For the first time, all eight books in the Beckett Boys series in one box set! Meet The Beckett Boys. Each One Dirtier And Rougher Than The Next…SMITH I want her. Plain and simple truth. I want her. I want to push inside her. I want to grip her hair and tug her scalp and lick her bared throat. I want to tie her wrists and ankles to my bed, make her helpless, weak, begging for me. I want to leave my marks on her, bruise that delicate flesh, have her sore and aching after I ravage her. But my cravings are most definitely too dark for her. I’m not the white-picket-fence kind of guy, and I can’t let myself start thinking otherwise. I should stick to the kind of women I’m used to, the kind who are fine with one night. Aubrey deserves love, real love, the kind of love I’m incapable of. The problem is she’s all I want. I know I can only destroy her. But I can’t stay away. AUBREY I try to pretend that I’m not aware of the tattoos covering him. That I’m not aware of the muscles of his arms and legs. I try to pretend my core doesn’t tighten in response to his raw masculinity, pretend I don’t want him to push me up against the wall and have his way with me. I’m so attracted to him I can barely focus. He thinks I’m naive, and maybe he’s right. Am I really so naïve as to think that maybe what Smith and I are doing is different? Or is this just me being blind? Sometimes I can see every emotion on his face. Other times, I can’t tell a thing he’s thinking. I’m plagued by doubts, yet also trying to convince myself that I know what I know. I’m not just a random woman to Smith. There’s more between us than that. What that “more” is, I don’t know. But it’s there. Either that, or he’s the world’s greatest actor. Because the emotion in our last kiss was so strong it almost blew me over. If I’m wrong about him, it will shatter my heart, break me into a million pieces. The only thing worse would be walking away… Aubrey’s standing there, lips swollen, breath panting, eyes heavily lidded. She’s so innocent but so primed for me. I could probably take her upstairs to my apartment, spread her wide and plunge deep inside her. But I can’t do that. Because she deserves better than me. I can’t ruin her. I don’t often write reviews, but felt compelled in this case. I’ll begin with the positive aspects of this series of books. The author does an amazing job of creating characters you care about, and weaves a good story (though the twists become rather formulaic). And the sex scenes are HOT! Steamy and scintillating.
However, I was extremely distracted by the obvious lack of editing. I finally resigned myself to making mental edits during the course of reading, in order to overcome my distaste of the horrendous grammar and the multitude of typos throughout. Many of these were so glaring that even the least qualified of editors would certainly have caught them, which leads me to believe there was no editing done on this book before publishing. As a reader, I feel disrespected by this oversight and lack of care.
Really liked the characters and their development even though they had a similar thread to them all. Really disappointed in the proofreading for these. Just looks like there wasn’t any attention to details- wrong names at times and glaring errors.
The Beckett : The Complete Series Box Set ( 1_8) by Olive Chase
I reread the Beckett Boys because I hadn't read about the cousins Jack, Hale, Hudson and Axe. These guys are sexy, , good looking ,hard working rowdy , misunderstood a nd underestimated. The Beckett name is viewed as trouble on both sides of the family.because of a rowdy bar and because of a protection business. There is also bad blood between the cousins because of a debt that supposedly wasn't paid off between the dad's.. This story has a lot of twist and turns but the Beckett boys fall hard when each of them fall in love with the women they never realize d they craved. This book is for very mature readers due to some very graphic dialogue and actions.
I read the reviews before I went into this and was unsure if I would finish but, I have and I really enjoyed it. We started off with Smith and his brothers, each was a quick read and each had their own story to tell. They were all really hot alpha males with their equally strong partners. Lots (sometimes too much) hot scenes but all in all I did enjoy this read and would reccomend
I enjoyed one of Beckett Boys stories. They were steamy, hot and sexy. Everyone had an give and take moment. I really loved the women in these stories. As it came to the last 3 stories, I found there a lot missing pages and it through me off. To had to figure out what the was saying was mind boggling. But , that didn't keep me from falling for every last character. I hope you all enjoy these stories.
The books are a good story that flow into each other, each different but good romance. Maybe a little too redundant and gratuitous sex, but just my opinion. The woman are all "gorgeous" or "beautiful" in the men's mind but maybe a little more description for the reader. Same for the men besides the Beckett "good looks, ripped, and a big member." I read all eight though and enjoyed the ride...er, read!
It was basically the same story 8 times. Bad boy meets nice girl, they fuck like crazy, break up and then get back together. I also saw mistakes, that should have been caught by a proof reader. I didn't like some of the language that was used. I read all 8 of the books, but kind of feel like I wasted my time.
This is a good series of books describing the lives of all the Beckett boys. They each find their own way and learn to love. It tells of hardships they each face and how they grown as individuals. A good read.
This set would have been 10x better had it been properly edited. There were a lot of grammar mistakes and parts of the story that didn’t make sense or the wrong character name was used. The stories also all felt the same.
When bad boys meet the the right woman the fall is inevitable! And the men of the Beckett family are deliciously bad. The story line is smooth and from one book to the next you never loose the thread Olivia Chase created. Would love an epic epilogue to really finish it.
I can’t say enough about how much I loved this series! From Smith to Axel, I was hooked. I highly recommend you read this series. It’s a can’t put it down page turner! I’ll be checking out more by Ms Chase!
Every time I read a book in this box set I thought 'oh, this is my favorite character'. By the time I got through Axel's story I realized that they were all my favorite characters. I lost a lot of sleep reading these books they were so good.
