enough to receive a complimentary Book of Psalms through Alabaster’s Influencer’s Program and was in awe of the beautiful imagery that aligns with scripture. I am an artsy person so the format and layout of the book enhance the reading of scripture for me. These books are perfect for people who love to study one book of scripture at a time and give you the space and time to meditate on each of the verses. Highly recommend!

A beautiful book, artfully crafted with a psalm or two on each page. Artist and thoughtful pictures accompany many psalms throughout the book. I was gifted this by my son for Mother's Day last year and ironically, two weeks prior, I felt I wanted to understand more of the Beauty of God. Amazingly in the enclosed intro pamphlet they state, "God is Beautiful." and talk about experiencing the story of how God is beautiful through this publication.

So, after reading a Psalm a day (with a break for Advent) I felt this book drew me into God's beauty. Not only that, but I find Psalms a great prayer resource as I lift up my requests in these troubled times we live.

Want to spend more time in the Psalms? This Alabaster edition includes a NLT translation and beautiful artwork to add depth to your understanding of the words in these chapters. Since 2014 I have been working on memorizing the Psalms in the ESV version. For the past few months I have been transcribing the ESV version in the margins and then reading the NLT to add to help reinforce the concepts that are being shared about God Himself and the many ways we communicate with him -- thanksgiving, suffering, guilt, praise, and lament. These Alabaster editions have been published for all the books of the Bible and are wonderful tools for reflection and deeper study of the word. They make wonderful gift ideas!

I’ve never read the entire book of Psalms before but this was a wonderful medium with which to weather the task. What a journey it was indeed. Loved the print, it was very high quality. The photos were very non-obtrusive and even a tinge hipster, which I can appreciate as I type this from my PNW apartment on a typewriter keyboard extensions for my ipad and mere feet from an espresso machine. I digress, but I really enjoyed this work, and I plan to eventually splurge on the entire collection as an excuse and motivation to traverse through all of the Bible one chapter at a time. Thanks for the effort on this!

This book was given to me as a gift because of my love for Scripture. It is very artsy and would probably make a beautiful coffee table book. It has some beautiful and interesting photographs but, quite honestly, I just didn’t “get” how most of the art related to the Scripture it was to represent.

Beautiful book that present scripture artistically. A great resource for contemplative prayer and scripture reading. I especially enjoyed reading about the artistic intentionality behind the photography and layout choices- it's clear that so much care goes into the design of this & all the books created by Alabaster.

I love the concept of the Alabaster Bible and it is an attractive way of reading scripture. Art is subjective, and I didn't connect with several of the images, but I love the idea of trying to take the sacred and putting it in a beautiful format.

This was a gift from a dear friend and I loved it! The beautiful pictures accompanying the Psalms were soothing and inspiring. The entire book allowed me to study scripture and also appreciate the artist's eye in choosing each photo. I'm sorry I'm done with it, but I'll be revisiting it often!

This book is full of the beautiful hymns and poems of prayer, but it is also full of an easy way to digest and understand the Bible. Reading any book of the Bible most times require a deeper understanding of words to be able to translate and fully grasp what it is trying to convey to us. With this translation of Psalms, it is a simpler way to approach it. It is clear and concise. The stories being told leave no room to question what is being read. Love that it is finally here.

@alabaster_co does it again! I'm impressed how @alabaster_co team used photographs to beautifully frame the message in the Psalms ! A creative way to share the gospel in a modern print with a pleasant visual parallel through the pictures, to our daily life. This book is a new invitation to dive deep into the Word while enjoying the clean look of each page.

The Book Of Psalms is a must have. The book of Psalms is one of my favorite books of the Bible and the way that Alabaster translated and depicted each verse is incredible and so easy to understand.
