For thousands of years an alien race known as Daemons, have come to Earth every 666 years, to search for the descendants of the Nephilim, the Eliouds. 666 days later they leave with seven young Elioud girls in tow. During those 666 days utter mayhem and devastation reigns on Earth.

Lilith is one of the seven Elioud girls who must brave a week-long journey through a devastated New York to reach home and her sisters. Even though none of the girls know what fate holds in store for them, they have been raised to sacrifice themselves for the greater good of Earth. They have been raised to brave the vampire race that is attacking Earth. But when they meet the leader of the Daemons, they soon realize that they are dealing with the Devil himself.
Lilith learns that most of the human legends and myths are based on the regular visits of the Daemons.

Raised and trained to kill the invaders Lilith realizes that she is in over her head, when the girls are introduced to the seven sons of the devil, their future husbands. After Seth chooses her she knows that fate has more in store for her besides killing the enemy.

This is the 2nd book I've read written by Marietta Standlee; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.

This was such an interesting read. It had a great concept, character development, and an intriguing world. I didn't ever want to put this book down, and read it all tonight while at work. I am really glad I took a chance on this one because it was well worth it.

Myths and Legends with an intriguing twist come together in The Chosen

I absolutely enjoyed reading this paranormal romance! I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys new takes on ancient history, loves sci-fi, strong, determined and smart heroines, adventure and fated loves that transcend time and space. I hope that there will be a sequel to "The Chosen "
