Dominique and AJ...a perfect romance
Editing Side Note: I stopped mentioning typos, grammatical errors, wrong word usage, structural errors, etc., after my first few reviews of AshleyNicole’s books because it was redundant. I just started ignoring them in an effort to simply enjoy the story. However, it is worth noting that the issue is ongoing in all of her books (all 14 that I’ve read). Better editing would bump this author to a whole new level
This completes the 14th AshleyNicole book that I've read - in just under 3 weeks. I'm so very happy that I stumbled across this author, and though blasphemous, thankful for the COVID quarantine for allowing me the opportunity to do so much reading.
I didn't read her books in order, because I was about seven books in before I realized that, not only was there an order, but that the characters were connected (some tightly connected, and some loosely).
And...Wait for you Love, Dominique (Dom) and AJ's story, is perfection. There was just the right amount of drama, steamy sex, angst, sadness and laughter. Just perfect.
'Wait for your Love' also wrapped up the drama that started in 'Play for your Love' (Aria and Tory's story), in regards to AJ and Arias's mom and no good thieving older brothers. We also got the chance to learn more about Dom's unethical and unscrupulous wealthy parents. There were a couple of scenes in this book that were downright heartbreaking (one involving AJ's niece, Rachell), and others that were uplifting (Dom's speech to her staff). There were also character cameos from the previous books that were certainly a bonus.
Side Note: What strikes me the most, and has kept me reading AshleyNicole books over these weeks, is the authenticity that comes through in the writing. Nearly all of her books addresses some type of affliction- whether mental, emotional, or physical. Even if I wasn't sure how true the descriptions were, everything always felt true and accurately researched. Well, I'm an asthmatic (like AJ) and come from a family of asthmatics. I can attest to the the truth within the pages of this book.
I've truly come to appreciate this author.
The most honest thing I can say about this book is that it is one of AshleyNicole's 'Must Read Novels', in my humble opinion. So though I'm on the late freight with this author, I'm just glad that I managed to catch the train. Now, it's off to the next one. Almost up to 2020...lol.
