My DC has this in his office. I've been reading it in dribs and drabs before appointments.

Some nice photos, but of all the things listed, there were maybe three that were of even mild interest. Guess I'm not into the idea of crowded into loud touristy places or watching people roll large rounds of cheese down hillsides. Burning Man? Couldn't pay me to go there.

3.5 stars. A great compilation of events/gatherings around the world. I've added three from this book to my personal list of must-dos: Vernal Equinox at Chichen Itza (Mexico), Illumination of the Temple of Abu Simbel (Egypt), and Ganesh Chaturthi (India). There are one or two more where I would like to be a spectator, but only from the safety of a hot air balloon...

Definitely some very interesting events to 'Not Miss' like the Testical Festival (yes, that would be a festival celebrating and eating ol' "Rocky Mtn. Oysters") and the Dog Sled Competitions in Alaska... And tons more neat events throughout the world. I hope to see some of these events someday.
