A poignant family saga - Paula O'Brien wants to escape her family and start afresh, but she is scared of defying her abusive father. However, when she sees a newspaper advert for a live-in nanny her best friend Laura persuades her to apply. When Jeffrey Lawson, grieving for his beloved wife who died during childbirth, invites Paula to an interview, she doesn't realize it will change her life for ever . . .
Woman has a past, woman gets hired by widowed man to take care of his kids, past comes back to haunt woman, man rescues woman, man loves the way woman loves her kids, man and woman fall in love and get married. The end.
This almost got a 2 star. The story was really good, but I didn't care for the writing too much. I felt it was a little repetitious and to over the top with the nicey nice stuff.
