Great reminders and reflections for a young professional
Being a young professional myself, Irum’s reflections are incredibly relevant for this time of life. Strongly recommend for any Muslim undergoing serious reflection to give this a try. It may put to words some of the thoughts we have and provide a beneficial perspective.
when this first came out, I’d just connected with Irum on a growing social media platform. I was ecstatic to read her work — upon revisiting, I still enjoy her voice and writing style. the sequential way this was written/put together is impactful even after having already read through more than once.
This book was really encouraging, filled with many quotes from the Quran and about the ability to rise in general. Most times I got hooked reading especially when I was in a "getting motivated" mood. I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it to those who want to get some motivation in life and get spiritually inspired at the same time. "A collection of short essays on how to climb the mountain that is life."
I totally enjoyed this read! Irum does a great job of walking you through this journey, tying in fiction with nonfiction. However, I often felt like some short essays could have been elaborated just a bit more. The essays were good— some were GREAT —but I had higher expectations. I loved it and I can definitely see myself picking it up again when I need a short read, when I need to read even a page of inspiration. She’s a great writer and I can’t wait to see what she has next.
The short essays in this book shows the type of challenges and how we should overcome them ,interpreting it as it is part of life. Letting us know that it is not easy to reach the goals that we’re aim to achieve .This book is a must read for all .
