Dominique and AJ's story was just as good as I hoped it would be. After pining for this man for 20 plus years, Dom finally got AJ but not the way she wanted him. AJ was honest with Dom from the beginning. He wasn't looking for a relationship or entanglement. That's just not what he wanted and, as long as Dom was okay with that, they could kick it and she agreed. I thought it was kind of shytty to long for a guy as long as Dom did and, when he finally notices her as a woman, he only gives her a part of himself. But, I applaud her for not going into their FWB agreement and trying to change AJ. Dom recognized it was what it was and, when she started to fall in love with AJ, Dom removed herself from the situation without blaming him. AJ's stubborn self was in love too. He didn’t know know it, but Dom was exactly what he needed. When he finally stopped making excuses for them not to be together, he promptly flew to Mexico to get his woman. Yaaaaassssss AJ! You betta! I absolutely loved how Dom rallied for Ms. Jean and made sure she got all her coins! Her parents were trash. I can't believe they treated Ms. Jean like that. They were worse than the white folks in The Help. I'm so happy Dom finally got her HEA with AJ. She waited long enough for it and she definitely deserved it. But, what's up with Shara's book?!!! How do you have a series about three best friends but, only two of them get a story?!!! Aria and Dom are living in wedded bliss so, I need Shara to get her HEA too! Wait For Your Love was the perfect friends to lovers read. Dom and AJ’s story did not disappoint! Despite her years of crushing on him, I think their timing was perfect and made for a beautiful drama free journey.

This was good. I am glad AJ & Dom got it together. Enjoyed seeing Aria & Tori also. I loved the sibling relationships also. The flow, plot, and character development was good.

Dom spent her entire adolescent years drooling over the older brother of bff Aria. Over the years AJ saw her as nothing more than his little sisters annoying friend. Despite moments of attraction he really didn’t see anything serious with her or any woman for that matter.

After pulling up her big girl panties Dom decides to give in to her desires and after one night of fun she and AJ come to a mutual agreement of a strictly sexual relationship. I appreciated that both were clear on the intentions. Aria knew that it was just sex and despite having feelings never tried to change AJ or force him into a relationship. AJ made his intentions clear and never led her on. This was an adult relationship where the games were left unplayed.

This was a decent story with just enough drama to hold my interest. Overall it was a good series. Not my favorite from Ashley Nicole but still good! This is a rounded 3.75 ⭐️’s

Wait For You

Boss. The only word I think of when it comes to Dominique Devereaux. She was about her business and her business was about her. I loved it, yet business wasn't keeping her warm at night, or when she got the little hours of sleep she could. The whole dynamic of how she acquired her business, or family business, was pretty bad, yet she worked hard and turned it all the way around. Her parents and 2 older siblings were pretty worthless and I'm glad she had her younger sister, Sage, in her corner. I liked Dominique from the previous book, so I knew I'd like her in this book.

Although he was a straight shooter, I didn't fully like the vibes I was getting from AJ (Allen Junior), yet you have to respect what a man is saying if he's telling you what he feels, and that's exactly what he did with Dominique from jump. I did like that once he started hanging with her on a more one on one, personal level, that he stopped seeing her as just his sister, Aria's, friend, and started to see the young woman she'd grown to be. I loved that he complimented her, even before they got personal. His encouragement was genuine and pure and helped Dominique in ways that I'm sure at the time, he didn't quite know of.

That whole mess with Aria and AJs older brothers, mother and niece was so heart breaking. I hate that it took what it did for his mom to see how dangerous things really were, yet I'm glad she saw the light. Yikes 🤦🏾‍♀️.

I hadn't gotten to One, aka Khaden Mason, and Sage Devereaux story yet, but I'm glad I got to get a glimpse of it here. Gotta Love that Mason Family.

This was so good. AshleyNicole has easily become one of my top favorite authors. Her writing and storytelling is impeccable and draws you in and captivates you. Very refreshing and Phenomenal. Highly suggest this series or any book from her catalog (that I'm slowly making my way through 😏). Great read.

Honesty

**SPOILER ALERT**
This was the most honest and mature relationship I’ve ever read about in all of my years of reading. If more men and women were as open, honest, and accepting as AJ and Dominique - particularly Dominique. Men are often honest with women in letting them know where they stand and what they’re looking to get out of an arrangement - this can go both ways; however, it’s seems more prevalent for women to think they can change the man and MAKE him want more. I really commend Dominique for understanding and accepting the agreement she made with AJ without any extra fanfare or drama. She understood her feelings and took responsibility for her decision and was mature enough to just step away. Wow, we need more of this honesty and maturity in all aspects of our lives; the world would be a much better place.
Great job once again, Ms AshleyNicole. This was so worth the wait!

AJ and Dom, good things come to those who wait

Many had been waiting for this couple’s story, but I was on the fence if I’m totally honest. See a crush for that many years was not something that I understood. Then the book dropped, and I jumped right in. These two steam rolled me into their love! AJ didn’t know know it, but he needed Dom’s love. Dom though she was just scratching an itch, but she was already gone from her teenage years. In the words of Fabulous “I’m a movement by myself, but I’m a force when we’re together “, these two were a force!
Loved it✅ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dom x AJ

I was so confused as to why Dom thought she could have a physical only relationship with AJ. A man you've been wanting since y'all were kids. We all knew that was a recipe for disaster. Aj and Dom kinda bore me a little only because of that little arrangement they had. But I'm glad they finally got into their senses and worked their little situation out. But TBH, I was more into the little drama on both of their families.
Ok read for me!

Oh my goodness!

The story was so good it made me want to slap someone. The author put her foot in this story. Dom and AJ , that was the deal. I know they could see that because we could. The writing was magnificent. Fun, funny and magical are a few words to describe this story. Also, the story was engaging and kept me up all night... An excellent, read 5Stars!

Crush

This story was everything and extra! Dominique had a crush that lasted way past normal time limits. Ashley Nicole always brings the fun, drama and love connections to all her books! Loved how we can see how other characters are doing. Sister Sage and Aria are always fun!

I'm addicted!!

Hasn't disappointed me yet! Love that AJ got Dom to come out her shell and take time for herself. I was so mad at Aria and AJ mother for allowing her oldest sons to just do whatever they wanted.

Dominique and AJ...a perfect romance

Editing Side Note: I stopped mentioning typos, grammatical errors, wrong word usage, structural errors, etc., after my first few reviews of AshleyNicole’s books because it was redundant. I just started ignoring them in an effort to simply enjoy the story. However, it is worth noting that the issue is ongoing in all of her books (all 14 that I’ve read). Better editing would bump this author to a whole new level

This completes the 14th AshleyNicole book that I've read - in just under 3 weeks. I'm so very happy that I stumbled across this author, and though blasphemous, thankful for the COVID quarantine for allowing me the opportunity to do so much reading.

I didn't read her books in order, because I was about seven books in before I realized that, not only was there an order, but that the characters were connected (some tightly connected, and some loosely).

And...Wait for you Love, Dominique (Dom) and AJ's story, is perfection. There was just the right amount of drama, steamy sex, angst, sadness and laughter. Just perfect.

'Wait for your Love' also wrapped up the drama that started in 'Play for your Love' (Aria and Tory's story), in regards to AJ and Arias's mom and no good thieving older brothers. We also got the chance to learn more about Dom's unethical and unscrupulous wealthy parents. There were a couple of scenes in this book that were downright heartbreaking (one involving AJ's niece, Rachell), and others that were uplifting (Dom's speech to her staff). There were also character cameos from the previous books that were certainly a bonus.

Side Note: What strikes me the most, and has kept me reading AshleyNicole books over these weeks, is the authenticity that comes through in the writing. Nearly all of her books addresses some type of affliction- whether mental, emotional, or physical. Even if I wasn't sure how true the descriptions were, everything always felt true and accurately researched. Well, I'm an asthmatic (like AJ) and come from a family of asthmatics. I can attest to the the truth within the pages of this book.

I've truly come to appreciate this author.

The most honest thing I can say about this book is that it is one of AshleyNicole's 'Must Read Novels', in my humble opinion. So though I'm on the late freight with this author, I'm just glad that I managed to catch the train. Now, it's off to the next one. Almost up to 2020...lol.

AJ x Dom 💕

Idk how I thought this was going to turn out, but I was not expecting that.

Dom is a certified workaholic. She doesn't have time for anything but work & feigning for AJ. She's been crushing on him since she first met him when she was 5. But she thought all he saw her as was his lil sister pesky best friend. Her besties have been encouraging her to tell him, but Dom can't even fathom revealing her lifelong secret. Everything changes after many threats are hurled at Dominique & some dancing leads her to AJ house to retrieve her lifeline.

I hated Doms confidence issues, but loved that all her friends consistently reminded her that she was that BITCH ! I mean you're a 31 yr old mogul only getting better with time so of course you're that girl. Aria told her brother that he needed to take care of that part & he did. AJ never failed to say little things that had Dom blushing. I also loved that AJ made it his mission to get Dom to work less & every little suggestion he made, she took. I prayed that she wouldn't get hurt because she wanted more but was too scared to ask for it. I had to hold my breath with everything that happened with his niece & his brother, I really thought that AJ was about to go Rambo. I was so proud of Dom in the end for choosing herself. She really opened up in her time with AJ & towards the end, I saw her as a whole different woman. I'm still surprised by AJ but I'm too happy that everything worked out in the end.

I wanted to rate this higher because the characters were actually mature for once. There was communication! I mean she had a huge crush and he thought she had an anxiety disorder. You know what, close enough? My problem with this book was the characters were so boring and dry. I’m talking wildfires danger red zone, no rain for weeks dry. Absolutely no chemistry between them, it felt more like a sibling relationship rather than an romantic one.

There was no angst, no passion, no my stomach is doing weird things aka butterflies, no I gotta have you now or I’m going to do something drastic, like risk my life driving through a rain storm because I just couldn’t stay away from you. Even Sage the most out spoken character seemed to be muted (I wasn’t a fan of her story either). It wasn’t until towards the end the story came to life a little bit and was able to see a different perspective from both of the main characters. I honestly thought the book was going to end differently, was floored it ended the way it did.

CW: body/eating issues (I'm not sure what the correct CW is since it's not eating disorder but more a lot of talk about her eating enough and being skinny) This is quite a recurring theme throughout the book.

2.5 stars

I loved how mature and honest Dom was about her feelings and being upfront when there was an issue. I also enjoyed the external conflicts and side characters.

Unfortunately that wasn't enough to make up for the complete lack of chemistry or actual emotions coming from AJ, our hero. Nothing in his words or actions until 98% indicates anything more than a friends with benefits in my opinion and when it does appear it sort of comes out of nowhere and wasn't very convincing. He was boring as hell.

I am a huge fan of slow burn but there needs to actually be angst, feelings and chemistry being built up. This was a whole pile of nothing until he suddenly has feelings in the last couple pages. I'm still not sure if he even likes her and Dom deserves so much more.

Worth the wait

Way to go Dom!

She said to hell with waiting and made that first move which turned into some good stress relieving sex, work breaks, better eating habits and some good happy weight! Not to mention a better self view. She finally let herself go, let her hair down, put on skirts, and stopped living and dying by the phone.

AJ loved his family and wasn’t willing to extend his love to others. He may have had lob for you but love didn’t have a space in his heart for a woman. Relationship was a bad word. He was comfortable with the way things were. A little fling here and there and he was good.

These two finally got together. It took a scare to put things and true feelings in perspective.

No more waiting, the day isn’t promised.
Great read!

Love At Last

AJ and Dominique had known each other for most of their lives and Dominique was bestfriends AJ's sister and Aria. Dominique had a major crush on AJ from teenager to adulthood but AJ only saw Dominique as his little sister's bestfriend until he didn't but he didn't want to affect his relationship with Aria. Dominique stepped out of her comfort zone with AJ and they went into an understanding but it left her longing for more. Dominique ended things with AJ and it didn't take him long to go claim his woman. I'm still saying that I want a book/books about the triplets.

This one was just okay. The characters really didn't have much chemistry to me, and because of it, it made for a boring story line. Honestly, I was more tuned into AJ and Aria's family drama than Dom and AJ. I was also glad to see the triplets make an appearance. Ready for another book with them. Honestly, I hope the author's next novel is about Mirror and possibly Shara. Those two together would be...whew chile! VERY interesting to say the least. But anywhoo....

THE highlight of this book for me was Dom's name. Come THROUGH AshleyNicole with the ICONIC Dominique Devereaux! If you don't know who this is, then you had to go to bed early on Wednesday nights, or you just weren't born yet.

Forever crush

Finally get to read Aj and Dominique's story. Dom is a great boss and an even better person. She turns her family business into a thriving success while neglecting herself and her love life. Feeling froggy, Dom bravely makes a bold move on her forever crush Aj, causing her to let go of things and step out of her comfort zone. In return, Aj learns that love and relationship with the right person don't hinder or stifles you. Looking forward to reading more about all of the characters in the future.

AshleyNicole has the uncanny ability to write men that teeter on the line of ass-holish and arrogant in a way that make them exactly what the women they are destined to be with need. AJ was definitely that type of man and Dom was the woman that needed AJ to be that type of man. Waited so long to read their story, and it was worth the wait.

I know I've said this at least fifty-eleven times, but I'll say it again. The growth of this author has been tremendous and she just keeps getting better and better with each release. Looking forward to her next one.

Totally Amazing

AJ finally got his girl. I have wanted to read AJ and Dom's story since the first time he called her Thing 1 in Play For Your Love. Dominick had an obvious crush on AN but deep down I think the crush was two sided AJ was just in denial. A twenty something year crush that blossomed into a love that she realized she deserved, and he realized life was too short to deny yourself love. I also enjoyed catching up on Sage and Khaden and their love affair.LOVED IT ready for the next story

Better the Second Time

This is my second time reading this book. I chose to because I couldn’t remember it at all. Glad I gave it a second chance because it hit a bit different this go around. Unrequited love is my favorite trope so it deserved a second read. I may’ve been comparing it to Aria & Tory’s book which I absolutely loved but was uniquely different from Dom & AJ’s story. I decide to read this book, which I highly recommend you do, read it without any expectations and just enjoy this couple, their love, and their family dynamics.

Definitely worth the wait!

Let me start off by saying you penned the heck outta this book! The storyline flowed freely and I absolutely loved the build up between Dominique and AJ. It was good catching up with the crew as well. There's nothing like finally getting a taste of something you've craved and from the way things happened she wasn't alone. Glad to see these to finally get it together. Looking forward to reading your next release.

Worth the wait

Love is a tricky thing, it has no formula and no timeline for when it’s right. The most important thing in love is the ability to give and receive it equally. As we navigate this story we see what one sided love can do, we understand the difference between lust and love and we for once meet a woman, strong alpha female, Dom, who refuses to settle. A little long on the front end but worth it to see what the story evolves into. Highly recommend.

Finally!!!

They got it together and I’m so happy. It took a minute but was worth the wait. The writing was superb and the story was stellar. I’m so glad I got an update with Sage and Khaden, still want a full on story. Lol but I love they Don is now engaged. I loved how neither of them even realized they were changing each other for the better and what that actually meant. This made my heart happy!!
