Saint’s no angel. He’s grown up in the south side of LA and now runs it with the help of the Devil’s Dust MC. With a loaded smirk and a dangerous trigger finger, any woman would be so lucky to be by his side.
However, his past leaves a thick layer of soot of lost dreams and he’d rather live the life of an outlaw than bother with the semantics of questioning them.
That is until Piper.
Piper’s nightmares dance amongst her footsteps like a bad omen. Her need to be in control and have any man dance at her fingertips gives her the reputation as a tease, but she can’t help herself. The memory of calloused palms bruising her skin fuel her to feel needed and loved by strangers.
Until fate catches up with her and everything is a darkened memory, and the long road to finding out who she was and is, lays in the hands of an outlaw who is anything but a Saint.

Forgy started writing at a young age but never took it seriously until years later, as a stay-at-home mom, she opened her laptop and started writing again. As a role model for her children, she felt she couldn't live with the "what if" anymore and finally took a chance on her character's story. So, with her glass of wine in hand and a stray Barbie sharing her seat, she continues to create and please her fans.

Piper was a hot mess and it was the only way she could cope and survive. She was traumatized as a little girl and once she was able to, she escaped into oblivion. Her constant partying and drinking were a major concern for those who cared about her, but she couldn't stop. Stopping meant thinking and thinking meant dealing and she really didn't want to do that.
Saint had his own demons and while he was being haunted by the ghosts of his past, he dealt with the present. No commitments beyond what he gave to Devils Dust. His pain wasn't something he shared or had overcome and yet he was strangely drawn to the broken girl who would give him more problems he couldn't solve.
A story about two damaged souls is always the makings of an interesting, entertaining, and angsty tale. The Long Road to Us was no exception. Ending with one heck of a cliffhanger, I'm a bit desperate to find out what the heck the author will make happen to these people next. Death is constantly sitting around, waiting for its next victim and after killing the one character who led me down this road, I'm not even sure how to feel at this point. With a heavy heart, I'm looking forward to the conclusion, The Prospect Who Saved Us.
The Long Road to Us is book 2 in The Devil's Dust MC Legacy. This is Piper's story and she is Cherry's daughter and Lips stepdaughter. I really enjoyed this story although I was sad to read what Piper has been doing to herself and the revelation from her childhood was heartbreaking. Saint was a great match for Piper, they had great chemistry and Piper felt safe around him. My heart was crushed with the fate of one of the most beloved characters. I was hoping it wouldn't go this route but it did and I was in tears. I was a little confused with the Nomad Kane. Is that the same Kane who is supposedly dead? Who was in fact gay? The mention of that name definitely confused the timeline for me. This was a quick read that I read in one sitting and does end with a cliffhanger. I hope book 2 comes out soon.
M.N. Forgy is one of my top three favorite MC Romance Authors. There is something about her style of writing that keeps me coming back for more. This new series, The Devil's Dust MC Legacy, is just an example of why I love her style!
About The Long Road To Us:
The Long Road To Us is the second book in M.N. Forgy's spinoff, The Devil's Dust MC Legacy and is told from both Piper and Saint's point of view. If you are new to M.N. Forgy's novels, this can be read as a standalone but is best read after reading The Devil's Dust MC Series.
Piper is living her life drowning her internal demons in alcohol and sex. Her behavior is getting out of control and the only person who knew about her demons is now in a coma. She has no one to talk to and no one to make sure she stays grounded now.
Until Saint steps in the picture.
Saint has demons of his own and being a prospect for the Devil's Dust MC allows him to easily fight them. A few years ago he made a choice that snowballed out of control resulting in the death of his pregnant girlfriend and their baby girl. Now he lives his life a one night stand at a time, planning vengeance and seeking retribution for all that he's lost but the guilt he feels inside won't allow him to settle down and form another relationship.
Until Piper steps into the picture.
Now all the cards are on the table and the stakes are high.
My Thoughts:
Holy Shit!!! I went into this novel completely blind, as I have done with all the characters in this series and spin off, and I'm blown the fuck away! I cried so many freaking tears. One of my favorite characters....NOOOOO. I'm still feeling the tears from that situation.
So as a warning, The Long Road To Us does end on a cliffhanger, and yes there will be a second part to Saint and Piper's story! I cannot wait. I'm literally still over here hanging on the edge of my seat, waiting, wanting, and needing to know what happens next.
To keep this review short, sweet, and spoiler free, I'm going to close it by saying The Long Road To Us was the perfect way to start off Piper and Saint's story. I need more and I need it now!
If you are a fan of this series this book will only add to your enjoyment. While it technically can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend you reading the original series first. This has a lot of reoccurring characters that have already had their story. It also does end in a cliffhanger so if you might want to wait for book two.
This is Saint’s story and it is a fun one. He is a prospect for the Devil’s Dust MC and still trying to find his way. He meets Piper and their connection is instant, just not necessarily their relationship. I liked the dynamics of these two together, there were some great scenes. I also loved the re-visiting of past characters; it makes the story richer for those of us who have been along for the ride.
While the story was great, it was mostly about the characters relationship and the issues they had to deal with. I felt there could have been more MC moments. The story was emotional in parts and feisty in others. It was an enjoyable read and I look forward to the second story. I received an ARC and am leaving an honest review. 3.75 stars.
Saint, runs with the Devil Dust MC Clubhouse. Saint is just a prospect with the MC. He's had heartache some heartache a few years ago. Now, he just lives one day at a time. Saint is a rough prospect of the MC who is happy to take all the advantages that come his way.
Piper, is the daughter of Cherry, and step daughter to Lip. Piper has always been at the clubhouse. Piper is her own person, she likes doing her own thing and she wants to do it. Piper likes being around people, she hates being alone.
Piper & Saint get together and of course they said it was a one time thing, but, it happens again and again. Neither want to admit that they have feelings for each other. Piper & Saint need each other. Piper's step-dad Lip is not happy at all that she's seeing Saint. But, Piper is grown and can make her own decisions. Scary events finally brought them together and then an unexpected jaw dropping ending is pulling them apart again.
I did receive a free ARC copy of this book from the author. I am freely leaving an honest review.
This book was so good!! I remember finishing The Blood That Drives Us (book one) and having questions and wishes. I got all my answers and wished some with tears some with smiles. Piper in Saint are great together two broken souls. Both of them carrying guilt that they shouldn't have. He couldn't help what happened in is past but he carried the guilt and couldn't get over it. She was innocent and someone who should have cared for her the most took that from her and she couldnt get over it. Scary events finally brought them together and then an unexpected jaw dropping ending is pulling them apart again. I am not sure if I love or hate MN Forgy right now after that ending. I do know I need the next book RIGHT NOW!!
I was pulled right into this story. The story has secrets, pain, and heartbreak.
If you have not I would recommend reading the below books first: The Blood That Drives Us (Devil's Dust Legacy MC Book 2)
This is Piper and Saint’s story. Saint is anything but a saint. He likes things a certain way and makes no excuses for it. Piper is living with a horrible past. She has a ton of issues. They both like things a certain way. Can they bend the rules the live by to be together? Or should they walk away?
I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
Just a warning.. this is a cliffy, but it's so good.
This story is jam packed with everything. I was chomping at the bit to finish and figure how it would all end. Except it doesn't! I love how it continues from other stories, but also gives you more characters and tons of action! I was never bored! I flew through it! The characters are tough, but you can see deep down the love they feel. How everyone cares about each other, even through all the garbage they've been through! Can't wait for more!
4 & a half stars!!! This book. Wow. At first I was overjoyed to be back in the Devil's Dust world but still struggled to get into it (was me, not the book I think), but by halfway, I had turned off all distractions and turning pages like a mad woman. The main characters have been through so much alone you will cry alongside them while slinging shots, and the twists that appear towards the end will blow you away as never saw coming. Cannot wait to see what happens next.
GD it!!! Yes, it ends on a cliff hanger but what a ride to get to that cliff.
Piper and Saint are both affected by their pasts but what if together, they could help each other move into the future. Loved the story and characters. There a moments of happiness and hot times, but there are also some painful moments too as we say good bye to a loved character. Can't wait for the next book.
Well shit. If I knew this book ended on a cliffhanger I would of waited till the next book was due out before I read it. Me personally I don’t mind cliffhangers as long as I know so I can wait to read. Let’s hope next book is t to far away. Thanks.
First, let me say I love MN Forgy’s stories. They are always entertaining as was Saint and Piper’s book. I love her characters and the storylines are always intriguing. In relation to that, I’d give this book 5 stars. My only problem is the editing and grammatical errors. That would get 2 stars in my opinion. The first part of the book isn’t that bad but the further you get the book starts to have errors nearly every few sentences it seems. It makes it very hard to enjoy the story when you are tripped up so much on typos, repetitive sentences, misplaced punctuation and missing words. I hate it because I love these books so much. My only other complaint is Bull. I loved his books and loved his character so much. I did not enjoy his part in this book. It’s a turn off for me because he was such an important part of this world. Ok, back to Saint and Piper. I really did like them. They both had tragic pasts and were really great for each other and their process of healing. Their chemistry was great and their story will keep you interested throughout. I love Big Chief and I hope he sticks around. I didn’t realize the ending would be what it was and that the next book would be a continuation of their story. Or at least, that’s what I am assuming.
Saint and Piper's story is a big freaking mess. Then it's topped off with a Cliffhanger ending!
Piper was abused by her father, saved by her mother's friends. She spiraled out of control, using drugs and men, to help keep the bad memories away.
Saint lost everything he thought he didn't want. So he went to the Devils Dust MC and became a prospect. Their lives are entangled and their future comes to forefront.
The ending leaves a lot to be desired and leaves a sour taste behind.
Oh my gosh, I just want to wrap Saint and Piper up in my arms and never let them go!! From the very beginning you totally feel for them both. Then you get more of them together and I fall in love more. Their chemistry is fantastic, steamy, and they have a great connection. This story is full of action, drama, twists and turns till the very end. It leaves you in a cliffhanger that'll make your scream lol.
I don’t know what Forgy’s ethnicity is, but I know that the constant description of Saint’s skin color is cringeworthy. I mean “Hershey bars”… really? I mean, we get it, he’s biracial. Why does it have to be such a big deal? Why is his skin color in her mind all of the time. It reads as hella fetishized. I was totally distracting.
I hope she does better next time she decides to write a person of color.
Very slow snail pace until the hit and run, the story pick up towards the end. While for Saint and Piper's chemistry is like burning Ember that got fan by the hot wind to sizzling then go steamy by the minute. Slow but steady, this prospect and the biker princess will have to fight their way to be together
I gave this book 4 stars because I don't like when someone is brought back from the dead like we won't notice that. Anyone that reads books in order will notice this. This still a good addition to the series, and without even reading the next one, I know who the momma is, and it's going to be good!
A wild, crazy and intense roller coaster ride to go on with Saint and Piper. They are two people fighting their own demons that find something in the other that causes all that pain to go away. I enjoyed this story.
4 amazing ⭐️ 2,5 in spice. This is hot, crazy suspenseful and yummie. WARNING! Ends with a BIG cliffhanger, don't go into this thinking about this as a standalone book, it's NOT. You need book 2 to get any kind of closure. Forgy should've made this into 1 longer book. It doesn't make sense at all that she cut this into 2 books in the middle of the story...
Also this book feels rushed, many, many typos and a character is mentioned alive when killed off in Sin City Outlaws which happens before this book.
