Ben's sister is in a mess - she's being blackmailed and he's the only one she can trust. But when he tries to help he realises that she may have been involved in a grisly murder. Can he help her get out of trouble? Or will the police be more interested in his past?
Very quick read, easy to read but parts of it are quite cliché. It's a nice little book if you are looking for something that is not very complicated and something you don't need too much brainpower to compute. I do realize that I am not in the intended audience(age group) as I believe this is a middle grade book but it is nice to read something short that one can finish within a day. I find the characters lack a bit of development, they could be more detailed out to be that little bit more realistic. I still enjoyed reading it and would recommend it to people in their teens.
The story was quite good, but the english was really simple and repetetive. I don't really get that, because the language makes you think the book was made for older kids/ beginners at English, but the story is "grown-up". Not really my cup of tea.
Besides, you don't really get to know the characters, which could be explained by the fact that the book is quite short, but I think the writer could've described them a bit better. Over all, this was a quick and easy summer read whick didn't really involve a lot of thinking.
