Opener: “My story starts in late July. It was July 21st, I think. It was the first day of our holiday, a hot July day. I stood in the sun and looked at the sea. It was eleven o'clock in the morning. I was on the boat at Portsmouth with my mother and father and my sister, Louise. Sea birds played near our big boat and the small boats near us on the sea.”
Summary: Girls Meets Boy is contemporary fiction. Donna meets Mark on a boat to Spain. She falls in love with him the very first time she sees him. The story is written from three different perspectives.
Final Review: These love-at-first-site stories really get my goat. This story introduces the element of multi-perspective storytelling. The actual story, however, is not the best.
It's a beautiful short story that talks about a girl named Donna who sees a handsome boy named Mark on a big boat traveling from England to Spain. Mark is very shy with girls. Dave is a good friend of Mark; he wants to help his friend overcome his shyness. Dave makes a good plan to introduce Mark to Donna. He dances with her and encourages Mark to search for Donna and meet her and dance with her. Dave is so smart ;)
Kalau dari isi ceritanya bukan saya banget 😅 Lebih pas buat bacaan remaja, heheh. I read this book due to improve my English (reading skills especially). Yang ini level 1, jadi gaya penulisan (bahasa) nya simpel..
A good book for English beginners, you can learn how to describe anything. It does paint a nice picture, sometimes I did think the descriptions were too much, but a good and easy read for kids anyways.
I started this book for learning English.. but I have enjoyed it.. The line - " I will always remember the first time when I saw him"., reminds me the same feeling of this line... This story matches a little bit with me..
Reading this story does not mean that i agree with the author on his ideas, it is the opposite , my main goal behind reading pinguin series is to improve my Englis.. This story can attrackt teens... the style is simple, and as a biginner it's benificial for me..
