A VG take on John as no-longer-fully-human avatar of a sentient Atlantis.
The first part is more concerned with internal strife — including some bad judgement on Weir's part with military consequences, but her character is plausible and not insane, as in some Weir-bashing fics.
The latter part is more focused on preparing for Wraith hive ships, though issues of chain of command, etc., are not forgotten. O'Neill's voice and choices feel right, when they get back in contact with the SGC.
There are clever elements re. what John (and Atlantis) can do by manipulating energy flows, though at a cost. Certain canon events come into play, with appropriate adjustments.
Throughout, John and Rodney must fumble their way to figuring out what they are to each other.
At the SPaG level, it was well written, AFAICR.
