Michael Clark Michael thought that the arrest of Dr. Chance Ward would quench his thirst for revenge, but it only made it grow stronger. Michael decided that he wanted the big man on top. The man at the root of his family’s pain. Little did he know that chasing the big man on top would lead him to two things. One would be to the love of his life Lola and the other would be the deadly monster called Ghost. Which one will Michael survive? Lola Matthews Being a world known ballerina didn’t fulfilled me. I was missing something. I felt fulfilled once I fell in love but little did I know the danger of such an act. Now I wonder can a new love save me, or will my old love be the death of me? Can I even trust love? Will my new love be my protector or am I doomed? Michael and Lola’s story is the second part of the story. You must read “Love Remembers” which is Bryce and Tanya Clark's love story.
I'm loving these Clark Brothers, lol. The foundation of this family is intriguing, family first always. Lola is a good look for Mikey. Greg/Ghost got what he deserved. I'm looking forward to the following parts to see how it all plays out, I think Sanchez is dirty and I want Ms. Freda to get caught, too. Brava, I truly enjoyed this.
That was a good read. The Ghost was a piece of work. How did Lola let him rope her in so fast? I like The Clark Brothers. They are very intelligent. The D.A. needs to be handled also.
Mike is a beast! I loved how hard he went for his family. Meeting Lola, even under the circumstances was magic. He was so attentive, and protective of her. Please let there be a continuation of their story. I would love to see it unfold. Another great one!
A cliffhanger of sorts. Mike and Lola. Good riddance to Ghost. I hope there's more to this series. The brothers have to have a story. Mike and Lola need to seriously consummate their relationship. We know they are in love. Felt cheated a bit with end. And somehow there's still danger lurking. I really have a huge pet peeve with these glaring grammar/editing issues. Too many misspelled words. These errors really take fun out of these books. I do like this author's stories. The series is a winner. I just hope next story doesn't have the glaring proofreading issues.
I was surprised by how way this part of the book ended. But it left you hanging in wondering what happened to the d.a. and the rest of the mob . Hopefully there is a continuing part to this series. Coming sooner than a year.
This book was recommended by Unique Words. I'm in love with these Clark Brothers. Grandpa Clark is the truth. Greg/ Ghost was a peace of work. This series is a must read can't wait for the next book to come out.
Predictable, long-winded, and unrealistic. Treatment of the kingpin Ghost was uncharacteristically gruesome. Not that that bothered me. I like dark reads. However, nothing in the behaviors of any of the characters led the reader to expect that outcome. It wasn’t shocking or badass; it was unexpected. It was unrealistic.
Also how does the heroine, Lola, just dismiss two years of love with the antihero? There was no interaction with him after her discovery. Everything in this book just read false. Love scenes were repetitive in their description with rod and pole being used ad nauseum.
This was a romantic thriller that could have been more, as the bones of a good story were there. It was just uncharacteristic in its rendering.
Okay so it wasn't the Captain as I believed and it was not until Ghost aka Greg said he put the person through school that I began to look in a different direction. Then I started doing a process of elimination and was still shocked when it was revealed who the culprit was. Who would have thought it would have been her except that it raised my suspicions when she showed up at Det. Mike's house after Ghost set his security house on fire and killed his security detail. Although they made Ghost disappear it still ended without everything coming to light. That suggest that there is a part three. Well Ms. Pigatt bring on the rest of this story as my interest is good and piqued now!!!!! Waiting for the next one!
T.M. Pigatt's Her Protector (The Clark Brothers Series Book 2) the writing was rough, the author at times was too descriptive in scenes or the sentence structure was bad. The dialogue awkward throughout the book. Simply words were miss used. As a visual reader, I really could not visualize each scene as it played out. Somethings in this story didn't fit nor did they make sense to me as I read how each chapter played out.
The DA played her hand, Mikey never said that his witness was a woman, yet the DA referenced a female.
Would I recommend this book? No. The book was recommended to me by UniqueWords.
I am disappointed in this book for several reasons. First there are way too many grammatical issues. Second, the story was predictable. I realized very quickly who "Ghost" was very early in reading the story. There was no consummation of a relationship with Mickey & Lola, so if your wanting any heated love scenes you'll be greatly disappointed. The only love scenes are between Lola & her ex. Finally, the next Clark book unfortunately is not free to read w/Kindle Unlimited.
This book was just as interesting as book one. Those Clark men are truly alphas . They loved and protected the females in their family. The ghost demise was a little harsh but he deserved it. Great read.
I really did enjoy the last book. There was no way I believed that this story would be better. But it was ,so grab whatever you need for you to get comfortable to read an let's go.
