Wanita May grew up in the fruit belt of Ontario - St.Catharines. Crazy-happy childhood, she always has had a vivid imagination and loads of energy.
The youngest of six -- four older brothers, and a sister -- taught her at a young age to be competitive in all aspects of life.
At sixteen, she began competing in athletics (track and field) and before she turned seventeen, she was representing Canada in high jump. She continued to compete, breaking Canada's JR High Jump record (1.92m - 6' 3 1/2" for those metric-ly challenged). She attented University of Toronto, and Kansas State University - winning CIAU's and becoming All-American 6x - NCAA Indoors Runner Up + more.
But you're not interested in her athletic career - unless of course you're curious to know she stands 1.70m (5'7") and has jumped 20cm over her head on more than one occassion. She's represented Canada at the World Championships, World Jrs., won Francophone Games, and loved every minute of every competition. From the grueling workouts, the crazy weights she lifted on her back, the days she thought her lungs were going to spit out of her mouth for lack of oxygen, the travelling around the world and the opportunity to read - her favourite past time.
Life continued with her husband (a distance runner from Liverpool, UK, who she met at KSU) and then their first, then second and finally third child. Their house became full of more imagination and stories.
Wanita and her husband run an online business, dealing in antiques and collectables - particularly jewelry and porcelain (one of the business' website: www.wadeincanada.com ).
After her father passed away in 2009, from a six-year battle with cancer (which she still believes he won the fight against), she began to write again. A passion she'd loved for years, but realized life was too short to keep putting it off.
Her first book, Rae of Hope - from the Chronicles of Kerrigan - will be available October 2011 by kNight Romance Publishing.
She is currently represented by Dawn Dowdle of Blue Ridge Literary Agency. Wanita is a writer of Young Adult, Fantasy Fiction and where ever else her little muses take her.
Really can't decide between 3 or 4 stars rating for this book, but my initial tug was for 3/5 but in a 3.5 star way. It was once again okay like the rest of the books in the series, I'm invested in the characters and story and the tension and stakes are DEFINITELY heightened in this book. I gasped aloud more than once during this book... But I felt like some of the drama was handled weirdly/I did NOT like the way Dylan reacted to some things, especially with context to others, etc etc... But I liked almost all the super dramatic stuff that happened in this, I quite liked the circumstances in this book. I love the that love triangle was explored wayyyyyyy more in this book and something ACTUALLY happened with it. It's been simmering for like five books now LOL. Butttttt :((((( It's NOT going how I want it to, which is okay and I expected, but I'm like.... :(( What's gonna happen now!!! For being the 11th book in a 12 book series, it felt like it LOST THE PLOT FOR ALMOST HALF OF IT. I cannot comprehend how the series will end neatly, or definitively at all, with just 200 more pages to it. It feels like it's coming to a very very sudden stop, and that makes me apprehensive that book 12 is going to be really rushed. All that being said. Solid book but it doesn't really sell as the penultimate one in the series. So much happened that feels unfixable, so I'm interested in seeing how it all plays out in the finale. Very excited about it.
There is no words 😶 to describe this book. From the dragon twin forceful bond to the ranger. The book is also full of humor e.g. the endless walking of Kat. The heart breaking scene of brother and sister parting ways was touching. The twins join blood triggered the event not only Kat. Could their combine blood be more potent than the Children of the star. In the future would have love to see kails becoming kind of the dragon in the badlands and final uniting the kingdom. Can’t wait 😊 till the next book wow
I have to say I've been dredging reading this book because of its title. The team splits up and all go through one torture or another. One line from the series comes back to me - at the end there was a blood bond made with each member of the group - or something like that. This book makes me wonder if our favorite team of royals will get their happily ever afters. *sighs*
I LOVED THIS SERIES! My ONLY critique is that I wish she hadn't mentioned twinkling eyes so much my. I read this book and series very quickly many of them in one sitting, and found myself dreaming of it's characters, yelling at them or for them, laughing, crying, I just got complete caught up on each book.
These books need to be condensed into the other books. At this point I'm just reading to finish the story, not for enjoyment. This could have been six books instead of twelve.
3 stars is being kind...
As with the authors other books, there's typos galore ..
I understand the need for them to finally divide. But how they ended up to be divided, I'm surprised it didn't happen until this book. I feel like it should have happened long before now.
