Quinn Valley Ranch #11

Secret Sweetheart

She's a domestic goddess. He works on her father's ranch. They could have forever...if they could take their relationship out of the shadows.

Betsy Quinn is a queen in the kitchen. And behind a sewing machine. And with the gardening. She keeps everyone fed and happy at Quinn Valley Ranch—but she can't stay there forever. After all, her older brother will inherit the ranch and take over the homestead.

She worries about that, but not as much as she does her crush on Knox Locke, the new farrier at the ranch. The problem? Knox's brother is already dating Betsy's sister, and he's worried about stepping on too many toes. So he and Betsy devise a solution to the problem—a secret relationship.

As they work together on the ranch, have game nights with other cowboys, and plan the masquerade ball for the town's Valentine's Day celebration, Betsy finds herself falling in love with Knox.

But she feels inadequate telling him she just wants to cook, sew, and garden. Can she overcome her anxiety and fear and build a life with Knox? Or will their relationship be doomed to die in the shadows at Quinn Valley Ranch?

This is a clean, sweet read. The characters were likable and I could relate to Betsy's life goals since that was also my own. Betsy is insecure about "just" wanting to be a homemaker. She questioned "this is who I am, but is it enough?" I can relate to that. In a society that values the almighty dollar, not having a pay check can give negative feelings either by the homemaker feeling inferior or someone else feeling superior. It took Betsy a while to come to terms with that. Knox gave the wrong impression by asking the wrong questions and has his own insecurities. And Betsy failed to communicate. I think there could have been more depth in the writing about this conflict but it is clean and has a nice happily ever after ending.
The relationship seemed to leap from stage to stage going from crush to boy/girlfriend to break up to make up with talking about marriage to engagement in quick jumps but the book isn't terribly long so I guess ya gotta move quickly.
I like when author reminds me of previous book characters to trigger memory about what happened with them in previous books so thanks for that.

This is another sweet and clean romance in the Quinn Valley Ranch series. This one focuses on Betsy Quinn, who at age 34 is trying to find herself and what she wants to do with the rest of her life. I enjoyed watching her work through her unrest. She feels being a homemaker is not enough and that Knox will not like her not bringing in a paycheck. There are wonderful characters in this book like Granny. Thanks goodness Granny is able to help Betsy see her dreams are just as good as everyone else. Sweet characters and a sweet story in this fun series. I am excited there will be another book coming in this series. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

This is the first book that I’ve read in the Quinn Valley Ranch Series. I totally fell in love with all of the characters - the family, the ranch hands, the town. It’s one of those books that as you read, you feel like you have finally come home. The Secret Sweetheart is sweet love story where, along with Betsy, you fall in love with the strong and silent Knox. I loved that the book was a tribute to every ‘homemaker’, ‘domestic goddess’, and ‘working (at home) mother’. After reading Secret Sweetheart, I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

*I received an ARC of the book, which I voluntarily reviewed. I have given my honest opinion.

This is another sweet romance by Liz Isaacson. Is it weird for sisters to date twin brothers? Knox and Betsy sure hope not. Knox is the farrier for the Quinn's ranch, plus a few others. Betsy Quinn cooks for the ranch, quilts, and gardens. Knox and Betsy are very likable characters and make a great couple. This is a gentle romance that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. I love the huge Quinn family and their noisy get-togethers. The HEA is priceless! I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion.

After much soul-searching and trial & error will Betsy be brave enough and vulnerable enough to admit to Knox what she most wants to do with her life? Can she settle in herself that what she MOST wants to do with her life is worthy of her life?
This is a VERY good story in an interesting setting and kept my attention throughout. I had not heard of this series until I received an ARC copy of this book. I immediately went back to the first title in the series to get a feel for where the story came from and found myself hooked.

Liz Isaacson has created another Wonderful Western Romance Story, in "Secret Sweetheart (Quinn Valley Ranch Book 11)". I 💖 how Betsy enjoys doing Home pursuits: Cooking, Gardening, & Sewing. She's the Cook on the Quinn Valley Ranch. Betsy & Knox don't want their budding relationship to cause a family problem, because her sister is already dating his brother. That sensitivity touched my 💖. Betsy is also shy, & she gains a champion in Knox. I 💖ed the story, it was easy to read. I was quickly engrossed in the Book, & read it straight through. I Highly & Happily Recommend Great Story!

Like their siblings’ story before them, Knox and Betsy’s book is sweet and adorable. Both members of our lead couple have some big ‘life direction’ questions to answer for themselves and they’re each experiencing some self-doubt and inadequacy because of it. This pair is a prime example of how important communication is. Most of their issues could have been prevented by getting clear about the message before jumping to conclusions. The story moves very fast, but that’s okay ‘cause I really wanted to get to that feel-good ending.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.

How confusing would it be if twin brothers dated sisters! Betsy loves taking care of their home for her siblings but what she really wants is to be a housewife and mother who spends her time caring for her family, cooking and sewing! Farrier Knox Locke is shy especially around ladies but makes a great male protagonist. You will enjoy this sweet but rocky romance at the ranch! I received a complimentary e-book from the author. This is my honest opinion,

Secret sweetheart. Liz
Betsy was thirty four, sparks came when she thought of Knox. Does he see her as anything more than to feed him sometimes. With words that he would miss her while he was gone. Both have insecurities, and lack of communication. What if he is the brother of who your sister is marrying. Good story that love
was there, and how they finally decided on marriage

Betsy and Knox decide to "secretly" date because of their siblings being together. A really sweet romance with just enough angst to keep you interested but not become frustrated. They are both shy about starting and being in a relationship and lack of communication or misunderstanding keeps them this way for awhile. Loved catching up with past characters and being introduced to new ones.

Sweet happily ever after

I really like Knox and Betsy. Everybody feels inadequate sometimes. It was nice to see that in Betsy. It was great to read a story about someone who isn’t very social and doesn’t like to be in the spotlight, like Knox. There are lots of people who can relate. Read it. It’s a sweet happily ever after book.

Secret Sweetheart

Betsy had a crush on Knox. When she discovers that Knox feels the same way she is floating on a cloud. When a difference of opinion comes between them they have to decide if they want to fight for what they have.
Enjoyed the story. Knox was a little hard to get to know and he really doesn't say much.

A SWEET ROMANCE

Cute and sweet short story about the lives of Betsy and Knox. She is a Quinn and does the cooking for the Ranch. Her sister is saying for a man who happens to be Knox's twin brother. Betsy has been secretly attracted to Knox for some time but is concerned that others would think there relationship would be weird and she and her sister are also twins.

Siblings

Betsy is a domestic goddess. Everything she does inside and around the house has a special touch of hers. She's crushing on Knox, the new farrier at the ranch. He's crushing right back. The problem?, her sister is already dating Knox's brother. They're afraid of upsetting their siblings. How long can they keep their relationship secret?~

A side step to a job

Liz continues the feeling of this series. It's refreshing to have a Quinn that feels the way she does about being a homemaker. Instead of business, Homemaker is also a career.

I loved the characters in this book. It was so fun to read about Betsy and Knox. They were attracted to one another, but hid it from each other. When they did get together, they were both guilty of misunderstanding what the other was saying. But it ends happily and I hope you enjoy it!
