Evalle and Storm by Dianna Love, Beladors Book 10.5

Evalle needs to heal (from the prior book kidnapping and torture). Storm wants to bond with Evalle to make her stronger. And of course, because he loves her. Evalle doesn’t want to harm Storm because the insidious dark magic is still inside her.
It’s a bit of a love story in this urban fantasy series. Storm and Evalle are working to solve a murder, this time from Storm’s past Indian heritage, when evil and dark magic threaten their lives.

This book is best read as part of the series, but because it takes place mostly with just the two of them from the series, I think it could be read as a standalone romantic suspense. The first couple of chapters do include many of the standard cast of characters including the adorable Feenix, the pet gargoyle.

I listened to the audible version by Stephen R Thorne who has narrated since book 4 of the series. Thorne has mastered the pronunciation of all the interesting character names and locations. He is a dynamic narrator with an impressive accent.

I really enjoy this urban fantasy series. There is always an incredible amount of danger, thrills, evil magic and the triumph of good. There are tense situations and no easy work for all concerned. I’m really glad to know the series will continue.

WOW! High energy action and suspense this story will keep you on the edge of your seat from the first page to the last. Evalle and Storm have been through hell together and apart but we have never questioned their love for one another. This story tests them both in ways that left me breathless. I absolutely adore this series and was thrilled to my toes with this installment. I’m sure it will be a favorite for years to come.

Evalle and Storm by Dianna Love is book 10.5 of her wonderful Belador series. I love this series, and can’t wait to dig in and enjoy each and every book of this series. In Evalle and Storm, Dianna gives us another exciting and tense story, even though it is a short story (a bit more than a novella). I love Evalle, who is one of my favorite kick ass heroines.

When the last book left off in Treoir Dragon Hoard, the gang saved Evalle, but the cost for her was mind boggling; she could no longer shift to her Gryphon. Evalle and Storm is a story we have been waiting for a long time; a tense but romantic story of our favorite couple. Storm can see how Evalle is not handling her loss of her Gryphon, and sees she is slowly losing her other powers. He tries to convince Evalle to bond with him and he can help her bring back her powers; but Evalle is afraid that if she bonds to Storm, she may infect him with whatever is still growing inside her.

When Storm is called by an uncle to help a serious deathly situation in Arizona, he and Evalle fly to investigate. As Evalle keeps weakening, Storm is concerned and despite his working to solve a dark majak murder, he is hoping a seer or their medicine man might be able to help her.

What follows is an exciting adventure that will put both Evalle and Storm’s life in danger. But most of all, it is a beautiful romance between two people we have rooted a long time for. We know Storm will do anything to save Evalle; but will Evalle be able to rise up and save herself? Another wonderful part of this story, was a sweet chapter early on revolving around Feenix, our wonderful adorable cute Gargoyle pet of Evalle’s. In my last review, I asked Dianna to give us more of Feenix, and I was so pleased to see this happen. More more Feenix.. 😊

Evalle and Storm was an exciting and romantic story line, with a frantic climatic finish. Dianna Love always gives us great stories, and wonderful characters. I loved how she devoted this book to Evalle and Storm. Very well done.

If you love paranormal, urban fantasy, exciting adventures and romance, with fantastic characters you should be reading this series, as Dianna is one of the best. You need to start with the first book, in order to know Evalle (one of the best kick-ass heroines) and meet all the Beladors. If you have not read Dianna Love, what are you waiting for?

Emotional issues and tough decisions are a constant in the latest Belador story, where a beloved couple must live through way too many challenging incidents. From the first time I met Evalle, I knew she was a person who never gives up. Yet what she must face in this book has her questioning the path her life has taken. But with Storm by her side, the journey is never one she has to take alone, even when she tries to keep him from being harmed. Dianna Love gives Evalle and Storm many hurdles to overcome once again, and their devotion to one another is a beautifully told romance.

Although Storm is not normally in contact with his Navajo uncle, his relative’s call has him deciding a trip to the reservation is necessary. Since Evalle is having a difficult time with numerous personal troubles after her recent kidnapping, he does not want to leave her behind and she agrees to accompany him. The jaguar shifter has mentioned many times that they need to bond, yet she fears whatever is weakening her Belador powers plus made her ability to change into a gryphon disappear would negatively affect her mate. Storm hopes getting Evalle away from Atlanta will keep her safer from the malicious preternaturals roaming the area, and there might even be a chance his father’s people could help her in some way. But what awaits the couple could add to their obstacles instead of lessening them.

EVALLE AND STORM has heart-stopping action and genuinely conveyed emotions. I never knew whether a situation would get better for the couple, or if events would turn worse. These two have experienced a variety of circumstances in the past, some joyous and others only filled with painful suffering. In this book which concentrates on their current adventure which takes place in Arizona, each is looking to find the truth and a perhaps a possible solution. Evalle wants her capabilities back, while the assistance of Storm is needed to resolve a bizarre death. While they may have their own agendas, their thoughts are repeatedly on what the other needs, not their individual worries. I have always liked how the couple care more for the welfare of their mate than what happens to them personally, and never has the statement been truer than in this compelling story. The imagination of Dianna Love has created an original urban fantasy that is totally satisfying.

Evalle is losing her powers. Each day she is weaker. Even though she's been rescued the aftermath of her imprisonment continues to effect her. Evalle won't endanger Storm by bonding with him. It showed her true character that she wanted to protect her mate. These two belong together. I didn't want their connection to be broken. I wanted Evalle to find her gryphon and be the strong Belador warrior that she had been. Storm is very protective of Evalle. I was impressed how he tried not to hover. I know that was difficult for this Skinwalker. Can they work together to heal her? This is an exciting story. It's filled with surprising twists. Evil surrounds them and it's putting a vulnerable Evalle in danger. I loved that Storm will risk everything to save his woman. I felt his pain and I was sorry. Dianna Love has done it again. I couldn't stop reading Evalle and Storm.
I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and review. My comments are my honest opinion.

When Storm's uncle summons him to help with a tribal matter, he and Evelle travel to his ancestral lands. In the process of solving the murders that have been happening, they learn a great deal about Storms past and about each other.
I've always loved Storm's character; his fierce love of Evelle, the insecurities brought about by his mixed heritage and his mother's legacy. He is, in so many ways, fundamentally broken, and ye he is one of the strongest characters in the series and the perfect compliment to Evelle.
This story provides plenty a little mystery a little action, a little sex and a whole new look at both characters.
I loved reading this one.

Another hold on to your seat story! I always get so excited when a new Dianna Love book comes out because I know I'm going to get a great book and this one is definitely a great read! Excitement, suspense, romance and a few HOLY CRAP! moments just to make sure you are paying attention. I don't know how she keeps coming up with such great stories and adventures, but she does!

*Sigh* It is nice to see such an amazing couple come together forever. In typical Ms. Love fashion, that couldn't happen without a little mystery/suspense and a lot of supernatural action! While not a Belador drama, Storm and Evalle face a new challenge, in addition to Evalle's recovery from her latest "experience," that could have ended everything on their road to forever. As she promised, Ms. Love didn't end their existence but gave them forever in spectacular fashion. Thank you, Ms. Love! And not to be ungrateful, but when is the next Belador book? I'm an admitted addict and don't want to wait long...

Such a wonderful book.

Evalle was rescued and now has trouble with her powers, as in they are disappearing. Storm wants to bond hoping it will bring her Griffin back. She doesn't want to bond because she doesn't want to harm Storm with her damaged powers. Strange lines appear on Evalle's body. Storm and Evalle go back to Atlanta to see if that will help. Then they go to Arizona to help Storm's uncle with a suspicious death and in the process Almost loose each other. But it does allow Evalle a chance to find out to believe in herself again.

As always Dianna has sucked me into the Belador world and made me hoping for more.

Dianna is an awesome author and i can't wait until I can read another book from her. Keep up the great work.

We are finally getting the book we have been waiting for.
Evalle and Storm finally getting to their mating bond.
After recovering from her kidnapping to another realm, Evalle's powers seem to be disappearing.
Storm wants to bond with her to save her and her powers.
Storm receives a call from his estranged Uncle Bidziil in Arizona. They have a mysterious death he wants Storm to look into.
It is the perfect plan to get Evalle out of Atlanta to keep her safe..Or is it?
All around great read..Anxiously waiting for the next book in the Belador series

Long-awaited culmination of Evalle and Storm’s bitter-sweet love story

Almost from the beginning Evalle and Storm have been my favorite Belador couple, and if anybody deserves a happy ending, then it is them, especially after everything they have gone through to finally be together. Even since before Treoir Dragon Hoard (book #10) I have been somewhat upset with Evalle and Storm for always putting of bonding, even though they have assured each other of their mutual love many times. But it never seems to be the right moment and then Evalle of course gets abducted, and because they failed to bond it’s impossible for Storm to track her via their connection. She eventually is rescued from the evil warlock who held her prisoner, but her enforced stay in the Abandinu realm left scars.

Evalle is recuperating in Treoir, but she is unable to call her gryphon and her powers haven’t returned fully either. Her mate and friends have tried to be supportive, but their hovering feels oppressive to Evalle. Also, after having found her again, Storm is subtly pushing for them to bond, but Evalle is afraid of endangering Storm by bonding with him before she is fully recovered. So when Storm gets a call from his estranged uncle Bidziil, Evalle sees that as welcome opportunity to put off having to make a decision either way and decides to accompany Storm on this mission.

While Storm tries to solve a murder that seems to involve supernatural elements, Evalle’s condition deteriorates further. In the end the solution of the strange murders and the answer to Evalle’s healing both lead to the same place, although not quite in the way one would have expected.
I thoroughly enjoyed this mixture of a murder mystery with some unexpected turns and personal journey for both Evalle and Storm. Evalle has to learn to trust herself again, while Storm, who discovers that the things he believed about his uncle are not necessarily true, manages to reconnect with this part of his family through the shared experience of the investigation.

I also commend Dianna Love for depicting “minority” characters – in this case Diné/Navajo – and their struggles in a sensitive and multi-dimensional manner and that way exploding preconceived notions and stereotypes. There is a reason this is one of my favorite UF series aside from the intricate world-building, the mythical creatures that populate its pages and the epic stories of struggle and love and friendship that she puts her characters through. So 4 ½ stars from me for the long-awaited culmination of Evalle and Storm’s bitter-sweet love story.

Dianna Love's stories always leave me speechless. I feel like this one had an even more profound impact because it has been a long time coming. Storm and Evalle have always been special. To see them get this story, and to have it done so well, gives me the warm, fuzzy feelings you get when you see people you love happy. I've been rooting for them since the beginning of the series, and when I looked back to see when that was, I realized I've known them longer than some of my close friends in "real" life.

This novella packed the punch of a novel. Taking Evalle and Storm out of Atlanta for this book was a great decision. I liked seeing the different culture and more of Storm's heritage and family. The way Love brought Evalle into the story was genius. I was wondering how things were going to play out, because she was in quite the pickle, and I didn't think it was a good time for a vacay, but of course, Dianna made it work.

I've probably said it before, but I'll say it again. You can't go wrong with a Dianna Love book, especially the Belador Series. The stories are strong, the characters are captivating, and it's easy to become enamored with them. Now is a great time to jump into the Belador world. Each book can stand on it's own, but they are all so magnificent, do yourself a favor and binge this series.

As a side note, I also listened to the audiobook of this story. It was wonderful! The narration was perfect. I love when a narrator comes through crystal clear, and adds in a little extra allure to a good story. I don't think any performance could have been better than the one Stephen Thorne did. So don't be afraid to check out the audiobook as well.

This book was such an exciting read, we are given so much information in this book about Evalle and Storm, and even though it's more a short story than a full sized novel, it really took it's characters through an epic whirlwind of emotions. There is murder and mayhem as they go to the other side of the country to discover more about Storm's family, while Evalle is still looking to find a way to make herself whole again before she bonds with Storm.
I so love this series, as each new story takes you on a different path of enlightenment and discovery. Each book shows us more about the Belador's and the supernatural world that Storm and Evalle live in and how they protect the human world from the evil that comes to try and destroy us.
This book does really focus on Storm and Evalle's relationship, how they connect with each other and how they both try to protect each other from the bad stuff, but it's not always the best way to go, because sometimes hiding things only make things worse.
Dianna Love has written another great story that held me captive, I was taken on such an emotional journey with Storm and Evalle as they decide if bonding is the right thing for them whilst fighting against evil, as they already have a love that is eternal.

I really enjoyed this story about Storm and Evalle. Two people with preternatural gifts in Treor with other with Belador powers congregate. Evalle had recently been saved from a demonic area which caused her death and which the now leader Tristan brought her back to life. Evalle who is a gryphon shifter ho has lost her gryphon and has mysterious black lines appearing on her body. Storm a man who is both a skinwalker and a jaguar is Evalle's mate. He longs to heal her completely. While back stateside he want to fully bond with Evalle and avoid his uncle's text however in honor of his deceased father he must answer and find out what he wants.

This is just a brief summary of what is happening in Storm and Evalle's path to romance and bonding forever. This author i fast becoming one of my favored author and I cannot wait to see what she creates next.

Yes I received a complimentary copy by voluntarily choosing to read an advance copy but this in no way mean that I have been compensated for this honest opinion. It is my own it is for you to decide whether or not you agree with it.

A young man is found dead in a very strange way, on the land of Storms father. Storms estranged Uncle Bidzill has reached out for Storms help. Evalle is having trouble loosing her powers. She can not even feel her gryphon. Storm decides to go to Arizona to help his uncle find out what is causing the deaths. This will get Evalle out of Atlanta and keep her close to him. He is wanting to mate with her thinking that could help her, but she is afraid that if they mate and she dies she could end up killing him as well. Maybe the trip will help her to relax. She has the idea that maybe seeing a witch doctor, can give her some hope, and give her the ability to heal herself.
Storm catches the scent of dark majiic. Can he find out who or what is behind the killing before more killings take place? Will Evalle ever get her powers and her gryphon back or are they gone forever?
This book was OUTSTANDING!! This is definitely a series that will keep you reading, and wanting more.
I also listened to the audio book, and Stephen Thorne does a fantastic job of bringing these characters to life.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "EVALLE AND STORM" Finally were getting one of the best couples in this series their coming together I've read all the books in this series and I've loved Evalle's character right from the beginning and Storm he's awsome.
Storm and Evalle go to help his uncle Bidziil on the reservation to solve a very strange death to a young man named Sonny that he was mentoring this also gave you a look into Storms heratige and mother's witch background.
Storm and Evalle are dealing with so many challenges her losing her Belador powers, Gryphon, and the black ink spreading on her skin not knowing the cause and coming to terms with his uncle Bidziil and his father Sani not talking to one another for years over differences in how the tribe should be run.
This is quite the journey with suspense, drama, secrers, betrayal, twists that have you turning page after page it's such an addicting read with very well developed captivating interesting characters.
I definitely recommend to get Evalle and Storms love story and you can't forget about Feenix the baby gargoyle he is just to adorable. AWESOME AWESOME READ!!!!!!

I really enjoyed this novel. Like everyone else I wanted more Evalle and Storm but I wasn't expecting another book with them and I would have liked a bit more romance in this book but other than that I enjoyed it quite a bit. This story takes place right after Evalle's rescue and resurrection from the other realm. Storm has been hovering and wants to take care of her but she needs her space to figure out what is wrong with her powers and gryphon. They all decide that the best thing for her is going home but when they get back to Atlanta Storm's uncle calls him to beg him to come to Arizona to help with a problem in the clan. Though Storm doesn't have a connection to his clan he knows that his father would want him to help. But with the need to bond looming over them the adventure in Arizona is not what Storm needed. This book is a must read for all Belador fans.

Inexplicable lashes appear on Evalle’s body as her powers and strength drain rapidly. Certain it’s the result of gentle treatment from her kidnapper (Treoir Dragon Hoard). Evalle’s resistant to bonding with Storm in case her condition would be passed onto him. Not battle ready but released to Atlanta, Evalle rudely learns of a bounty on Beladors.

Deciding to assist his uncle investigate an solve murders on tribal land, Storm takes his fragile mate, Evalle, with him. Since Evalle has nothing to contribute while Storm works the case, she worries. As Storm gets more caught up in the case before talking to a tribal shaman in a matter of days, Evalle gets an offer to have her gryphon returned. But at what cost?

Evalle and Storm is the kind of book that immediatley captures the reader’s attention. The kind of story that results in full immersion and suspension of time.
Drawn to Arizona, Storm is charged with using his shape shifter abilities to track down the person who controls dark Majjik and is responsible for the deaths within his tribe. Overlying his need to connect with his estranged family and help them solve the crimes is his relationship with Evalle. Nothing is very easy in any relationship and even more complicated when Evalle and Storm are being pulled apart by the investigation, threats against Evalle and Evalle’S loss of indentity.
The story is fast paced, intriguing and as always, well written. In typical Dianna Love fashion, the kind of story that ends far too soon and leaves the reader craving the next installment. Thankfully, more is to be found in the Belador series.

Storm has loved Evalle from their first meeting. They have been through many life threatening situations. This story starts after Evalle needed bringing back to life, leaving her with a loss of most f her powers. Storm wants to bond in hope that this would heal Evalle further. Evalle is worried that Storms powers may be damaged by bonding with her.

Storm’s uncle asks for Storm’s help in investigating some strange death that could be due to dark magic. Storm is not close with his fathers tribe as they don’t like skinwalkers, but agrees to go to the tribal lands to take a look and hopefully perform the bonding while they are there.

Has the usual dangers and excitement that is expected from a Belador novel, and Evalle and storm finally get their HEA.

I couldn't wait to read Evalle and Storm's book and Dianna Love does not disappoint!
Stom wants nothing more than to bond with Evalle following her imprisonment, but she is worried that losing her gryphon and Belador powers will destroy Storm's powers and ultimately him.
When Storm's uncle calls with a plea asking him to go Arizona to investigate a strange death, Storm accepts thinking it will keep Evalle out of danger and give her time to heal away from Atlanta.
However, dark majik is being used in Arizona which could prove deadly for Evalke and Storm.
Dianna takes us on a roller coaster of emotions from both as Evalle tries to protect Storm from what is happening to her, whilst he tries to give her space to heal when his jaguar is pushing to bond.

This was another very good book in the Belador series. Storm and Evalle have been thru so much it was great to see them get their HEA but sad at the same time to know they will be secondary characters in follow up Belador books. The native influences on Storm’s feelings and actions were very well done and I appreciated how finally talking things out with family put a rest to the conflict. I was a bit frustrated with Evalle not sharing her very real concerns regarding her condition and its bearing on her mating bond with Storm. It was also educational in terms of how the native tribes struggle with bringing gambling to the reservations and how it helps and/or hinders the future for the young tribal members. All in all a great read.

Love, Love, Loved it! I totally adore the Belador Series by Dianna Love. This is book 10.5 in the series and this adventure takes Evalle and Storm to his father's native birth place to help out his uncle. Evalle, Storm, Feenix and some of the wonderful characters from previous books join them in this book. I finished the book in one day, it is a fast paced, page turner and I couldn't put it down. You have suspense, magic and a look into Storm and his father's past that is very enlightening. If you love the Belador Series, this a must read! Can't wait for the next book...keep them coming

I loved this story of Storm and Evalle and the deepening of their relationship. This one had all the feels all the way through, plus the action and excitement you expect from Dianna’s books. When I finished the story I just felt happy. Dianna is always able to write strong characters that you can connect with and understand their motivations. I especially loved the way she was able to convey the conflict on the reservation in trying to keep traditions alive, yet be able to move into a modern future and give the new generations what they need to thrive. I highly recommend the Belador series, each new story has me saying this one is my favourite.

This is a great book; this is book 10.5 in the Beldor series written by Dianna Love. This book is Evalle and Storm’s book, they have been through so much together. Investigating a strange death in unfamiliar territory threatens to rip them apart forever as Storm tracks a predatory majik killing in the cruelest ways and Evalle makes a dangerous gamble to save what’s left of her disappearing preternatural powers and herself. This is a great book with well-developed characters. Once I started reading this book I didn’t want to put the book down until the end. I can’t wait to read then next book by this author.

Wow! I've been waiting for Evalle and Storm to complete their mating bond, and it was so worth it! I enjoyed getting to met some of Storm's family members and learning more about them in this story. My emotions were all over the place with this one, so I know I've read a great book!

Ms. Love really knows how to keep the interest of her readers. Her stories are filled with so much action and adventure. Then add in the characters and all the details of the supernatural world in the Belador series and it always keeps me reading. I can't wait to see what Ms. Love has for us next.

I was gifted a digital copy of this book from the author and also purchased a paperback copy.

What a lovely conclusion to Evalle and Storm's romance!

I kind of wish that all their friends had been included, but hopefully that might take place in a future book? And yes, I've already downloaded the first book in the spinoff series. After 11 books, I just can't let these characters go--I have to have MORE!

The only thing that can console me is more Belador. Add Dragons to that and I anticipate that I will be very happy. This is a great World, with wonderful characters. I can't waste any more time with this review, because I need to start reading the Treoir Chronicles now....

You'll want to get comfy, because this book is a page-turner! There's a mysterious Navajo murder that Storm's called for help with, and Evalle is losing her powers and vitality. Is there any hope for her? To bond or not to bond? Will it harm or help? I love the Evalle, her spirit, protectiveness, intelligence, braveness, loyalty and her love for Storm. This fast-paced book is full of action, adventure, danger, murder, magic, dark magic, Navajoes, humor, romance and plot twists and turns. This is an excellent addition to this fascinating series!

A continuing great read.

Once again Dianna Love transports us into this world where love, friendship and good versus evil keeps you flipping pages ,totally feeling that you are part of this world she's created. It was great to finally have Evalle and Storm bond and cement their great love and friendship with his
family present along with his heritage from his dad. Great read as always, can't wait until the next one. Thank you Dianna for such great characters and books that give us a break from this world for awhile.
